I really like the beer garden here. It's a place for any occasion (but mostly for enjoying a drink). One time there was a jazz quartet playing in the back on a Saturday afternoon - I remember this because it was the first time I had sangria. I think they also do jazz and other shows in one of the front rooms too.

' Reverse Swing ' entertained a diverse crowd with a tasteful mix of jazz standards & originals c/o John Scurry . Pity about the smoking.....

Had a couple of beers out in the back beer garden with a live trio.. Very nice vibe indeed. I'll be back 😊✌

Very chilled bar/pub style feel with massive area outside with heating and tables. Comfy sofas and booths inside for the colder months of Melbourne. Nice selection of beers and drinks at the bar. Friendly staff and a cool selection of music always playing.

My favourite local bar, by a long shot! Marrit always makes me and my guests welcome. The sense of community and personalised service sets this venue in Brunswick from great, into top tier from the moment you walk in. Incredible beer garden in the back, even during the winter months. The staff have always been exemplary and I commend Marrit for keeping the patron experience both consistent and super fun, no matter what the evening of the week, or the occasion.

Great local pub with a nice intimate band room. Sibf havecthere own kitchen, but you can get food delivered from the Mexican next door. Perfect.

I walked over 10km to get there cause someone said they have a piano that can be played. I’m a professional musician, I asked can I pay them money to try the piano, they said no because it’s only for musicians, I said I’m a classical musician, they said they know - but sorry (how could they know?, I think she was lying to me). It broke my heart and ruined my evening. I bought a drink first out of politeness. Never going back there, felt quite unwelcome to share my work, even offering money to play, both to share and hoping to get a free (not paid) gig eventually, I mean how much generosity can you reject from someone who dedicates most of his time to music?, it was also that the staff lied directly to my face, they could have said that it’s for musicians who have a gig but they just said it’s for musicians but not for me, making me feel very insecure because being a musician is a big part of my life. Felt very unwelcome. It’s up to them whether they are inclusive, but after this, I’ve chosen not to return, and because of experiences like this I’m considering no longer to do music because I get rejected too much by people who could be kind but they choose to trample others’ feelings instead. I visited months earlier to leave my card as request regarding gigs but they ignored it, being quite exclusive.

Love this place, always come here when I visit from WA, so relaxed and chilled , the staff are great , can crack a joke with them, Also, there is a lounge set up for people to play music, Good mix of beer , wine and cocktails.

I just simply love this place. Been there a few times but forgot to take photos. Fun bartenders though cocktails could be a tad stronger.

Although my friend and I absolutely loved hanging out in your lounge area, we didn’t absolutely love being interrupted by a waiter who felt the need to say that “everyone in the room can see our sexual tension” and prompting us to “just kiss already”, we got that it was just silly little comments but it went on for about two minutes and it then got to the point where I was hiding behind my own hand in embarrassment because I just wanted it to end. After he left we questioned whether he was drunk or just super friendly and confrontational LOL. Anyways! Just suggesting that next time this waiter just do his job rather than play match maker!!
