I celebrate my bday at Pilgrim with High Tea and Gin and it was incredible! Bottomless bubbles -perfect and good quality bubbles- for two 2h, delish savoury and sweets pastry and extra three gin+tea cocktail. The Venue has a great vibe next to Yarra, and the staff was very friendly and engaged to top up the bubbles all the time. My crew arrive a bit late for the bottomless tea+gin, so they was very kind and let us enjoying the drinks a bit longer. Definitely will recommend to my friends 🥰

Had Christmas party drinks here..gorgeous location facing the yarra. Food was fine - pork belly bao was really good, cheeseburger, croissant with curry chicken and pizza were nice too. Desserts were chocolate cake and lemon curd cake and both were disappointing. Staff is nice and attentive!

The 4 of us had the gin high tea experience, which was thoroughly enjoyable. Wait staff were beautiful - explained each drink and morsel, plus attentive to boot. The gin pairings were a nice touch. Being by the Yarra River gave excellent views and being a mild afternoon, ambience was perfect. The food paled slightly in comparison, as the scones were not as fluffy fresh, and the bread was stale. The hot food was a tad cool. Otherwise, superbly executed!

We went to Pilgrim for the High Tea on a Friday evening and the atmosphere was fantastic! Absolute value for money with 3 very different gin cocktails and bottomless Prosecco. The food wasn’t the traditional High Tea offerings but they were unique and some were delicious (the chicken croissant was divine). Ella and Thai were out servers and were extremely attentive, even closing the blinds when the weather randomly changed (thank you again).

The gin high tea is such a nice experience. The staff are wonderful - special shout out to Taya who took such good care of our group. Taya was so lovely! The food is delicious, the cocktails are fun and my glass of bubbles never went empty. This is my 2nd time doing the high tea - one of the best for the price in the city.

Fantastic experience with Australian native ingredient influenced gin and food. Absolutely delicious! Highlight were the wait staff Olivia and Ella who were brilliant. Highly recommended for an afternoon's drunken grazing!

What a lovely way to spend an afternoon with your best gal pals, drinking gin infused cocktails and sharing a generous savoury and sweet high tea! Pilgrim overlooks the Yarra and is a little tricky to find. Its an outdoor venue with benches and tables, so if you are expecting high tea with white table clothes then you will be disappointed. Pilgrim’s twist on high tea with gin infused cocktails, bottomless Prosecco and tea/coffee is different! The savoury component was homemade lamb sausage rolls with bush tomato sauce, a thin cone filled with lightly whipped feta cheese, a tiny cream cheese bagel with strawberry cured salmon, egg ribbon sandwiches and chicken and mushroom empanadas. The highlight was the flaky, buttery sausage roll and bush tomato sauce! It was delicious! The empanadas was a let down as there was very little chicken filling. Otherwise the savoury offering was very nice. The sweet component of the high tea experience was a little pedestrian with only three sweets: tonic scones served with jam and cream, tempered chocolate bowls with pistachios mousse, and strawberry eclairs filled with cream patisserie. The absolute highlight of this experience was the three gin infused cocktails: 1) Chai tea with Davidson plum ….. oh Lordy, it was voted as our favourite and not enough of it! It is served in a Japanese teapot and cups. This cocktail should be bottled! 2) hibiscus and salted grapefruit…. Also very nice 3) chamomile and lime quite refreshing! Whilst we had a lovely time, I was let down with the service. I’m not sure if they had enough staff on but we arrived on time and it took them 15 minutes to offer a drink and explain the process. We could see a couple of big tables and I think this put their wait staff under pressure. I imagine that during summer it would be a beautiful experience sitting by the Yarra sampling high tea and cocktails!

Recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Gin High Tea at Pilgrim Bar, and will rave about it for a long time to come! Everything about the High Tea was perfection - the food, drinks and location all glorious. In particular though, I wanted to shout out to the staff for their warm and inviting manner. It makes a world of difference to have such personable interactions with staff, especially when you're celebrating a special occasion. Thank you particularly to Dot for her attentive care - we wanted for nothing throughout the whole two hours! Looking forward to coming back soon Pilgrim Team!

