I came here twice, and each time it was a similar experience. The place is not as big as you'd think, and they don't have a lot of animals, but the ones they have are either rescues or animals only found in Victoria. The highlights of the place are the kangaroos, wallabies, and koalas, as there are plenty of them. Kangaroos are very friendly and come close to people, so you will get the chance to feed them, so buy the food when you book. One is more than enough for two people. The koalas are very cute, and depending on the time of day, you might find them sleeping or walking around. There are plenty of birds walking around the park and swimming. They will follow you for food! The sanctuary holds talks and shows at specific times. The cafe inside sells great burgers and fries! It's a great place for families with kids. Wear boots in winter as the place gets muddy. Get your tickets online. It can take between 1 and 2 hours to complete the experience.

Very beautiful zoo tucked into the more rural side of Melbourne. Highlight was a picture and petting the koala Cyclops. But also seeing the kangaroos and wallabies jump and roam freely was nice. Other than the two highlights the zoo was quite boring. And expensive for what you get. I understand the money goes to conserving these precious species but the zoo was just really small and not much to get lost and do. They should do more with the nature they offer. Like eucalyptus tree tour, plantings, product making sessions or something. And maybe create more spaces where the visitors can feel at the center of the animals they are visiting in a peaceful way. Just some suggestions to improve but it was nice overall.

Moonlit Sanctuary is now our go to place when we have overseas visitors. There are great animals to see and the staff are so knowledgeable. We heard so much about the Tasmanian devil and kangaroo just from incidental chars with staff. Everyone loves the koala and wallabies here and feeding them is so much fun. We found later in the day was great for the wallabies after they had a rest. My daughter and our visitors were captivated by this experience.

We had a superb time at Moonlit Sanctuary. We visited on a Monday at opening time and it was perfect. No lines, limited crowds, happy & hungry animals tucking into their breakfast, engaging keeper talks every 30mins and the highlights of handfeeding the wallabies and the show arena were fantastic! The grounds are not as expansive as other zoos and farms but there is enough there for a memorable 2-3 hours. Tip: Pack snacks and/or a lunch box and grab a bench along the water or food available at the cafe to enjoy on the deck. Chips were yum!

It is a relatively small sanctuary area. It is superior to other zoos in terms of the friendliness of the kangaroos and wallabies. Be sure to buy kangaroo food! Here is a great place for small children to experience feeding the animals. The staff is very friendly. And, after the park closed, we waited for a cab for a long time, and one of the staff took us to the Frankston station. I will never forget his kindness.

This is the perfect place for tourist to interact with the amazing Koalas and feed Kangaroos as well. I also liked that animals are quite free here, doesn’t feel like a zoo where they are closed in the cage. There is a small lake in the middle and so many birds.

One of my favourite places to visit in VIC. We have come here multiple times before, but yesterday was a special highlight as it was our first private night tour. I always enjoy going to Moonlit Sanctuary but with many of the animals being nocturnal, it is a different experience starting a tour around dusk. For instance, it was my first time seeing a Tasmanian Devil run around (being excited about receiving his food soon) instead of sleeping in its burrow during the day. By the same token, it was fantastic to see the Koalas more active than they normally are during the day and of course my personal highlight of any visit is always the chance to get up close and feed the wallabies and kangaroos. But it was also my first time really getting close to Feathertailed Gliders , which are super cute and unbelievably soft. Finally, I’d like to thank our guide Claudia, who was fantastic. She provided a lot of insights on the Sanctuary and the different animals and allowed us ample time to view and/or get close to the wildlife. Overall, I can definitely and wholeheartedly recommend a visit to Moonlit Sanctuary be it during the day or at night, but if you’ve got the chance, go for one of their night tours.

