Went here after seeing some good reviews in Facebook group. So glad that I chose this place after whole day on the road. Portion was good as you can see on the photos. Laksa were really nice and delicious, maybe just need a bit more chicken. Had iced teh tarik and 3 layers milk tea as well. Service was great, the staffs were really nice. Definitely will come back when we are in the area. Want to try the other foods on the menu. Looks good when I saw them on the other tables.

A bright and spacious Malaysian restaurant. Friendly staff, quick service. It offers a variety of meal options, from roti to rice to noodles. It also has a good selection of drinks and ice cream.

We got there at around 2pm and while being seated we were told by the waitress to order in 10mins and the cafe will be closing at 2.30pm. Well we didn’t appreciate the abrupt and impertinent way she said it as after that we saw a few customers coming in and ordering their food as well. The Nasi lemak curry chicken was spot on the spices were well balanced and the rice was so flavourful. Cha kway teow had wok hei, bits of lard and pieces of egg throughout. Lobak was meaty with great ratio of meat and fat although would have prefer it slide horizontally instead of diagonally for sharing purposes. Ps: cafe closed at 3pm

Such a cosy, warm local eatery that really hit all our cosy food cravings. Situated in the row of shops on Blackburn road in Doncaster East, two circles cafe offers delicious food and warm service. Highly recommend the Beef Rendang and the curry laksa. The roti was also a great time with the curry sauce that’s just full of flavour. Don’t forget to ask for Sambal sauce!

Great food here! The salted egg yolk chicken ribs are so full of flavour and tastes exactly like you think it should. The hokkien Mee is good but could do with a little less sauce or having the sauce thicker. The Wat Tan Hor is one of the best around. I'm looking forward to trying it with the crispy mee. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommended!

Blackburn road shops have had a history of very good Malaysian restaurants. Two Circles cafe has a lot to live up to, but definitely offers honest Malaysian fare. I felt the Laksa broth was not quite there and would have preferred the rockling slices to be battered and fried so that they didn't disintegrate in the hot broth, but that's just my personal preference. Still very happy that Blackburn road shops is coming back to life!

This was one of our absolute favourite restaurants in Melbourne, with exceptional Malaysian food as good as you can get anywhere. But we were quite disappointed today when we went. The menu seems to have changed recently, and the quality and generosity of the food has suffered, sadly. Our favourite dishes, for example the laksa and the prawn wontons, were either much smaller than usual or well below the usual exceptional standard. We understand that costs are going up, and that takes a toll on businesses. But the casualty shouldn't be the quality of food because this will hurt businesses even more. Hopefully we can see a return to the old Two Circles sooner than later. We love this place very much and hope to continue to support it.

Been here several times and the food is always consistently tasty and feels home made! I love how you can get Malaysian food and a coffee in the one spot. Brillant! Hot Tea Tarik is perfect brew, coffee could be stronger. Customer service here is fantastic! The venue is warm yet casual. Thank you and see you again soon to try more of the menu.

served with warm water in a chill day, feel pretty good 👍. nice dishes and friendly staff, recommended. 8/10/22 Still good food and taste, however the Malaysian fried rice and the prawn cake are a bit salty for me. Maybe that's the way it is, just a personal opinion.

Really good experience, lovely food and they were already super busy at 5:30pm. All meals were really good and fresh and good flavours. They accommodated a kids kway teow with no veg without issues. The roti with curry sauce was awesome. I love laksa (still mourning the loss of Penang Coffee House) and this was a really decent one but seemed to be lacking a bit of salt, a minor quibble though. We will definitely be back.

Nice Malaysian spot in Doncaster East. Majority of dishes are delicious. My favourite is laksa. I also like their mix of coffee and milk tea. It’s probably not for everyone but something unique.

March 2023 Second visit here. To try their weekend special - Assam Laksa. Overall is good. However personally I would prefer it to have stronger taste of Assam. Also would be better if it’s served hotter (in terms of temperature) though I understand that the broth might be precooked and heat up upon order. Beef Wat Tan Hor is delicious! Nov 2022 Delicious Prawn Noodles and Fish Head Bee Hoon. Will be back to try other dishes.

char kuay teow : to appease the ‘wok breath’ (wok hei) devotees it should be a little more charred- however that aside it was seasoned perfectly, just a touch spicey, dark soy, meat and some vegetables. the noodles were moist, tender and not too greasy. The Wat Dan Hor (rice noodles with egg gravy) is definitely worth a try- it was well seasoned- try it out and make up your own mind. service was friendly. prices reasonable.