Located alongside the historic Federation Wharf vaults ( the kitchen and bathroom are the vaults )and Yarra River right in the heart of Melbourne, Pilgrim is an intimate waterfront venue that proudly engages producer authenticity through its unique range of all Australian wine, beer and spirit lists. I attended Pilgrim for a gin tasting glass, can confirm that the food was delicious with decent sized drinks. The staff where also very accommodating and super friendly and knowledgeable. Will have to come back during the day!

We took advantage of the gin and tapas promotion, and what great value! Full size drinks, not cheap tiny samples, and good serves of food. We totally enjoyed both the selection of food and drinks over the two hours and we were completely satisfied. Great service, thank you Bridie, you are an asset to the amazing team. Might just have to come back to sample this again.

Had an amazing time at the Gin High Tea, looked after by the amazing Poppy. Service was absolutely excellent and the food was to die for! Poppy truly made the experience, such a bubbly and welcoming person, without being overbearing, which is such a skill in hospitality. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Melbourne. Our dietary requirements were no trouble for kitchen, and everything was delicious!

Poppy was such a wonderful and charismatic server. She made us feel so welcome and taken care of. She explained all of the wonderful food and drinks we were having and made the day so fun for us all! We were laughing every time she came to us! What a wonderful trip into Melbourne. The bottomless prosecco was so good

Stunning Sunday out - throughly enjoined the Gin High Tea! We had a big group and were really well looked after by Jack, Dani and Ella! The cocktails were really special thanks to Emma and Serena behind the bar. All of the food was super yum, vegetarian and gluten free also well accounted for! Would definitely recommend for a special occasion or just a weekend treat! So cute and fun x

We went to the Pilgrim to celebrate a birthday and booked for the gin high tea. We were looked after by Olivia who was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our experience. She explained how the high tea would run and also about the ingredients used in the cocktails and food which was much appreciated. Everything was brought out in a timely manner, her service was excellent. The high tea came with a platter of savoury and sweet food and also 3 gin inspired cocktails (all were delicious!) and bottomless sparkling was also included in the 2 hour package. Would highly recommend if you’re into Australian native inspired food and drinks in addition to the beautiful waterside view as a bonus!

Went for a walk along the river and stumbled across Pilgrim, feeling thirsty and peckish we took a seat and we are so glad we did! The service from Imogen and Dani was excellent, from their food and drink recommendations to their friendly demeanour and infectious smiles. Their suggestion of the Reuben toastie with wedges and cous cous salad was devine! And their cocktail recommendations were top class too (strawberry & cream sour and the slow chai). Excellent food, drinks & service, will definitely be back!!

1 star for the food. Sorry but the food is super average in comparison to other amazing food in Melbourne, the food just doesn’t compare to other places. 3-4 stars for the service, Ella and the cute boy were friendly, inviting and attentive, great service, great drinks, great view/location… poor food.

We came for a gin high tea experience and it did not disappoint. The cocktails were absolutely out of this world - each cocktail was better than the last. Our waitress was Dorothy and we were so blown away by the service. She was so kind and professional and gave us lots of information about our food and cocktails. 10/10 service and I would recommend this bar to all my friends and family 😁

The only thing this place has got going for it is the location and view. QR ordering, which is so impersonal. Even when the food and drinks arrived they came without a smile!! Only one young waitress was actually friendly and looked happy ( long dark hair, tied back). Worst wedges we've ever seen. As we were leaving we saw people with food we didn't even see on the QR menu ????

High tea by the river. Cannot fault the location. Highly rate! Personalized and friendly service from Sana and Poppy was just lovely. The food provided on the high tea was delicious, and we added a pork belly bao bun as we hadn’t had brekky. Three cocktails and free flowing SA Prosecco rounded out the offering. The cocktails were zingy and fresh. Beautifully presented.

