If you like bars with beautiful views it's definitely the place for you. The rooftop is actually quite high up so you feel as though you are part of the city skyline. Definitely try to come on a sunny day! Service is very good and pricing is actually not too exxy. The burgers could be better value for money but as always you do have to pay a premium for beautiful views! They definitely hit the spot though.

Beautiful place with great vibes, music and staff. I’ve been there for arvo drink which was amazing. I enjoy jog drink as well as beer on tap. Not a big look out when you sit, however, you get plenty of sunshine 🌞. Finally, burgers are not that good but, Sweet-potato chips are amazing. Thanks 😊

I do not like leaving such bad reviews but here we are. Won't complain about the prices of spirits as I know it is the CBD & wages on a night shift. What really left me very displeased was the bartender! The interaction with her from the beginning was horrible, it felt as though I was a burden to her. No communication skills, no smile, nothing. If it was busy I would understand. Even the guests with me commented on how rough she was with her communication. Nonetheless great place, music and location. All the best

Great little nook to hang out for the evening. Seats may be difficult to find, but the cocktails and burgers are great. The bar staff are friendly and happy to chat or just gorgeous. Views from the roof are gorgeous. I keep finding myself returning here.

Meals from the Snack Shack are great, and there's a good variety of drinks. But two things steal the show... the night time view and the amazingly knowledgeable and helpful staff. Bring a jacket, the wind can be chilly up there, and be patient with the queue at the bar. Trust me, it's worth the wait, so check it out

After being hard to find (we only noticed it after being at another rooftop bar across the road, and the lift to access the venture was tucked away next to a takeaway shop) we were sure glad we did. We were seated quickly and being a hot day they had the mist turned on, which was delightful. The roof opened up to create a nice atmosphere too. The Rooftop Bar of Curtain House never disappoints and it’s always a vibe. Staff are nice, even the security are decent, and drinks are reasonably priced. Of course, the view is what really makes this place tick! It can’t get 5 stars until they sort out their toilets, which are usually absolutely filthy!

I really like this rooftop set up. Really spacious and music had a good vibe to it on Saturday night. Cocktails were delicious and also served burgers in the corner. Win win.

Wicked venue! Had major league flashbacks to being 10 years younger and partying in the European summer. Just has that kind of vibe, house music, happy chatty people and a real chillout factor. What better way to spend a Thursday evening!! Ordered a couple of Shallow Jalapeno cocktails which were very well made, with a perfect balance of spice vs flavour - the only nitpicky thing I can say is that the glasses were only filled 3/4 full including the ice, but hey that's just being picky right?!? Also ordered a chicken & all day burger + sweet potato fries - everything was prepared to perfection - the chicken burger was crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle, the burger perfect, and the fries just as good, not a soggy chip in sight. I will be back, oh yes, I will be back!

Amazing place and really great location this is the bar in this area, i have gone there for the first time with my friends and really loved this place. They serve really delicious food and they have some really good and strong drinks. They have some good cocktails. The staff is really nice and friendly. The owner and staff work hard to build this place more amazing. 5 stars!!

Your bar attended Jacob is by far a stand out, who made my wife and I a gorgeous cocktail. Our only criticism is that that the cocktail affectionately named a ‘Painkiller’ should be named ... let’s say.. something more optimistic... how about the ‘milk of Jesus’ much more fitting for such a glorious beverage. Such a cool rooftop bar! Lovely views of the city and lots of heaters for this time of the year. Staff were friendly. The vegan Mac and cheese was delicious and a big portion for a side dish!

Had a great few final drinks in Melbourne. The rooftop bar - adventure getting up there, which adds to the ambience. Spoke to the waiter behind the bar on our forever Quest of spicy margaritas. She created the most refreshing, spicy margaritas that we have encountered … so we had another!!!

Staff were friendly, drinks were enjoyable and the selection wasn't too bad. Prices are to be expected on the higher side. Very nice place. The burgers were pretty good considering the location, the drinks were expensive, but the view was so nice. It was very busy when we were there on a Wednesday evening. Hard to find seating. It is on the 7th floor, but the last floor or so, there is no lift access.

