Really disappointing. An expensive meal ($240) for 2 people when I could have gotten far better quality at a better city restaurant for the price. My eye fillet was ordered medium-well, and came out bloodier than my partners medium-rare scotch fillet. Ordered a $12 side of broccolini which consisted of 4 measly overcooked stalks on a plate. You can get a bunch of broccolini at any supermarket for around $2 so this was a complete rip off and not even an offer of adding more when we queried it. We eat out a lot, and there are hundreds of places for better quality at a similar price. Won’t ever go back.

We started with the yummy complimentary bread and proceeded to entree where I had the prawn skewer with the very flavoursome basting. Of course for main it was a steak there is really no other option, they are renowned for it and with good reason. The 200g eye fillet with creamy garlic sauce and chips, absolutely delicious. The meat is just so succulent and all chains consistently deliver a truly faultless steak

David the new manager was fantastic. We have eaten at 5 different Squires in Melbourne. Each one offering a different experience. This place is new , very vibrant with a good wine list and great bath rooms. Bread, entres were great. My steak was also great , as expected since they are billed as the "Steak Specialists " but my wife's (well done ) was burnt on the sides. David was fantastic on taking our feedback, my wife's meal was complementary, and taking the time to find out what our expectations were of this steak establishment . We will definitely give them another go...

I have tried the steak twice at this place. First time it was not satisfying so we gave it another try a year later. Honestly I think they are overrated. Their steak on sizzling plate was not tender and not favourable. The baked potato as a standard side was just a cooked potato wrapped with tint folio without sauce or ganish. The onion ring is too oily. The overall food quality was really average.

Nice dinner here but won't be rushing back. Staff were quite slow and not very intuitive, served 5 glasses of champagne for a table of 4 and took a long time to take our order. Food was nice, highly recommend the charred vegetables and the eye fillet - lovely! The potatoes seemed excessively large though, none of us ate more than half of it!

Came here before and food was not great, but all the other Squire Lofts were fully booked so thought to come here one more time to see if the food has improved. It has not. If anything, it's even worse. Steak was so tough that my jaw literally hurt by the end of the meal. Also medium was cooked like medium-well. Steaks don't have that nice bitterness that aged steaks should have. On top of that the manager/boss was so rude. Gave us some lecture about our booking, which would have been fine if it was said without an attitude, no byes or thank yous when we left (in front of him). Miles apart from all the other Squires Lofts. If you don't want to continue having a restaurant that is not full on a Saturday night, you should review your food quality and improve on your (the manager/boss) customer service skills. 1 star for the chips and customer service of all the other staff. Will not be returning, ever.

A lovely family dinner venue. We’ve been a few times and usually book the private room at the back but it was booked out. The food was cooked consistently compared to the previous visits. We usually have the ribs but tried the other meat options today (see full photos). The kitchen was a little slow but understandable given it was fully booked out tonight. A special shout out to the lovely Sam who was our waitress - she was super helpful and always smiling despite how busy the place was.

Great service. Nice and roomy. Entree was amazing but little expensive for what it was and nothing was served on the side so all you were eating was cheese. The chips were not seasoned at all but cooked to perfection. The steak was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth, seasoned to perfection. The mushroom sauce was amazing, full of flavour. The mains need to be served with a small salad or veggies. It is on the pricey side but would go back again for a special occasion.

We really loved our night at Squires Loft. We were greeted at the door by our host Brian who looked after us all in a most charming fashion all evening. Water and a fresh from the oven bread arrived straight away and was a perfect starter. We weren't after a big meal and asked if we could split the 500g T-bone between 3 with 2 full racks of ribs. This request was gladly accepted and turned out to be just right for us. Brian recommended that we have the T-bone medium which turned out to be spot on. It was served in the Squires Loft special baste and was soft, moist and very flavoursome. The ribs were falling off the bone and were a delight. We had a few red wines by the glass which were lovely, and we look forward to exploring more of the extensive wine list on our next visit. The wait staff were so professional that we barely noticed them, and yet our water glasses were always full and plates just disappeared without fuss when finished. Thanks Brian and your wonderful staff for a very pleasant, relaxed and enjoyable evening.

We came for a 6 course paired degustation. It was fantastic. The food and wine were excellent and plentiful, and it was good value for money.

Phenomenal food and service. Their blood orange cocktail is so nice, their calamari generous and tender, and their steak so juicy. The serve of chips was generous and delicious. The restaurant was intimate and cosy despite seating so many. And best of all was the service. The staff paid close attention to us, ensuring we had all we need and even serving us wine just before our main meal arrived. Our server Georgia was the loveliest and made our meal so wonderful. Her attentiveness and lovely smile made our night! Thank you to all at Squires Loft, we will be back!

Dropped by without a booking for a quick dinner. What a place! The staff were attentive although busy. Their training shone through and they worked the floor well. Polite and efficient with a touch of class. Well done! The food: sensational steak and to die for ribs. All washed down with a quality Shiraz. Set in iconic Camberwell this place ticks the boxes.

