Wasn’t very impressed with dinner but perhaps the experience was somewhat soured by getting into an expensive car accident on the way home. The restaurant was packed though so maybe the cheese stands alone. I personally didn’t find that I got value from the all you can eat at the price point because the sushi has to be ordered on mixed platters and I didn’t actually like all of what was on the platter but it has to be eaten to avoid a wastage fee. Similarly you cannot order stand alone sashimi. If you are particular about what you want to eat a la carte is a better option

no matter how plastered I am, they always treat me like a queen. Absolute beautiful people that give the best welcome and amazing food, to help with all craving form hang over food to munchies and to just feeling gooooood! 10/10

It was a really good experience, the food was great, service was quick and amazing, portion sizes are good.We had the all you can eat for 2 people and a jug of drink for $92.only little criticism was the sushi roll were very dry. Definitely going back there soon.

Okami is hands down, no contest, the greatest when it comes to all you can eat along with exceptional service. If you are looking for the best, consistently good food to feed the whole crew this is it, look no further! I want to give them 6 stars out of 5 however the current rating system will not allow me to do it and they surely deserve it, thank you so much for a fantastic experience once again!

Was disappointed in the quality of the food. A few of our dishes were missing and given to wrong table as I heard they didn't order it and I turned to see it was our sashimi sushi platter. The accompanying dashi soup that came with the agedashi tofu was basically water...no flavor so weak! Even with tempura...it was shocking. Takoyaki was too soft undercooked. The quality of mostly everything was low. I only enjoyed the sashimi and kakiage. The desert was in a takeaway container ice cream and the taiyaki was cold :( I know it's all you can eat but I've been to other okami and service and food quality was much better there. Please try your food and taste your dashi stock.

Wanting to know how my rating was changed from 1 star to 5 stars. Posted this 1 star rating 3 months ago. Oct 23. We've been coming here for years.... since the day they opened. We attended again and to say the very least we were extremely disappointed. 5 of us waiting ages for a little bit of food. Watching all the other tables around us that where seated after us getting all these dishes that we had already ordered being served to them. We had to ask numerous times for the same food. We were told we have been given everything we ordered. We order it again and got told of we don't eat everything we will be charged extra for leaving food. What a joke. One of the dishes we ordered and what we got......for 5 adults. We won't be back.

I have been here before the service was very good and so was the food. This visit was terrible! We had 13 people in our group 11 adults and 2 children. We were seated downstairs where we felt we were in a box, literally no view and the seating was so closed and crammed together. So we did our order the food came come in a trickle so I asked our waiter we needed to order more food before I could order he said to me do you know of our food waste policy. You were so damn lucky my grandchildren were present because how dare you tell me such nonsense when you haven’t even gave us our food? And then this lady server was giving us all the food we didn’t order because my daughter kept telling our waiter that we never ordered what food we are getting. So to sum this up this restaurant in Greensborough is a no go and not at all recommended. Please avoid if you are taking a big group. I hope the Owner see this. To rude waiter that served us, you definitely need more training. What a waste of my over 400 plus drinks, never again Oakami Greensborough. Unless there will be changes your not a good place to visit.😡 on this note we finished all our food too.

Didn't make miso happy. Got the $70 banquet that is kind of like their buffet. Honestly I thought it was quite underwhelming. Was disappointed in how many plastic containers were involved, firstly for the environment, secondly all the crispy stuff was soft and slightly wet when we got home. Also did not include any dessert, for the same price, the buffet is much better value.

Excellent food, all you can eat, rarely do you get food this good at an all you can eat restaurant.

All you can eat experience is satisfying if you have empty stomach . The food serving was quick, quality is ok, it is recommended to try their beef Carpaccio. I had many dishes of beef Carpaccio during my visit =)

Food was much better than expected. Took a while to get the attention of the staff at times but once the orders were placed the food came out quickly. Not somewhere you would visit for the ambience as it's loud and usually packed, but for less than $40 each it is exceptional value for money.