Loved it so much was a really great day. The cafe way wonderful. The keepers are very informative and professional. Everyone was lovely except maybe the first young girl in the cafe who was far to quick to be gruff with my severely autistic son who was over excited having just met his favourite animal, but all that aside I wish I could give more stars 🌟

Amazing experience! All the wonderful animals are active and super friendly. Very much a close and personal experience with both the animals as well as the guides. Our guide was equally engaging throughout. Great passion and knowledge. Definitely something everyone should do. It's NIGHT and day difference. Thank you!!

Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park is an amazing place to visit. The park offers a unique opportunity to observe and learn about some of Australia’s most fascinating wildlife. The park staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and they provide a wealth of information about the animals and the conservation efforts taking place. The park is very well-maintained, and the animal enclosures are spacious and comfortable. The park also offers a wide variety of educational programs, from interactive talks to guided tours. I highly recommend visiting Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park for a great day out in nature.

A beautiful sanctuary and such a wonderful experience for people of all ages! So special to be able to learn about our delightful Australian native wildlife in such an up close & personal way. Highly recommend the night tour to everyone! Then come back and enjoy it during the day too! We have been coming for years, and will continue to come and bring as many friends & family to enjoy it with us as we can. Keep up the great work Moonlit Sanctuary!

Loved this very much! We were two adults experiencing this but it was a very popular place for parents and children. Absolutely loved the whole experience. It is fairly small and easy to navigate. The animals are clearly loved and well taken care of.

Dec 30th, 2023 Adult Entry ticket $29 /pp If you love animals, you must come and visit! I recommend to visit in the early morning, so you won’t be lining up or crowded with other people. You can also pay extra charge and organize your close touch activities with specific animals. Dingo are my favorite ❤️ I learned lots of interesting facts about dingo and koala during the event ~ I visited during the holiday high peak season, which some kangaroos and wallabies were already having too much food. 🥺 I feed rest of the food to the ducks 🦆

The evening tour is fantastic. The sanctuary is otherwise closed at night so you will be there with only a very small group and taken on a guided tour. In addition to the free roaming roos, you are also taken into some smaller enclosures up close to gliders and potaroos.

If you want to explore the Australian fauna, cuddle with the koalas, feed the kangaroos and wallabies and pet them, see some native birds and some animal shows, Moonlit sanctuary is the place to go. You get to see all the animals in their natural habitat, fearless and friendly!

From the moment we walked in, it was evident that this is a very special place! Every team member we came across at Moonlit Sanctuary had a lovely smile and a willingness to engage in great conversation about all they have to share. It is very clear that all creatures great and small are cared for at the highest level. All their coats were as shiny as can be and they all seamed to have a lovely sense of calm. Well done to all that make this such a magical place. We will definitely be back again :)

Great place for a day out, especially recommend checking out the 11am show which showcases a lot of the animals very up close! We bought the food for the kangaroos and wallabies and it was well worth it as we were able to use all of it to feed them and get really up close. I would definitely buy tickets online so you don't need to wait in line and are easily able to get in quickly.

Loved it! Amazing place with wombats, tassie devils, kangaroo and joeys, wallabies, koalas, dingos, emus and a laughing kookaburra! Beautiful natural-like surroundings and was able to feed the animals! The park wasn't huge and made for a quick visit. Great, rewarding visit for us travelers from Canada hoping for an Aussie experience!

Moonlit Sanctuary is a beautiful place to have an intimate experience with Australia's native animals. Being able to hand feed and pet the kangaroos and wallabies is fantastic! The facilities are excellent and very clean. The staff ans keepers friendly and informative. The prices for entry are very reasonable as are the animal encounters. The food is quite expensive but you are able to bring your own food, there is a BBQ to use and an under cover with many picnic tables. We love visiting this Sanctuary ❤️

Great little place to take kids, worth getting the yearly pass if you live nearby. All kinds of Australian animals & they have encounters at different times of the day. Nice casual vibe & not crazy busy. Heaps of kangaroos & wallabies to feed.