After landing in Melbourne we stumbled across the Squires Loft in Google maps and I'm glad we did. The meat is exceptional and the service is second to none. Brian, who looked after us on the night, went out of his way to draw us a map of the Yarra valley and showed us the best kept secret wineries where he sources his premium wines. His kindness and genuineness was the cherry on top for our night.

Lovely place, great value for the service location and atmosphere. 10/10 would go back when I have more disposable income, or stop giving a ____ about money 😂

The most beautiful restaurant! My husband an I love dining here. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is lovely and the service is impeccable. We would happily come back here weekly, the eye fillet is next level!

Never been to Camberwell location before. Food was great, steak cooked just right, entree were well done and suggested by staff. Good selection of wine and beer options including zero beer. Service was great and Cloe was particularly helpful and delightful.

We always enjoy going to Squires Loft at Camberwell. The staff are always lovely and work really hard. Friendly and always attentive. Steaks are always cooked exactly how you order them, with no judgment if you prefer your steak more than rare. Great local m.

The two stars are for the wonderful tall host with glasses and no hair (sorry!) who was friendly and inviting. The waitress seemed like she didn’t want to be there. No bread after 30 minutes and we had to ask, food came out really slow and our steaks were rare and blue in some areas even though we asked for medium rare. My steak was mostly unrendered fat and gristle and I had to pick a lot off. The host was again lovely, asking us about refills on drinks. The best thing was the baked potato. Very sad about our experience at $90 a head should have been nicer.

Eaten here twice now with friends, since moving to this area. The service is friendly and knowledgeable & the food has been tasty, quick and the serves are man sized. Eaten prawns, calamari, chicken and steak...all have been good, fresh, well cooked. This Squires' Loft is definitely worth a try.

Amazing service, the waiting staff truly make you feel cared for. Steak and sides were all also extremely well crafted and high quality. Pork ribs very filling and definitely enough for two people. Burnt ends was fatty and tangy. Porterhouse steak was very large and very tasty.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. It is a little on the pricey side but you can sit back and relax knowing you are going to be looked after by attentive and friendly staff and whatever you order is going to be cooked just as you like it and absolutely delicious. The ribs, prawn skewers and the porterhouse and chips with mushroom sauce are my personal favourites.

Ordered a medium rare steak and came as blue. Asked for it to be recooked and came back the exact same except a bit warmer. Really unhappy, heard good things about this place. Never coming back again and 100% will not recommend to anybody else.

Expected better. I had salmon. Friends had steaks and a burger. We all agreed it wasn't anything special. Nice venue and service was fine, but quality wasn't as good as other Squire's Loft venues.

Have eaten here 3 times and have had a great feed each time! Staff are super kind and polite, food was served in a timely manner with staff checking up on us. Will be visiting again soon

It had a different menu to SqL 1 Queens Rd melb. Menu was more diverse and had burgers etc. There were 9 of us. Steaks seemed to be more expensive so I had the burger instead. It was very good and better value than the steaks. All meals were good and entrees also. Extensive wine list. Beers were all bottles. No beer taps. Not a big range but most of the common ones. Service started slowly but improved later. Probably just lack of staff in these times. Overall a bit disappointing re steak prices, but maybe that is the way in these times.

This was our first time to Squires Loft Camberwell and we were delighted with the experience. Lay, Jim and John were all fantastic and its was so lovely to be treated so well by the team. The restaurant has a really warm and friendly atmosphere. The food was great as well and we loved everything we ordered. The serving sizes were very good as well (almost a little too much as we couldn't finish everything).

Steak was good but sauce felt like a case of quantity over quality. The blue cheese sauce seemed like it was mainly cream with little flavour. The steak was medium rate, as ordered and didn't need the sauce. My wife got the mushroom sauce, which was pretty good. The service was good and even when it was packed, it wasn't too loud. Nice place and will be back....but will get mushroom sauce instead.

Dined here several occasions. Tried their eye fillets and ribs previously. Thought we’d return to have the eye fillets again as they were very tender, especially with the Danish Blue Cheese sauce, and mushroom sauce. Meat was cooked to perfection.

First time customers, took some old friends who love eating out, they have literally travelled the world 🌎 eating at restaurants. They had a great experience, the staff were very attentive, the food served in good time, it was cooked well, and delicious. We are told there are new owners, took the reins less than a month ago, we will be back!

We booked for dinner on Valentine’s Day. Firstly, the service was appalling. Waited 10 minutes at the front of the restaurant before we were even seated. The service from there got worse. 20 minutes until we were approached to order and then 45 after that for food. The staff were ran off their feet even though there were at least 5 that I counted. Not sure if there needed to be more order or more staff however it was disappointing to see. Getting to the food. I ordered the steak and the steak was tasteless. The mushroom gravy was edible. The Greek salad had no taste and no lettuce. Far too little ingredients for a Greek salad. My wife ordered the chops which tasted as though they were from Woolies. Overall a very poor experience and for the prices I would not recommend your restaurant.
