Restaurant was very noisy and overcrowded (way more than covid restrictions allow at the minute). We had booked in advance but were sat at a table that was too small for our group. They added chairs to either end of a table for 4 and despite being promised that an extra table would be joined up when someone else left, it never happened. Waitress had to shout at us to tell us the specials and took her mask down under her chin to do so.. defeats the purpose of wearing a mask and splattered spit on us.garlic pizza was shared for the table and was delicious and would 100% order again. unfortunately there was a few issues - one member of our group ordered a cocktail that she didn't like and when she asked the waitress for something else, the lady took her full cocktail away and yet still charged her for it (someone else would have drunk it if they left it). my main of chicken pasta was also delicious but my partner ordered their special of chicken tenders and the most pitiful plate of JUST chicken came out. no sides and no salads and yet was $28 when we went to pay. the whole table remarked that it was the size of a kids meal or entrees and way overpriced. should have sent that meal back and got the parma like someone else on our table ordered- cheaper than the special, tasted way better than the special and came with a salad and chips. sticky date pudding for dessert was nice, mousse was a little dissapointing. wasn't a pleasant experience in the end and unfortunately probably won't return.

PROS: - The food is really good. - The service is friendly. CONS: - The wait time was extraordinarily long - I mean over an hour and 20 mins for food on a relatively quiet Sunday with 3 chefs working is a bit much. The place does well with their bar so perhaps they are dragging it out so more people buy alcohol and drinks while they are waiting. The tables next to us were doing that and their food also took forever so perhaps that's the strategy to make more money. What was really odd is the staff who are all really, really lovely continued to be shocked about us wondering why it's taking so long. Apparently up in Eltham people like to wait nearly 1 1/2 hours for their food at a restaurant. Even on a very busy Saturday night in CBD restaurant is the food coming out quicker than this. I mean the chefs taking a break while people wait for food is really odd. Nice place, nice food but based on the other reviews looks like this is common.

We had previously dined in and everything was fantastic, so we thought we'd give delivery a go. Big mistake. 1hr 20 to receive and garlic bread was missing, which was half of one of our meals. I drove to shop to get garlic bread, waited ten minutes (I get that they were very busy, fine) and drove home to heat up the cold meals only to find as pictured below. Into the bin.

This has to be one of the best restaurants around. We have been here a few times. The food is always amazing, they accommodate your needs and all the staff are so friendly. Dani & Eddie are so lovely. Big shout out to Joe & Ruby - thanks for the excellent customer service! We'll be back!

Apart from having THE most amazing pizzas, their customer service is so much more. Confined at home courtesy of COVID, the gentleman Paul who delivered our pizzas offered if there was anything we needed at all (supermarket/chemist/etc) to contact them and the team from La Zanyas would pick it up and bring it to us, just to help us out. I was deeply touched by the care and thoughtfulness shown to us. Just a side note, my review of their pizzas was not influenced by the compassion shown to us, the pizzas had to be the BEST we have ever eaten, My hubby and I have just moved into the area and can now say with confidence we have found our pizza provider 🤩

I have always lived in and around eltham. But I had never been to this restaurant until 12months ago. Now we regularly visit. Meals are as awesome as the staff. My go to is the garlic cheese pizza and the la zanyas special pizza. I’m saying that, Every one on our table is always happy with there meals

We just had a take away order and was blown away by the customer service and the food. They were so great full for support at these times 🥰 The food was lovely and massive servings. Amazing food, staff, and chocolate mousse. We happened to go on the night of the Eltham festival, so it was also incredibly packed with people and loud.

Nah, had pizzas, won't bother going back as they don't rate. Friendly staff but I can't eat friendly. 2 stars

The pizza with the lot was magnifico. I could not fault it. The toppings, the thin dough, the crust. It was so nice that I'll use the expression that I was sitting in my own puddle of seamen (spelt incorrectly for Google reasons). If I could give this rating a six, I would and that is rare. Usually pizzas I have don't have that wow factor, but this was just Ohhhh, there goes another one!

Food tasty and good sized servings. Staff were attentive and friendly. Glasses were clean and sparkling.

We had a wonderful family experience at LaZanyas. The staff are amazing, the food is incredible and they catered to both gluten and dairy allergies and had an extensive selection of meals. We loved everything from the environment to the service will definitely be back!!

Below average food. I ordered veggies lasagna & my partner ordered Polo pasta. We both felt we are having food from Coles fridge..... We were waiting for almost 40 min till we received our order. Both were really hungry and just wanted to eat... I normally do not complain when I know I wont go back there, happy to pay and just leave. Also I do not feel I should share my bad experience online but when I got back home my upset stomach pushed me to share my experience. This is my personal experience and everyone have different taste but as I really like Italian food and have it at least 2 nights a week, I can tell when is average or below average.

We had a special occasion on Saturday and we arranged some platters from La Zanya's. The food was amazing and they were all so sweet and kind. You won't be disappointed here.

Would like to thank the wonderful staff at LaZanyas for a great meal and service. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful whilst complying with Covid standards. Meal top standard as usual.

Food and service not bad, Lasagne a bit salty

Ordered spaghetti cabornara, expecting a decent carbonara considering its an Italian restaurant. It tasted like the pasta you order from a pub. It was full of cream and I couldn't even eat half of it, it made me feel really sick.

One of my favorite places! The garlic and cheese pizza is to die for!

I’ve been here multiple times now and have never had a bad experience. Everything from their customer service, their acknowledgements of allergies and their food is absolutely amazing and not to fault. Best family restaurant in the area and all the staff are so lovely! Would highly recommend for any occasion.

The staff are so incredibly friendly and caring, the service and environment are second to none, and the food is just cooked to perfection and very generous in size and quality. I wasn’t going to get a chicken Parma as I wanted to be different for a change. I’m so glad I did as it was one of the best I have ever had. Second to none The calamari was also cooked to perfection I must say. The meals are very generous an We were constantly asked if all was ok through our dining experience and if we needed anything else without asking. it was just the best family relaxed comfortable experience. I so highly recommend La ZANYAS to everyone wanting the ultimate, quality dining experience. I had to leave this review as it is a incredible restaurant, can’t wait to do it again soon.