Wa-ad restaurant has many seats. Come eat in an all you can eat style. Price is 39 dollars per person. There are many menus to choose from. But I like meat dishes more. There is parking behind the store.

Yummy food at all you can eat price, without compromising on food quality. You get a 2-hour sitting when you book on weekends. It gets so busy. So, it can be a bit noisy but understandably so.

When Okami was less popular than it is now, I would have easily given a 5 star rating for every visit. Had Dinner here last Sunday and what a disappointment! The Beef Carpaccio was more fat than beef, the eggplant was mush, no charred bits like it used to have, there was no salmon for the sashimi, the sashimi/sushi platter was very tired looking and definitely not freshly made, the beef teriyaki was tough and chewy and the list goes on. Thanks Okami, it's been great, but it's time to move on.

Great food.. fast service... Amazing!

Not sure how to rate this one as my issue is due to pricing. Had a lovely dinner here with my son and the bill come to $111. The person putting the charge through held only the back of the Eftpos to me and I didn’t ask for the receipt. When I got home and checked bank statement, I was charged $122. Lesson learned to never tap the back of the EFTPOS. Okay, a surreptitious tip but I would prefer to make it on my own volition. Beware.

The all you can eat is great value. The food is enjoyable, though not the best Japanese I've had in Melbourne. The staff were very friendly & attentive.

From the easy booking to the good food every part of this dining experience was amazing. The staff were polite and welcoming, and the food was served hot and delicious. Me and my partner must of caused the business to lose money on the amount of food we ended up having. Definitely worth the price.

We popped in for dinner last night. The staff are lovely and friendly. The drinks were cold and crisp. The spring rolls were delicious. It was all downhill after that. We ordered off the all you can eat menu. The 6 other dishes we ordered were tasteless, dry and cooked in (what tasted like) old oil. A waste of of $100.

The staff are really friendly and polite, even though it seems to be nonstop in the restaurant. The meal (I got the Deluxe Set) was very good, great variety and well prepared and presented, especially given it was a takeaway which I'm sure is a little more challenging to present. This is the second time I've got takeaway from Okami and I'll definitely be going back there again when I'm down that way. Highly recommend

Went there yesterday with a co worker before finishing my business trip in Melbourne. Super friendly staff, food is superior compare to similar type of restaurant in Adelaide. However, I am still disappointed by not given tuna nigiri on both plates of nigiri/sashimi platter even its available! While the Aussies next table get them! Otherwise I would give five star review.

Went there to pick up an uber eats delivery order. One of the staff member kept on saying 2-3 minutes wait whenever i asked him that how long will it take. They made me wait 15 min and then another staff member came and said that i have to wait more 15-20 min. If you guys are busy then let the driver know straight away so that he can cancel the order rather than lie to him and waste his time for nothing. got paid nothing for waiting 15 min because of their staff.

Always have a good time here. With a large group ordering a lot of dishes at once, they are quick and efficient in getting your orders out to you. Food quality is good, not the best, but for all you can eat it is satisfying.

I was in the middle of my meal when I ordered some vegetables. The waiter interrupted me saying "don't you think you have enough food" "there's plenty on the table". After a few word exchanges had to assured him that I wasn't full yet and I that I want the vegetables. He left the table annoyed, warning me that if there were leftovers exceeding 200 grams I will be charged extra. Very unpleasant experience.

It's hard to go past all you can eat Japanese, great food and quick service, excellent for the family.

Food was okay. Good vegetarian options. Meals came out very quickly but the service was inconsistent. Drinks order taken separately for different people at different times. Mainly probably because the place was completely packed on a Friday night and we were shoulder to shoulder. Generally a chaotic, noisy, average experience this time. May return on a quieter night and a smaller group.

Such bang for buck! Delicious food and some items on the menu can be made vegetarian on request. My partner adores the Miso Steak and I really enjoyed the spring rolls and Yakisoba Definitely go on an empty stomach and with friends, you can't go wrong It was extremely busy, so make sure to book ahead and be okay with a loud environment

We popped in for dinner tonight. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Very disappointed with the taste and quality of the food. Gyoza was salty, chicken karaage under seasoned/bland. Siumay tasted like frozen ones you buy from supermarket. Waste of $100 for 2 people plus they charge 1.5% surcharge when paying by card. I don't recommend this place and will never go back again. Fukutontei Ramen Plenty Valley is better value for money and food is good and consistent.