Delightful malaysiam cuisine find in Doncaster. We had the currypuff and lobak interspersed with our main - wat tan hor (with crispy yee mee). The lobak had the authentic flavour (although nothing still beats the one I grew up with at SS2 Chow Yang) but still pretty good. I have a thing for spiral curry puffs. Again it is good, my #3. Suitable for those who enjoys their filling a little more wet than normal. The best thing is that it is fried fresh to order so prepare for piping hot giddiness once you tuck in. Our fav by far is the wat tan hor. We'll try it with the kway teow next!

Really delicious Malaysian food! We usually get the Hokien Mee, Chicken rice, fish head noodle soup and Wat Dan Hor with ice teh tarik. So far we haven’t been disappointed. The Hokien Mee and Wat Dan Hor are our favorite. The Hokien mee has strong flavor from the rich thick sauce and pork lards and the wat dan hor with Ying yong is just really delicious, got wok hei too! Staff are friendly and place is usually busy so make sure to book or come early!

First time there, ordered the Char Kway Teow and Ice Teh Tarik Customer service is excellent, the food was prepared quick enough. Noodles were as ordered spicy, there was char on the prawn and a bit on fish cake but it could have used a little on the noodles just needed a little bit more wok Hei. Overall the meal was tasty and filling. Teh Tarik was very nice also, would definitely return and try some other items on the menu

Lovely service from the wait staff, and the food was fresh and delicious! The Beef Rendang was one of the best I've ever had, and the Nasi Goreng with satay sticks was tasty and substantial. We also got some prawn wontons which were crunchy and tasty. Will definitely be going back to try more of the substantial Malaysian cuisine on the menu!

Highly recommend the Wat Tan hor! It’s a good place for weekend dinner (without any sub charge) I prefer a sweet coconut rice, this is not really my type. The curry puff is witty to try.

We made a phone order for takeaway tonight. The order included a Hainanese Chicken Rice and Nasi Goreng with Chicken Satay Skewers. The chicken rice was fine but the Nasi Goreng doesn’t have the skewers and fried egg, only the rice. When we called, they said the meal would never come with skewers and fried egg anymore as they have changed it recently. While the website still had this dish and with a misleading description. What’s more interesting is the person who picked up the phone call, didn’t even know what was she talking about. No apologies, no resolution. Poor English communication. We are a long-term customer. It’s a pity I have to leave a one star review. It’s not their first time. We didn’t make a complain about the over-cooked fried wanton last time as we thought we would give another chance. Edit - just had the Nasi Gorang. Rice was soggy. Absolute joke. While I have looked at other reviews made by the customers, the restaurant doesn’t seem to admit their fault or mistake they made. Never again.

Curry Laksa soup broth is thick and creamy. I personally think the mint leaf doesn't taste good with the curry. It would be even better to add on some vegetables in the Curry Laksa.

When it came to the food, the starter were really nice. I really enjoyed the roti and curry. The drinks were also really nice. 4/5 for those. What dragged the my rating down was the mains. Was it terrible? No absolutely not. Was it as good as the rest of the meal, definitely not. Price was pretty decent. I think for the lot, it was like 90 bucks which is pretty decent.

Restaurant is clean and have the western-asian fusion vibe, but they sell malaysian food. The fried yinyiong is very good with a decent portion. If cooked with fresh prawn with a little calamari, it will be even more tasty. The nasi lemak with rendang meat was very authentic. Beef was tender and loved the curry taste.

Had a prawn noodles for lunch. The spicy prawn broth is delicious, but the combination with chicken meat was off in my opinion. I expected the theme was prawn only or at least combined with other seafood. I’ll come back but will try other dish.

An amazing malaysian restaurant, service was friendly and accommodating to us. The food quality and serving sizes were fantastic and most importantly delicious. We recommend this local spot to anyone!

Very authentic Malaysian cuisine with reasonable price. Though it’s not a big cafe but can cater big table when you have family gathering. Kids friendly too and love the curry laksa and Roti!

A deservedly popular Malaysian restaurant in the suburb I specifically came for the Assam Laksa, which is only available on the weekend. Assam Laksa is rice-noodle in a fish broth that is full of balanced, explosive flavours - sweet, tangy, spicy (chilli), fragrant - topped with various herbs and vegetables. The broth is usually made from a firm fish like mackerel and tons of spices (e.g. galangal, roasted belachan, lemon grass, tamarind (assam) paste, chilli, torch ginger flowers). The version here has most of the traditional toppings - mint leaves, pineapple chunks, sliced cucumbers, sliced red onions and fermented prawn paste. The broth is a little too spicy (chilli) and not enough tartness, and the noodles, a little too soft for me. The wat tan hor is really good - charred flat rice noodles swimming is a rich, silky, eggy gravy.