We came in for the Gin High Tea experience and it was all amazing! They have different vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/dairy free menus which was really nice. This was the first bar I stopped at on my visit to Melbourne and what a way to be greeted! Melbourne was turning it on at just the right time for the tennis and Lunar Festival. I love bars where I don’t have to wait in line and this is one of them. Scan/Order/Beer… so simple, yet misunderstood by larger bars (nearby). The service was super quick, I think I waited two minutes for the second ale. I didn’t eat so I can’t comment on that. Pilgrim is right on the Yarra, right behind federation. This was a great place to sit and people watch. Special mention to the procession of hens parties departing from right out front and the zip liners whizzing right over the bar. But all sorts of people are walking, rowing and running along that Yarra. Honourable mention to the young male waiter who wasn’t serving me, but was particularly attentive to the two attractive nurses from out of town next to me. The conversation ranged from cringey to outright hilarious. Good luck to you son! Look I had a ball, I wish I could say minding my own business, but I wasn’t. All this action, inside 45mins - what an experience. You gotta come here!

It was nice a warm night and after having dinner in another place and a long walk on the Yarra , ended up in this small , nice looking resturant , just to have a drink. Selection was great so we ordered white Sangria and Shiraz. The vino was excelent but the Sangria is the best i ever had. This place is now on our list, one of the favourite, its also has friendly staff and fantastic views of the Yarra. We will definitely have a dinner here as we saw beautiful tapas coming out of the kitchen . Highly recomended !!!

This was my first visit to the rebranded Juniperlooza bar formally known as Pilgram. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the onsite manager. Given the current restrictions, we felt very safe with tables distanced from other guests and lots of sanitiser available at key points. We decided to have the bottomless gin and tapas menu - it’s excellent value with varied selection of drinks and food available. Service is nicely paced, the team do check in on you and ask if you’re ready for the next gin - is so easy to get distracted in conversation or lost in the beautiful view - you know the real focus should be the excellent gin selection. The staff are hugely knowledgeable on food and drinks, giving you a detailed description as items arrive. It’s the service you expect at hatted restaurant. Sadly we didn’t want to leave but because of the current restrictions we had too. We’ve made plans to return again with new friends in tow. Highly recommended.

You can't go wrong with their Bottomless Gin & Tapas. Quality food and quality drinks. Only the nicest Melbourne gin for this package valued at $69! Only critique would be that drinks come out at a slower than expected pace (based on the group) but if you have a discussion with staff they'll cater to your needs. Service provided by Jack and Jerome (at the bar) was fantastic, really listened to the tables' dietary requirements and other concerns. Good venue despite dreary Melbourne weather. Would go again 5/5.

Great location next to Fed Square and overlooking the Yarra River. The food here is surprisingly good. We went for the BOTTOMLESS GIN & TAPAS. A great way to sepnd two hours! The Tapas is very good, just enough to satasfy an average eater. If you are a big eater you may want a bit more, but you can order more. One of the addtions you should add is the Lobster Sliders The Gin and Tonics are very good spread of different gins. There are four different ones included in the package and if you make it through the four you can get another - we barley made it through the four! Staff are friendly and helpful. The outdoor seating is very nice on a nice day. During the colder days it is dry, and they have overhead radiator heaters. For me the heaters were too much, I felt like I was sunburnt by the end of our session. The only only complaint is that the lamb is currently only avaiable on the Bottomless Gin and Tapas, it is so good and I wish I could just order it anytime!

Pilgrim’s the shy secret of the Yarra waterfront. It’s got better food and drinks than Riverland or Arbory (Afloat or otherwise) and yet it’s almost always possible to get a seat and a table there. It’s a hair or two more expensive than Riverland, but probably around parity with Arbory Afloat. Drop in there for a drink and a nibble and watch everything go by.

A bit disappointed with today’s visit. Firstly, the bottomless gin & tapas deal was for a minimum of 4, which wasn’t very clear in the Facebook event details. So then when we stick around for drinks, was kept waiting in the rain to try order drinks, ignored for a good 5 min as staff kept walking past. Usually this wouldn’t bug me, but when you’re getting wet in the rain, it’s not so fun. Quite expensive for the food portions that we got, so we didn’t stick around for long. The drinks were nice though.
