A great restaurant that we and the kids loved. A very friendly owner, attentive staff and of course, great food. We will definitely be returning and we recommend it to others.

We had my dads 70th celebrations at Haveli and I cannot recommend them enough. The most amazing service I have experienced at a restaurant! Vijay was so friendly and accommodating to our needs. All the guests commented on how good the food was and we are a picky bunch 😆

Always appreciate when we are given complementary pappadams.

We had a good experience dining in at this restaurant. The service was outstanding and we all liked our orders. I thought the Dahl curry was a bit too salty for my liking, but that could be due to the fact that I ordered it without dairy. Also, the food was a bit too spicy for the children, so make sure to mention it if you don't like chilli. Will definitely come back and I'm curious to find out if they have more vegan options.

I have visited this place for the first time with my wife for dinner, and we enjoyed our dinner, price was reasonable, food was tasty and the service was really very good. Its at the heart of Nunawading next to KFC and near by bus and train station. I will surely visit this place again with my friends and family.

I’ve been here many times for their delicious Butter chicken, the best one I’ve ever had . Staff was friendly so glad there’s a nice Indian restaurant near my house!

Good: delicious, very good use of spices. Alot vegetarian choices which is rare. Bad: poor oil quality hence felt 5 hours bloating after. 3rd world filthy toilet, toilet rims and seat was covered by feaces.

This was our first visit to Haveli Heritage India Restaurant and despite living in New Zealand, I don’t think it will be our last as we have relatives living locally to it. It’s not often a restaurant lives up to the hype, but this one definitely did. We started with Onion Bhaji (be advised one serving is definitely ample for 4 people) and a serving (again 4 ample portions) and one of us enjoyed a delicious Mulligatawny soup. The mains we ordered soon arrived. I opted for Lamb Bhuna Gosht, which was simply melt in the mouth tender. The others in our group ordered Prawn Malai, Lamb Rogan Josh and Buttered Chicken. Three of the four of us cleared our plates and we took the remainder of the Lamb Rogan Josh with us and that was demolished for lunch the next day. The dishes were served with a beautifully light Saffron Rice. I could extol the virtues of the food all day long as I consider my self a bit of a connoisseur of Indian food, but this was the best I’d had in . . . well, longer than I care to remember actually. The staff were welcoming, friendly, attentive and were more than happy to explain and accommodate individual ‘requirements’ concerning strength of the spices of each dish. I just wished we’d left enough room for dessert. All in all a fantastic evening out with family and a great ambience within the restaurant to boot.

Great food, I have been let down many times before from many other Indian restaurants. However, Haveli is on a clean streak of at least 10 now. 100% would recommend

Always friendly and excellent food choices with a good wine selection on offer. For entree we ordered Pakoras, Kashmiri Tikka and Tandoori Salmon - a unique and very tasty menu item. I ordered beef Vindaloo and it was a tasty and generous serve.

Absolutely abysmal service and a total waste of time. Ordered through Doordash and was given the runaround. Firstly the original driver had to leave the restaurant due to the restaurant taking too long with the order. By the time the second driver arrived they still hadn't started on the order and ended up, after us waiting an hour, simply cancelling the order with no semblance of communication or reasoning. I would hope the in restaurant experience is better because they clearly treat delivery customers with unbridled contempt. Not happy at all.

Food is good , service personnel needs improvement - the food portion is not enough, the desert is shocking. The taste of food was good - chairs are not comfortable, too many dishes for food servings was Brought to the table and a d was not cleared. Needs more of smiles.

Lady at the front counter doesn’t know how to speak with customers or delivery guys. Today i went to pick up an order from uber eats. She was being rude to me. When I entered in the restaurant. I was going to the counter. She aggressively said from behind “ excuse me, wait at the front counter, don’t go there“. Totally unprofessional and poor staff. Won’t pickup any order from this restaurant ever again ! 👎👎

Naan and mango lassi are very good. The rest (lamb spinach curry, tandoori Kashmiri chicken and lamb biryani) are pretty average. A bit too salty and lack of the punchy flavour I expect from Indian cuisine. We spent ~110 for two adults. For this price I would expect better quality food.

Loved the food. We were late, but still, they welcomed and offered.

Our visit to this restaurant tonight was quite disappointing, even though we've been here several times before. The service was remarkably slow, and the lamb dish took an eternity to reach our table. What's worse, the lamb seekh kebabs we ordered were undercooked, and when we returned them, they were simply reheated instead of being freshly prepared. The lack of courtesy from the chef was disappointing. We received just 3 and a half pieces of kebab. To make matters worse, all our main courses, including the naans, were served cold, with the only exception being the Tawa Chicken, which was served hot. On top of all these issues, the restaurant displayed a sign indicating price increases, but their menu still showed the old prices. This led to a feeling that they were charging whatever prices they deemed fit. This inconsistency in pricing is unacceptable and erodes trust between the restaurant and its customers. I urge the restaurant to promptly update its menus with the new prices to maintain transparency and trust with its loyal customers. Thanks

Amazing!!! I have food allergies and called prior to ordering for delivery - the lady was extremely helpful and informative in working out some yummy options for me (which are usually quite limited). The food arrived and was honestly the best butter chicken, rogan josh and naan I’ve ever had. 10/10 would recommend - so good!

Today i go for pickup my order. I asked for my food and they said it will take some time, so I randomly sit on one tabel. But one person come to me and told me to wait at the front door counter. Literally i am paying for the food not asked for free or anything. Worst experience, never again. I know the difference between dirty and clean table.

The food is very tasty. Tandoori chicken and lazzat kofta were simply amazing. The garlic naan was also very soft and not chewy at all. The meat is halal. Ample seating arrangement is available. Parking car can be an issue here. Overall this place is highly recommended.

Been interstate for over a year. First place we headed when we got back. A scrumptious dinner. Butter Chicken, Tandoori Lamb chops, tikka paneer, Aloo gobi..... Yumo. A delight to see Rosie and Vijay and the family still there to greet us. Well done for surviving the post covid staff shortages. Grabbed some extra Daal, Butter Chicken and Bhuna Gosht takeaway, froze it, popped in my suitcase, flew it home and served it for dinner.

Amazing restaurant. Food is always consistent and delicious. Nice calm atmosphere and easy to get to. Beef vindaloo and veg tandoori platter are our favourites.

Staff was so rude and arrogant. Food was fine but I feel so uneasy sitting over there. Whenever the girl or owner coming we felt uneasy. They need to change the tone while talking to clients. I would not prefer anyone to go there. Please staff little smile in your face will make a big difference.

Very kind and helpful staff. Food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. We tried this restaurant on a week day and it was reasonably busy. I recommend this restaurant to those which love spicy food.

We went for a family dinner last night (Saturday) and really enjoyed our meal. Even though the restaurant was nearly full we were attended well, food was amazing and came out on time. Definitely be back :)

Been coming here on a regular basis for the last couple months after trying around other Indian cuisine restaurants in the area. However, Rosie & Vijay have always been a delight to see and their food is always great to have. Will be coming here in the future.

Rosie and VJ are amazing hosts. Exquisite food. The most authentic Indian food with beautiful depth of flavour. Worth travelling for. These owners were the owners of Haveli Indian at Tunstall Square years ago. We love the food, service and price. Thank you!

Mulligatewny soup was Maggi masala concentrated. Tandoori chicken and biryani were good but portion was too less. We ordered prawn masala where prawns were rubbery and tasted raw so we returned it and they cared to remove it off our bill. Service was good but no value for money.