Brilliant day spent here. It was an awesome experience to get close to animals and feeding the kangaroos. The sanctuary had animals native to Australia and has regular keeper talks on all its wildlife. The koala encounter was brief, yet a truly worthwhile thing to do as not many places offer the chance to get so close to them. Highly recommend if you happen to be in Victoria. Friendly and knowledgable staff as well.

Exceeded our expectations and we had a wonderful day. Get there in the morning for a quieter experience. Loved the wombat talk, will attend other talks next time we visit. The scenery is lovely and natural, the animals look happy and each one has a genuine reason for being at the sanctuary rather than zoo animals that could otherwise be in the wild. There is a huge variety and we saw everything except the echidna which was hiding. Everywhere is clean and tidy and easily accessible with a pram. Fun to feed the ducks and wallabies. Nice cafe area, good parking and clean toilets. We stayed about 3.5 hours which was enough including eating lunch. We will be back thanks a lot

Went here with my wife and 4yo daughter and we were all pleasantly surprised at how good the experience was. Not the biggest sanctuary ever but that's not a problem because there is plenty to see. Enjoyed seeing the Koalas and also the free roaming kangaroos and wallabys, which you can feed. All seemed friendly and since we went early they were in the mood for eating. I feel the later you go they might not be so hungry. There is also a show which was small but great because you were up close to the animals. The barking owl was great flying around. The lake is also very nice to walk around whilst also feeding the ducks. Loved that the place wasn't crowded as it's quite open. Car parking isn't paved so if there's rain you might get as little muddy, but there are plenty of spots. Recommend coming if you can and going to lunch around the area since there are lots of food options.

I had a great day at the sanctuary today! It's a haven for animal lovers with a variety of species to admire. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the facility is clean and tidy throughout. You can also feed the wallabies and kangaroos and can buy tickets to greet and take pictures with some animals, including the koalas.

Went there with my wife, 15 year old nephew and 15 month old granddaughter. There were no booking fees when you don't book online. Ample parking on arrival. You can buy food for kangaroos and wallabies, but we chose not to. Be aware that if you want to attend presentations you will need to pay an additional $25 each. I didn't realise this but we opted out of this offer. It's a smallish venue with a range of indigenous wildlife. Pleasant walk and places to have picnics. A cafe next to the souvenier shop. It's very child friendly. The kangaroos, wallabies and ducks look forward to being fed. Other creatures are confined to enclosures.

A mid sized conservation park with activities suitable for animal lovers of all ages. Reached at around 11am and the older children rushed to the reptiles enclosure before continuing with the python encounter at 1130. This was an interesting experience as the children were quite scared initially. Moved on to the Koala session where a paid session allows one to take photos with the Koala up close. Our session was with cyclops who was very cooperative and friendly. Also spotted here was a very active Koala who was pacing up and down its enclosure. The keepers were very knowledgeable and the children listened to each of them with great interest. The highlight was the feeding and petting of the kangaroos. It was fun seeing the larger kangaroos hopping over and how they interacted with one another. Point to note: Lots of king geese, water hen and ducks roaming around in addition to wallabies and kangaroos.

Been here twice now and the staff are just so lovely and friendly. The kids loved the kangaroos, definitely best to go in the morning and the kangaroos and wallabies come jumping straight up to you! It's very quiet here today, a cold Friday morning so we just about have the whole place to ourselves! Will keep coming here lots! Love it! Highly recommend!!

Moonlit tour was wonderful. Animals definitely more active. A very unique experience. We would've loved if you had an "expert" tour as such or something more advanced as we already knew alot of the information however still thoroughly enjoyed it. The behind the scenes personal encounter for up to 5 people was a great experience. Close up experiences with Martini the Olive python, feeding Bailey the Yellow Bellied glider and Pip the tawny frog mouth was eye opening. Highly recommended. However keep in mind that the experiences fee are on top of the entrance fee.