Chicken teriyaki was undercooked, vegie dumplies were mushie, udon noodles were bland and beef was poor quality. Miss soup was too watered down and only luke warm. Tea was cold. Food was not good quality and cooking was rushed. Will not be returning. Very disappointing!

I feel like over the years the quality of this place has gone down. Overall the food is fine and the fact that it is all you can eat makes it a great place to go with a group as anyone can then order whatever they like with no pressure. However, the quality of the food is ordinary. The food doesn't taste bad but it also isn't great. The one dish that I actually think is pretty good though is the beef tataki. I personally think you are better off going to a normal Japanese restaurant to order the specific dishes you want at a higher quality.

Super fast service and delicious food even though they were fully booked.

Restaurant has limited appeal in character and ambience, people are packed in, uncomfortably close in my opinion. Like a canteen on a navy ship. But the food is very good, lots of menu choices and quick service. No rapport at all with staff...it's not their thing. You only go there for the food...not the overall experience. It is what it is...it doesn't pretend to be anything else.

The definition of you get what you pay for. The menu used to be much broader and of a much higher standard however now it's pretty much just fried options with very little fresh food to choose from. Obviously this is how they can sustain such a business model but coupled with the chaotic table service and the loud, disurptive atmosphere (especially if your unfortunate enough to be seated in the back room) , I wouldn't recommend this to anyone I care for.

Once seated it took 5 mins to be served. Have been to other Okami restaurants and their plates of food seemed more substantial than here. Some dishes of food were only just warm. That aside the food was tasty and our waitress friendly.

Amazing Japanese all you can eat! My fiancee and I have dined at this restaurant twice in the past two months and everything there is just amazing! I really love the Beef Capaccio and the prawns! The waiters and waitresses are so attentive and they kept coming back to our table asking if we wanted to order more! The food is very fresh! I highly recommend this place for an all you can eat Japanese experience!

Okami has a clerk named Alisa in Greensborough. When I asked her if she could reserve a seat, her answer was that I didn't understand what you were talking about. You have an accent in English. I don't know if this constitutes racial discrimination, I only know that Okami's service is extremely disappointing.

Brilliant way to spend Christmas dinner

This is my first time here and I can say overall is very satisfying. It has quite an extensive menu for all you can eat and the price is reasonable. The staffs are very attentive and food is quick to serve after an order. It gets pretty pack and you need to book a table.

Nice selection of food...its an interesting twist to "all you can eat". Entrees and mains decent proportions strategically for 2 people so as not to waste food. Every dish was tastey, except the satay chicken...not a fan of the texture. Would go again.

Busy place, great food, but Really Really noisy. Went there last night and restaurant was very busy, and so loud. Staff were friendly except one waitress who must of been having a bad night. She decided to overcharge us for one extra person. Only noticed this on the way home, so had to drive back. After a bit of yelling in Japenese a refund was given. Would give Okami another try, but maybe try at a different location if you want a quiet night out.

One of the best Japanese restaurants I've been too. The service is outstanding, they are fast and very kind. The food is amazing, you just want to keep eating even though you're full. Definitely recommend!

My family and I will be back. The service was fantastic. The food was amazing and never ending. Not your typical buffet. You order from the menu and it's delivered to your table. Worth every cent. My Mum loved it and she hasn't liked it in the past. Order the Black Sesame icecream for dessert!

Best Japanese restaurant in town! All you can eat menu has a good variety that you can try out. Staff is really friendly and the service is quick. Make sure to book before going if you planning for a weekend dinner. Don't forget to try the ice creams at the end of your meal.

The restaurant was full and noisy. The service was average with poor communication. The food was bland and tasteless, seemingly franchised, processed food! We won't be going back, not good value for money!
