Brilliant, each night a different thing, check out the drive by notice boards. New owners since December 2021. Food amazing, friendly staff. Coffee Cake, toasties in the afternoon. New owners have improved it a bit. Pretty good place for drinks with friendly staff. If you order food order it at least 30 mins before you think you will want it. They over cook a lot of stuff though.

There is a lot to like about the Golden Vine Hotel at 135 King St Bendigo, that is because there is a lot going on. Depending on the night, you will find trivia, live bands, pub choir and more. We popped in for a meal; I had the Lemon Pepper Calamari with wonderful crispy chips and tartar sauce. The meal really hit the spot. We found the staff happy, friendly and welcoming. What more could you ask for?

We are a couple from Melbourne, and were there a week ago, (18/2/22), for an early dinner and to see the brilliant Quarry Hillbillies. Had a great Wagyu Burger, and Jenny loved her Warm Beef Salad. All the while, the service, enthusiasm and atmosphere was one of relaxed enjoyment and great music. Would happily return!

Wonderful little hotel that seems to have a variety of musical nights. Good meals & Great staff. The only negative was steps to the ladies restroom, which of course is difficult for disabled customers. There may be another room for disabled so I will have to go back and check it out further. Definitely worth a visit if only to check out their cocktails they develop on sites. The barman was working on a new one while we were there.

I went there to have a $10 lunch today but sadly the prices have had to be increased to $13. The fish and chips and salad did not disappoint and it was both delicious and filling. The staff are friendly and attentive and the meal was prepared exactly as I asked. A pleasant surprise was the live music. Altogether it was a thoroughly enjoyable meal. I only hope that few people read this so it doesn't get too crowded.

Great place, great staff, great vibe, great music - as a new resident it's hard to know where to go often relying on recommendation. Big props to the Golden vine Hotel for showing us a great night out. My Melbourne friends loved it after our event was cancelled. The best Jam Donut shot you will ever have!

Ok wow, driving through stopped for a cheeky drink and a band called Diminished Reason was playing live - (local Ballarat band) and they blew the lid off!! I'll definitely catch them again next time... The drink was pretty good too haha 🙌🙌

First time to the Vine but we felt like regulars. All the staff were friendly and great to talk to. Rachael behind the bar was fantastic and made sure we were looked after at the bar... she was good for a chat as well! The steak was cooked to order and the food in general was awesome. Good mix of young and older people who were there for a good time. The local band was bangin' out some hits as well. Will be back!

We had an excellent night. The food was tremendous, totally as expected and catered for our requests. Highly recommend the food at the venue.

Went to Bendigo on a holiday stumbled upon this place in the hotel guide book and it didn't disappoint service was above and beyond (shout out to our awesome waiter Finn). Food was delicious and taste especially liked how they had a separate GF menu for me to look at. Loved the inclusive toilets they had there. Also happy hour cocktails were awesome definitely worth the price Definitely would come here again when in the neighborhood.

Had dinner here and stayed for the band. Meals were pub grub. The steak in the steak sandwich was definitely dead.

Certainly a unique and eclectic mix of characters at this locals pub. Live music Friday and Saturday nights and something in the calendar pretty much every other day they’re open. Crowd skews older which isn’t surprising given drinks are expensive, even at happy hour prices. Service is excellent.

What a great place for a Tuesday night, food was good, beer was better. The music was great. Surprised how many people chose this pub for their night out

Went 2 the Comedy Show on 26th October. Show was fantastic. Food excellent. Friendly service with a smile. Definitely will return. Well done guys/girls!

A great place to rock with the Hillbilly and then Pigs. Great night in a fabulous atmosphere. Love Goat people. We ate before we arrived so didn't have any food. Those guys serving were great as they reasonably quick in a packed bar!

Food is reasonable, with large servings and good prices. The venue is a little dated but has a relaxed atmosphere and supports local live music.

We enjoyed everything about Golden Vine Hotel, Food was excellent, delicous, served quickly and hot, Bar Staff friendly, helpful,didn't have to wait. Wait staff, friendly, well mannered, and super fast, Johnny Cash Concert was a Smashing Hit for us enjoyed every moment of our first night at the Golden Vine Hotel we will certainly be back and bringing friends

Enjoyed the night. Only upset was they put our table in the bar area, right by the door. It was freezing every time someone came in. Being a busy pub, that was a lot of times.

Had lunch there today and were welcomed with a smile. The staff were all lovely and very efficient. The meal was delicious and hot and great value for money. Looking forward to our next visit! :-)

The meals were great! Only down fall was your bar person or waiter Finn, he’s very over the top! He needs to let people eat and enjoy the environment instead off grabbing our plates first then asking if we were finished, trying to offer Take-Away containers while we are in the middle of eating making us feel like we needed to hurry up but also made us want to hurry up because he was just too much. There’s being nice and then being over board.

I wish this was my local. Visiting Bendigo and needed a quick bite on the way home from a long day. Meal finished, we stayed on for the music and had a great night. The idea of trying to have a quiet family meal with a live band on does not really appeal to me, but the blend of high quality (and very reasonably priced) pub food and a great acoustic guitarist turned out to be very enjoyable. Food varied from excellent to good. Steak (9/10, for the price. Tasty porterhouse and well cooked, nice chips & fresh salad. Kids Spag bol, 8/10, beef burger 7.5 /10). Friendly staff and the crowd was great too. Some of them pitched in with the music if a duet was required (this was not Karaoke but musicians who happened to be there). You would need to check what sort of entertainment was on (kids on comedy night might not be a thing) but I would happily recommend the Vine.

The golden vine hotel is one of those places where the people who have been involved with this program are the same thing as they do you know anyone from a time to go through a lot to learn about how you wear it to your message confirming that it had been sent to your place and I would have been happy to answer your questions about your transport options for the entire trip. The food is great and the food is great and the food is delicious and the food is delicious and the food is delicious and the bandit are very delicious for all your friends. However, the music was not the intended audience to have the ability and the other way in that you have to do the job right to be a while ago but not really a good 😕 👍 😀

What a hidden little gem. Had dinner on a Tuesday night and it was full. Great music playing. Darts were going off. Meals were fairly priced. Steak night was a hit. Staff were amazing and the service matched. Definitely a place to go back to.

Good food & great price for lunch, with a couple of vegetarian options. Service was fast. Not too crowded. Was a nice place to catch up for weekday lunch with friends.

The ambience is nice, the food I had was horrendous how do you stuff up fish chips and salad, every mouthful tasted like oil, no amount of salt could even improve it. And as for the wailing woman in the front bar, I was considering taking up a collection to get her to stop attempting to sing and go home. After 2 hours I'd had enough and left.

Very crowded - although it was a special night, they have a lot. Had to crawl over seat to get out. Food was plenty and quite good. Mixed grill: well cooked and flavoursome, although as with all thin cut steak everywhere, way over done: literally no more than sear each side and it is tender, any more and it is boot leather.