This shot to the top of the list for family friendly adventure days. Great atmosphere, enclosures were well kept and heaps of visibility. Huge park to roam around so you did really feel like you were on top of others. The owls were beautiful and my little ones favourite was the lizard (aka baby dinosaur)

Will pick this every time over a traditional zoo. Stunning native Australian nature and native wildlife on show, lots of different native flora and fauna. Accessible with wheelchair friendly path (they can be wet/muddy due to weather) and toilets that are updated and clean. Staff are very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. Cafe has a decent range of food and drinks, very limited vegan options though. A must come and see if you're a nature/animal lover, easily spend 2+ hours.

My family and I both went in the day and also took part in the night tour. We got to “roam” free during the day visit, and it was relaxed and fun. The kangaroos and wallabies were free-ranging and there were many wild birds too. Feeding the kangaroos and wallabies is highly recommended. During the night tour, Sam was really nice and gave us in depth introductions into each kind of animal. The nocturnal animals were also more active and we got to go behind the scenes. We were also able to feed a few more animals. Overall, it was a really fun experience. We got to meet many exotic native animals in natural enclosures, including Tasmanian devil and koalas. I strongly recommend this place.

This place is fantastic! Although small it is well worth a visit. It's interactive being able to feed the kangaroos & ducks, the animals are spaced out but not too far to walk. The keepers put on amazing talks which are informative but also very entertaining. Great coffee shop that overlooks the pond & all the staff so friendly. It's family friendly & very reasonably priced, well worth a visit 👍

This sanctuary offers a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with some of Australia's most iconic animals in a natural and immersive setting. The highlight of the experience has to be the kangaroo feeding, where visitors can interact with these gentle creatures and learn more about their behavior and habitat. But the excitement doesn't stop there! Moonlit Sanctuary also provides the rare chance to snap a photo with a cuddly koala, creating memories that will last a lifetime. This hands-on approach to wildlife education allows visitors to develop a deeper appreciation for Australia's rich biodiversity while having a blast in the process. With additional attractions and activities like informative keeper talks, bird shows, and encounters with other native species, there's never a dull moment at Moonlit Sanctuary. Whether you're a wildlife enthusiast or simply looking for a fun and educational day out, this sanctuary offers something for everyone to enjoy.

Decent sized sanctuary with lots of animals to visit. Very good value for money compared to other similar sized more expensive sanctuaries around Australia. Kangaroos have rest areas where they can go if they don't feel social which is quite nice. There's free talks and paid encounters you can do there as well!

Amazing experience going on the night tour. Our guide Sarah was extremely knowledgeable and knew all the animal names by heart; one can easily see that the animals are all really well taken care of. Lovely staff, very informative programs and the animals, especially the ones roaming free, were beautiful! Can't wait to see it at night as well! Editing after the night tour: it was AMAZING. Words cannot describe how amazing it was. The sky was clean and beautiful and the animals, especially those we didn't see during the day tour, were very nice as well. Our tour guide (I'm sorry I forgot her name!!) was incredible, you could notice how genuinely happy and interested she was on doing the tour. She was funny, had very nice information to tell and showed us a lot of nice stuff. Definitely recommend buying the night tour as it gives you access to the day tour as well. Truly a magical experience for all animal lovers (and if the sky was as good as it was when I went, any astronomy lovers would delight themselves as well). Thanks so much for the reception and for the memories I'll ever carry with me!

Looooved it! We took our 1 & 2 year old, they had so much fun feeding the kangaroos and wallabies (maybe not quite as much fun as I had!). We spent a few hours here admiring Aussies native animals, and it was very reasonably priced in my opinion. We went in June 2020, so numbers were limited for training shows so we missed out (thanks covid) but never mind, we'll catch them next time!

It's a nice sanctuary within metropolitan Melbourne to see Kangaroos and get upclose to them. Was happy to see that the animals are having planty of space to rome around freely as I would not like enjoying looking at caged animals.

