What drew us to Guneet's was the crowd there. We had moved to Melton and were desperately looking for a restaurant to buy food from, since we were still unpacking. We chose Guneet's because we could see an influx of people going in and coming out. We bought naan, paneer tikka masala and dhaal curry. We have tried their butter chicken masala, choley batturey, chicken tikka and chicken curry too. The food is light, full of flavour and oozing quality. It is obvious that they use the best of the best products to cook their food. The staff are very helpful and courteous. They ask us about our spice levels/etc, before suggesting food. If you would like to taste authentic North Indian food, then Guneet's is a great restaurant. The ambience is quite soothing and the folios on the wall very different from most Punjabi restaurants. Guneet's is 'an experience' and not just about food.

Most welcoming High St restaurant in Melton! Halal & tasty (pls note, alcohol is served on they premises for other diners). Waitress Esther hosted our night & indeed made the dining experience worth the visit. The decor is beautiful to sit and admire (perfect setting). Busy night with attentive staff across all tables. Recommending 💯, chef & kitchen staff did not disappoint with presentation, taste & portion! 👌🏽

As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted by the aroma of spices from the kitchen. We had an impromptu dinner for 2 after a long day's interstate travel. We were seated and served quickly, dinner was delicious. I'm not one to give out rave reviews often, but this place has earned its rating. It gets my recommendation for selection, flavour, music, portion size, and great staff.

What a restaurant!!! Lovely staff, awesome tasting food. The music had us singing and bopping, the food was perfectly spiced and the price...cheaper than expected for the amount of leftovers. The tropical mocktail was delicious. You MUST try the Afgani Chicken 😋😋😋

Really impressed by our meal here tonight, they had a sign up saying they were under staffed but still provided great service and our order didn’t take long. We tried 2 vegetarian curries which were exceptional so we will absolutely be back to try more of the menu. I think this is easily the best local restaurant we have tried in Melton, keep it up!

Fast and friendly service and great quality food. Absolutely delicious! Restaurant provides a warm atmosphere for dining in. Ordered a banquet for two and couldn’t finish it all! We’ll be back again and will be recommending a meal at Guneets to family and friends!

We were craving for authentic vegetarian Punjabi food near northern suburbs. Found Guneet’s place on google. We tried vegetarian Soya Chaap Punjabi curry with Tandoori rooti and vegetarian Punjabi biryani. The food was fresh, served hot 🔥 and was delicious 😋. It took nearly 20 mins to serve the food. Not badly on a Friday evening! Tandoori roti could have been better. Size of roti is small compared to other places. Curry 🍛 serving portions were good 1 curry serves 2). Punjabi Biryani which was technically a vegie pulav was served with raita. Overall good food. Vegies were in a range of $15 to $18. Post covid these rates are hard to find. There is ample car parking in front of the restaurant. Ambiance is good and tidy. Friendly staff and quick service. Place is kids friendly. Toilets are clean (rare for an Indian restaurant). I’d visit this place frequently.

Initially concerned over my partner's chilli allergy, we were assured that there was a dish she could eat — and, oh goodness, we were glad we stayed. One of the best meals we've had, neither of us could remember eating better in any other Indian Restaurant in our lifetimes. We'll definitely be back, just a shame we couldn't manage to take any of the kitchen or wait-staff home with us — such a team, such fantastic service and food.

Excellent Indian cuisine, highly recommend. Variety of dishes, l could of tried more but full from trying all the different naan breads. Staffe were excellent exceptional service and great recommendations off the menu, as it was our first time we weren't sure what to try! We went all in a bit of everything, foe the big boys their favourite dish was Afghani chicken and the lamb was a hit, so tender! So much left over, plenty for lunch tomorrow great value reasonably priced. Will Definitely be back

I’m EXTREMELY fussy with my Indian restaurants/food. As soon as I walked in, I felt a warm positive atmosphere. From their exceptionally helpful and friendly staff, the cleanliness of this restaurant speaks for itself with the top quality food which they serve up. Definitely the best Indian restaurant I’ve been to which ticks all the boxes so far in Melbourne. Very generously priced aswell. A true benchmark for not just the food, but the restaurant - which surely needs to be followed by other restaurants. Well done to the whole team here, Keep it up.

The best Indian Restaurant in the town . Had a great experience with staff, fresh food , and the environment. We specially go over there every second weekend from Melbourne for quality food and atmosphere and to spend some family time, staff is so kind, professional, and dedicated towards what they doing especially the owner kamal bhaji is the best. I highly recommend this place for dine in and take away. ❤️❤️❤️

Upon our second experience here, we found the place to be well managed and well priced. Although they were extremely busy, Santi, waitress/entre chef as well as the rest of the staff went out of their ways to compensate for overwhelmingly busy restaurant. Food quality and service was as great as our previous experience. There is a good variety of dishes and beers as well as wines at sensible prices which you can always take home if you don't finish for the seconds ;). We will definitely go back again soon.

I havent had Indian takeaway since I moved to melton 3 years ago after a bad experience at another restaurant. Finally decided to give this place a try after seeing their reviews online. I ordered the Punjabi butter chicken, rogan josh , saffron rice and garlic naan. Everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Will definitely be ordering from here again, I think ive finally found my go to Indian takeaway in melton

Celebrated our kids Birthday here with friends and family. The food is tasty and to hearts content. The table service was organized and good. Kudos to the team. Kamal, the owner chef was understandable of dietary requirements and helped catering accordingly. We have been there many times and tried a lot many items, the dishes are appetizing and suits children as well. Thank you Kamal and team for making the event a lot enjoyable!

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. Food is pretty good, I've personally tried several dishes and I've never tried this good Indian food in Melbourne for their prices it’s 100% worth it. The vibe of the restaurant is warm and friendly, with music complimenting it's perfectly cooked food and hotness of food rating is extraordinary. We were asked on scale of 1 to 10 how spicy / hot you want your food and we went for 10.. it was the best choice . We end up eating more than expected and. Trust me, it didn't feel heavy at all on stomach after eating. So they are using best ingredients, it seems. Next time I am in Melbourne, I am definitely going their again.

Best Indian by a country mile. Couldn't recommend Guneet's highly enough. Butter Chicken is a must. Lamb cutlets in Onion Gravy is awesome. I love their Saffron Rice, it's perfect for both these dishes.

I normally take my my family to South Indian restaurants. But Guneet's restaurant blown me away. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Staff took our order with no hassle, and they didn't screw up like most of the places do these days. The food is unbelievable and out of this world. Got our meals very quick and the portions are huge. Chef Kamal make some great food and I will definitely come back and recommend every to try this place.

This is my first review ever but felt so compelled by this meal and experience. The restaurant has a modern but authentic touch to it. Excellent india cuisine, great variety and everything well done. As we ordered butter chicken, korma, malai kofta, paneer lababdar thats all a stand out.we eat it all up with some yummy garlic and butter naan. Moreover, bhalla chaat papdi, aloo tikki, and mango lassi was also palatable.The staff are great and easily approachable, we did have to wait a little long for our main course but good food is worth the wait.
