Food:beautiful steak The meat is tender and well balanced and pork belly entree is good too (but the lamb skewer meat is too dry and i’m order medium rare he give me median well ) Wine:good (but The staff did not know how to introduce wine to the guests. I ordered two glasses of wine, but we finished the appetizer and the wine did not come.) Service: Good attitude and smiling (The waiting time is too long, and the guests are often ignored. Employees lack communication with each other!) Clean:Good Tidy:Good Price:Expensive Interior:Good

Had a great dinner at Meat & Wine Co Hawthorn East. The 800g dry aged steak was the best steak I’ve ever had. The restaurant’s decor is unique and warm. Very impressive 👍

VERY disappointed. Since our last visit they have changed the way the steak is served. (Eye fillet) Now has a glaze which honestly... was not to my taste. ALSO, the periperi steak sauce is no longer on menu. VERY disappointed. Great service but the slight changes on what was our favourite steak house, is no longer.

Amazing food, was extremely full after this feed. Absolutely adored everything on the starter tasting plate, would highly recommend for a group of 4. The wagyu steak was cooked to perfection, super juicy and tender. Can't wait to come back and eat here again!

Great food. Excellent steak. The only let down for me was the wine. For $22 a glass it tasted like the wine was weeks old.

Had been craving steak for a while. Visited this place with my partner and wow! The steak is amazing! We both ordered medium rare. So so juicy and completely satisfied my cravings. Chips were absolutely delicious and the mash was flavoured perfectly. Staff and waiters were extremely respectful and kind and made sure we were served on time and taken care of throughout the whole night. Thank you for making our time here a wonderful experience. Food was mouth watering. Craving it again while I write this review. We will definitely be back very soon!

Started with the Tartare which is one of the best I have eaten!! Amazing! Followed up with 815gms of mouth watering Dry aged Rib Eye and was not disappointed! Paired with the Two Hands Shiraz I could not fault it. Pork ribs were also spectacular and a huge serving! Super friendly staff, nice quiet (and toasty warm) atmosphere out on the deck. Will be a regular from now on!

We ordered a variety of their steaks to try, ranging from New Yorker, Jack Angus to Wagyu. All steaks were cooked to "medium" perfection, and we could differentiate the beef quality. The pork and beef ribs were juicy and tender, not forgetting the entree such as scallops and onion rings were great for starters. The truffle mac n cheese was also the bomb! Staff service are attentive and friendly, good environment for group and family dining.

Good both pork & beef ribs. There’s more bone than meat on the pork ribs😅. A bowl of lemon water is also provided to wash yr fingers The salmon is nicely seared with crispy skin.

We decided to go with the à la cart menu and were very pleased with our selection of dishes. The steak Rib Eye 400g was cooked very nicely and tasted great. The Portuguese chicken skewers has become one of my favourites here. I was rather surprised how nice the truffle Mac and Cheese was as a side dish. Many places struggle with a basic Mac and Cheese but they got it right here. The service was outstanding and the staff very attentive. Terrace area is very well presented and has good heating for those colder nights.

We visited the Hawthorn location last night and we racked up a hefty $600 bill. We ordered the truffle Mac and cheese, broccolini, greens salad, roasted harissa potatoes, Wagyu tartare, the tasting plate and 5 steaks. The entrees were all standard, the tartare didn’t have as much flavour as the Southbank location. The tasting plate was average and the broccolini was just okay. The truffle Mac and cheese and the roasted potatoes needed a bit more flavour but it was alright overall. We had a strawberry smash cocktail and some amaretto sours, these were standard cocktails and were yummy. The Wagyu rump was disappointing, dry and tough, where as the O’Connor New Yorker was more tender and moist. Overall, we had a good time as the atmosphere was good.

We’ve been going to Meat & Wine Co. for years, their service is impeccable and the food quality is fantastic. We have never had a bad meal. They have recently updated the menu with some new dishes that tasted great. Our favourites are the Portuguese Chicken Skewer and the new Scallop Ceviche. Will be back very soon!

Terrible experience. Been to here to have a lunch. The food portion is less than any other venues. And don’t expect any customers’ service here. There are lots of staff working, the restaurant is not busy at that moment. But it is really hard to get the someone to top up the water. The 3 managers were just hiding behind the counter. Overall, South Yarra and Chadstone are much more better if you choose to go.

We dined at Meat and Wine co tonight and knowing we wanted to have dessert elsewhere after chose to head straight to main course. I chose the 200g eye fillet with chips and added mushroom sauce. Even though I loathe mushrooms in their chunky form I always enjoy the mushroom sauce here. I also love the crispy chips. The steak was cooked beautifully and the size leaves the perfect amount of room for dessert!

The steak is cooked to perfection. The mix of flavours in the pumpkin salad was perfectly balanced, sweetness from the pumpkin and candied walnuts contrasts with the tanginess of the feta cheese. Impressive!

been here a few times in the past years. the most recent visit was not what i expected. the portion has decreased significantly. it was yummy but i would appreciate a bigger portion. people come here to eat and ready to spend $$ knowing they will be served good food with the price they pay. just think they should up their portion.

I have to say that my experience was 10/10! I went with my partner and he had the AGED New Yorker O’Connor 400g (Grain Fed 150 days) with crunchy chips and I had the Pork Ribs, both so nice, flavor 10/10! Then we order a mash potatoes and Greek salad that I have to say is one of the best mash potatoes I ever had! All the experience was amazing! Service 10/10 food 10/10 restaurant 10/10 🤍

Fantastic starters, mains and drinks. Lovely steak cooked medium rare to perfection. The chefs even prepared the bruschetta starter without any onion for me. Highly recommended and will definitely be back

The express set lunch was a good deal with entrée, main, dessert and a choice of either wine, beer or soft drink. Service was impeccable and the atmosphere was fantastic. We had the pork ribs, chicken, calamari, rump and creme bulee. No complaints. Everything turned out just the way we expected and more. Would come back!