Cute sanctuary with limited selection of wildlife to see, but nonetheless very enjoyable. The koala encounter is worth doing, you will be astonished by how soft they are. Get yourself a container of animal feed at the ticket booth so that you can interact with the cute animals inside. The kangaroos and wallabies roam freely around the sanctuary which provides the visitors plenty of opportunity to get up and close with them. Only downside are the non-complying visitors who goes behind barriers and congregate in one spot which ruins the experience for everyone else.

I love this place! Some may sook about it being only native animals, but that's the whole point - it's a really novel place because it is primarily about conservation and education, rather than animal exploitation. The staff are great, genuine care for the animals is clear in their eyes. The extra experiences seem good too, although we only had time to do the close-up with the koala...but we'll be back.

This is a wonderful place. The staff was very nice and helpful. We were impressed with how many of the animals were free to roam around. Great place for little ones, a bit boring for the older kids. Not much to see or do. It needs a playground area so you can stay their longer. My 1yr old loves feeding the kangaroos, great local place.

  • 3/5 Laurence F. 3 years ago on Google
Not as large as I thought it would be. Probably best to get there early when it is a little quieter and the roos and Wallabies haven't been fed as much by all the visitors. Good selection of things to see and nothing similar in the area.

Always love going to Moonlit Sanctuary, great way to see native Aussie animals. Took my young one to his first exposure to Aussie animals & birds here and he really enjoyed it. Animals are kept in good condition and it’s great to see kangaroos and wallaby’s so close to you. If you are around the Mornington peninsula then definitely visit this place and yes their entry fee is less than other zoos around.

A brilliant place full of beautiful animals. You can visit in the day or night- when the animals are more active. Back in January this year, I visited in the day but it would be brilliant if we had time on our holiday to do a night visit too. I believe this is the only sanctuary to offer night time access. The regular demonstrations and talks about the animals throughout the day were great too. The staff clearly knew their stuff and you could see how much they care for the animals. You could pay for experiences too such as holding a snake (which I did) and I think you could kayo cuddle a koala and there may have been a show you could watch but I can't remember. Highly recommended!

Night Tour - Have been during the day a few weeks ago so thought we'd try the night tour (2 adults and 2 older teens). I was a bit dubious about how this would be any different and was the extra cost justified. I couldn't have been more wrong. The night tour is both an exceptional experience and value for money. You are in a small group of up to 12 people and everyone is given animal food. The guide gives you a very informative tour across all sections of the park and you get to enter some restricted areas to get up close and personal with some of the animals. Most of the animals are much more active during dusk and evening, and the wallabies and kangaroos will seek you out for food. The tour took almost 2hrs. Moonlit Sanctuary is on the 'must visit' list , for all our friends!

  • 5/5 Tarnya C. 3 years ago on Google
This was amazing!!! We went early and got to feed lots of wallabies and kangaroos. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Everything is clearly marked and easy to find. It's also a really good size for kids or people with chronic illnesses, large enough to be satisfying but not exhausting. The cafe is cute with a wide variety of merchandise available.

Where do I begin? An incredible experience for my partner and I yesterday - the entire day was perfect, the staff are so friendly and welcoming, the animals are so well taken care of - you can feel the love from a mile away. We were fortunate enough to book some encounters ahead of time, and the knowledgeable team made it a great experience. This is an absolute MUST, we walked away from this experience with some really great memories and we were so quick to recommend it to our families and friends. If you want to support a wonderful team and wonderful conservation work - VISIT ASAP! If however, you would like to have a laugh - please look at the reviews of anything below 5 star - it's incredibly disappointing to see that such a wonderful attraction has received poor reviews from insane, ENTITLED and CRUEL people who are clearly selfish, bored, psychotic or just plain rude. Keep doing you Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Park - we can't wait to be back! 10 STARS!

  • 5/5 Megan B. 3 years ago on Google
Absolutely magical experience every time! A beautiful peaceful native garden with many animals roaming around ready for a special encounter. My three year old son got such a thrill hand feeding the wallabies. Special mention to the young woman with long dark hair in the cafe (didn't catch her name!)) Made my hot soy coffee and offered to make it again if it wasn't hot enough then came back to check if I was happy. Brilliant service!

