Nice place, need to learn how to pour a beer though. Sent back as came out with 2 inches on head

Good pool tables, but bit dead outside of footy season :-) Awesome staff that's always up for a chat and beers are always cold! <thumbsup>

A group of us, from Adelaide, over for a Crows V Demons game at the MCG. We were early, so popped in here for a drink before the game. Now, as a domesticated ex-pom, brought up in the knowledge that going into the wrong pub in the wrong colours on matchday can easily be a once in a lifetime experience, I'll admit to some unease around going to what looks, from the outside, to be a very basic, even dingy-looking city boozer in the very heart of Melbourne territory. How wrong can you be? Inside is a cosy traditional pub, a welcoming vibe and friendly staff. A bar at the front, complete with a pair of classic video game machines and a restaurant area at the back, we didn't eat there but the food looked like good quality pub-grub. An absolute gem of a place. Five stars for reminding me what pubs used to be.

Excellent spot to go before and/or after an event at the MCG. Only issue was bar staff can get a little too busy talking to each other rather than keeping an eye out for patrons waiting to be served.

The beer could be colder. There was no food or chips or nuts at all. The service came with a smile.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat, we had nachos and a big burger, was a good feed.

Nachos were decent, but what they call guacamole is questionable. The 3 bartenders were goofing around behind the bar, one threw a lemon slice at the other, then chased her to try to smash it in her face. Then, they group hugged. The atmosphere was more like a daycare than a bar.

Time to get up to date with current smoking laws. You can't have ash trays out in a food services area. Also drinks are overpriced and the wine selection has always been poor.

Went in for a beer after the Melbourne - Collingwood game on Kings birthday. Security was over aggressive and kicking people out for no reason and man handling them. I overheard one security officer saying he was going to break someone’s scull and then a little later he was going to #*ck someone’s mum. The people he was evicting didn’t appear to be doing anything wrong. Security dude was #96. I left before finishing my drink - I’ll go elsewhere in future, terrible.

😐 Food tastes great 👍 they sure love their spices and I like the kick of it. Fish and pork tacos were great but chorizo taco wasn't good because of the rubbery texture skin. It was unpleasant to eat. Corn chips were a bit stale and guacamole was bland. Service was okay. We gave the feedback to a sta...