Amazing steaks! They were cooked to perfection. This is the place to spoil yourself and impress your guests. The quality of steaks offered here is top notch. Service from wait staff was fantastic. I was surprised at how quickly the food came out considering how busy it was. Sauces and side dishes were well seasoned and complimented the steak really well. I will definitely come back for another round!

If you want to know what’s the taste of real beef ribs try this wonderful restaurant. The prices are high, but you will be satisfied with delicious meal. On top of that beautiful customer services make you more happy and comfortable 😊 Thank you ☺️

A return to @themeatandwineco Camberwell Junction. This time seated upstairs, ambient lighting but with spotlights for the food, a huge mirror makes the room appear larger while bundles of string run along a wall adding texture and contrasting with the wooden blinds shielding us from lit up billboards. . 🥩We had the 200g fillet ($39) braised in a bbq sauce unexpectedly, it was delicious, and really didn't need the garlic sauce we added. Perfect with the salad it comes with, fully dressed unlike most, creamy tanginess complemented it well. 🧄🍞Entree was garlic bread - How is fresh/warm bread so beautiful? Soft light pillows of garlic bread with garlic chips and cheese. This garlic bread I'd so amazing I've never tried any other entrees at @themeatandwineco. . 🎶 Questionable choice of pop music including shut up and put a ring on it, I'd go for something that's closer to the price point of the dishes. - But they did play a song from an (allegedly trashy) movie I love. 🤣 . Always a great dinner, very datesworthy and friendly. . 🥩 @themeatandwineco 📍Camberwell 💵 Damage $53 (no drinks/desserts as we were off to the bar next) paid $3 after using our @theforkau points! 😋

Took a friend who’s a country girl at heart & we both had fantastic steaks. The chips were deliciously crispy & there was an excellent green salad with a very good vinaigrette sauce. The steaks were top quality & perfectly cooked. I’ll definitely return. Liked the well spaced tables too so no shouting was required. Top service throughout & good coffee to finish! Totally recommend!

We went for a meal as newlyweds as we recieved some vouchers. Restaurant looks lovely, the staff were great. The food was VERY disappointing for the price. The steak tasted like it was from the supermarket and is served with a horrible sweet basting (thankfully they recooked my steak for me without the basting) the calamari was obviously frozen. This place promotes itself as a top notch steak restaurant and for the price you would expect that - it wasn't.

Had a lovely time, food served fast. They missed giving us the plate for my hubby and the sauce he ordered but it was sorted after i asked the server.

always a really good experience at meat and wine co, across all locations. greeted and attended to by friendly staff all throughout our visit. the multiple dining areas made the restaurant feel quite spacious and welcoming, as well as the open kitchen which we love to see!!!! the kind of place where you don't need entrees - mains do the job, and they do them well! fish, so fresh and paired well so so well with mediterranean style chickpeas and salsa, all the steak/chicken also great quality, and salads quite generous. do. not. skip. the. choc. fondant. it was the best i have ever had and never fails every time. wowza. only -1 stars for a couple of things like extended wait times for food (but this means it was fresh!!) and cold chips. but honestly, always very impressed! thanks meat and wine for a fabulous sunday lunch.

Awesome meats with a spicy South African twist. Kids loved the burgers and the chicken skewer, parents gobbled perfectly cooked steak with yummy relish.

Divine experience. I actually ate the salad that came on the side of my meal which I never do. The steak was a cooked absolutely perfectly, and the bruchetta is so refreshing. Attentive and trained staff, and clean and tidy set up, will definetely return. It's just a little dark upstairs, that's literally the only fault. It is so worth the price.

We came for a family birthday dinner and had a great time. Everyone was happy. The kids loved the cheeseburgers and said the best they have had. The rest of us picked different cuts of meat, which where all cooked to perfection. We had beautiful wine which was suggested by the staff. Service was great. Very patient and friendly. Great job, we will definitely come again.

The toilets here are nice and clean. There are 4 stalls, 2 for each gender, but both within the same bathroom. The stall doors go all the way to the ceiling which is something you rarely see but should be standard. They have electric hand dryers in there, but they did not work. Otherwise, nice and simple toilets that are kept clean! The food is also really nice. Expensive but well prepared. Although it seemed they didn't have half the menu of steaks when we tried to order. They came back twice to say things weren't available. I would have thought a specialty meat restaurant would have more steaks in stock. And more grass fed options, especially for the price.

We went for the set lunch and it was excellent value. Had the steak and calamari rings and apple crumble was delicious for dessert. Definitely will go back to try other dishes.

Meat & Wine Co is one of my favourite restaurants in Melbourne. We ordered something we never tried before, Biltong, a traditional South African air-dried beef, black pepper, matt vinegar, which I did not like it at all. I called the waitress to tell I did not like the strong flavour of the meat and if there would be a chance to swap for something else free of charge. After a few minutes, the waitress come back with the manager, and they agreed for me to choose something else and no charge. This gesture talks about the high customer service standards the restaurant has. I was impressed, I never complained about any dish, but I feel extremely satisfied for the outcome. Highly recommend this restaurant menu, except the air-dried beef, too strong for my palate!