I love this spot!! Alcoholic ginger beer is great, atmosphere and music is on point and of course.c being a rooftop bar with a good layout makes it that much more special! The fact it’s not easily sign posted and you need to “find the entrance” is quite cool and almost feels exclusive. I would recommend having a bevy or 2 here. I cannot comment on the food as eatings cheating!! Haha

The rooftop is beautiful. Lots of people having fun, attracts a young crowd. The foot isn't bad, but limited - there's the burger shack. There's a large selection of drinks though, with something for anyone's taste. Music is lounge/house, which adds to the chill atmosphere. Service is good, keeping the place clean, but table service isn't available, only bar. A nice hidden gem, easy to miss while walking down the street, but definitely spending time at and exploring, especially on a nice sunny evening.

Absolutes Highlight. Über den Dächern von Melbourne City Centre. Vielleicht nicht auf dem höchsten Dach der Stadt, aber man hat trotzdem einen sehr schönen Ausblick. Eine gute Auswahl an Getränken, faire Preise und freundliches Personal. Mit etwas Wartezeit gelangt man mit dem Aufzug hinauf zur Bar, ansonsten ist der Zugang mit ein wenig Anstrengung auch über die Treppen möglich (7. Etage). Sehr zu empfehlen.

This is a really neat open-air place above the city with visibility in nearly every direction (as far as the other buildings will allow). Ticked all the boxes for an odd, chill place to hang out. It can get pretty cold though! Only the area around/near the bar had heaters so bring a coat for night outings!

One of the best views in the city with a wide range and choice of drinks. it's always very busy so seating is tough. The elevator to get to the roof is very slow, quicker to walk up.

Not a bad experience, but seating could have been a little more comfortable. The projector was showing flowers.. Something more interesting would be welcome. Bar food was decent, given it was mainly deep fried frozen, but the drinks were well made.

This is one of my favourite places to get a drink in summer. Drink menu is decent and they have some interesting cocktails. The lines at the bar can get long so would recommend a cocktail jug to avoid spending a lot of time waiting in line. But this place is 100% about the view, soak it all up and enjoy than Melbourne summer.

The lift takes too long, so you have to take the stairs….it’s a hike but it’s so worth it! Laid back vibes, rooftop views, cold drinks, great burgers and overall great times. Highly recommend!

Fabulous cocktails made by super passionate staff. Loved hearing from the bar manager about different flavour infusion processes and getting the most out of their fresh ingredients like rhubarb. The smokey Jalapeno margarita was out of this world!

There are plenty of heaters if the night is a bit chilly and the hot chocolate or mulled wine can warm you up from the inside. Top 5 rooftop bars in my list! Almost 360 degree views of Melbourne, great staff, great drinks, great vibes. An unmissable venue. My only issue here is the 1 tiny lift which is super slow and super tiny. For a venue of this capacity it's kinda ridiculous and it's been like this for the last 15 years or so, time to upgrade or let body corporate / owner know

This bar is a MUST-DO while in Melbourne. Catch the lift if you're not very fit and don't look down when you clambering the final flights of stairs to the top. With perfect weather this little oasis is a cracking spot to sink a few.

I went for the rooftop cinema. Deadpool2. It's not too bad. I'm the other side of 45, and I found most of the patrons on the much younger side. Still great open air cinema and the drinks are reasonably priced

I climbed the stairs years ago to visit a Melbourne roof to cinema - and thought, that's good idea done wrong... I recently revisited and took the lift to see a well designed venue with a great mix of patrons and still showing movies - well worth a visit

A very nice place to hangout with your friends. The view was good and the DJ was amazing. Bartenders were very friendly. The prices were reasonable and worthy with a variety of drinks. I had an amazing time with my friends. Highly recommend it.

Top suggestion when you search for a rooftop bar in Melbourne, elevator was out of service but it is only on level 6-7, worth the hike up the stairs. It's in a good CBD location and on the roof is spacious with a good atmosphere, burgers are delicious and the drinks are excellent all for a good price. Would and probably will definitely visit again on a nice day.