I really liked it, I'm a nature lover. What I have read about the dingo, since they are good to maintain a healthy ecosystems they should be protected by letting them live in their natural habitat. Aboriginal people understand nature more than anyone on this land, their race has been here for 60000 or more years. The are very spiritual people and they want us to understand that we are together in this. We need them more than anything on this land to be able to control the bush fire. With the dingoes help of course 💞 Nature lover and spiritually guided 🙏🙏 God will help us 🙌

Had a great time at the Sanctuary, it wasn't as busy and the animals are extremely cute and friendly and the volunteers are great with the animals and are very helpful to the people. The koala encounter was the highlight of our day but I would suggest that it should be specified exactly how much time each person gets regardless of the number of group members, cause $25 for one minute of encounter doesn't seems fair. It should be little more than that. Otherwise it was a great experience.

We absolutely love it here. We’re members and love the benefit of being able to teach our daughter about Australian animals and make her familiar with them. The staff are always extremely nice and helpful. The whole place is well maintained and animals look very well looked after. We haven’t tried the cafe yet and would love some more activities for the kiddos but that would just be an extra perk, it’s great already as it is!

  • 5/5 Darrell m. 3 years ago on Google
I enjoyed seeing the animals here and especially enjoyed seeing a koala actually move across the floor rather than just being asleep in a tree. The wallabies and kangaroos are very friendly and come running towards you when they see you. The staff at this place were very friendly and accomodating to us.

  • 4/5 Shaun S. 3 years ago on Google
Interactive animal experiences are worth considering. Kids love feeding the wallabies. Food is similar quality and price of the MCG. (One of the reasons of 4 stars) I liked how close you could get to the animals, however the trade off is that the animals enclosures are not as generous in size as one would like to see.

  • 5/5 liu j. 3 years ago on Google
We went for night tour. It is different experience. In the morning looks like everything in the cage. In the night tour, we were allowed to go into two cages which the animals are very gentle. The guide is very interesting. She told us wombat likes chasing her. :) I like the interesting animal story she shared. Much fun than those knowledge I can find on google

What an amazing place. Went with 16yr old daughter last Sunday, and we had the best day. Started feeding the roos/wallabys etc which there were plenty! walking around some animals were still snoozing as it was early. We did the Dingo walk - and the lady who was the trainer really really knew her dingos -- extremely knowledgeable and professional, while making it enjoyable. It almost went too quick - the animals were extremely well behaved. Went had something to eat, not the cheapedst place on earth, but was good. Then off to do the Koalas which was again run by a lady who knew her stuff. Just wandering around seeing the various animals was great, but weather turned wet... Very happy to recommend and will back again with few more friends this time might do the night tour...sounds amazing!!!! Bruce n Bek

We really enjoyed Moonlit, however after booking an encounter for 12.30 when we arrived were told that its based on a 1st come 1st served basis and that our encounter would now be at 1.15. We arrived at the koala enclosure at 1.10 to a huge queue and proceeded to wait in line for about 45mins to have our turn, which ended up being no more than 2mins for 2 tickets... not great value for $50!! This was very disappointing and i left feeling pretty ripped off.

We did the night tour with Sam, it was incredible! The animals were friendly and very food motivated, our tour guide was passionate about the animals and care they receive, plus he was an absolute wealth of knowledge. My family and I have just returned from the night time tour. Despite being cold and a bit of drizzle, the overall tour experience was great. We had a large group of about 20 we were split up into two groups and were given a small container of food for the animals and a lantern to light up the path. The tour guide was great. She interacted very well with the children and adults and answered all the questions una very friendly manner. The animals were very friendly and the kids loved feeding the kangaroos, Sugar gliders (my personal favourite) wallabies, possums etc. Overall it was a fantastic experience and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

I just loved it. Seeing the koalas so close, they are the cutest creatures ever. You can feed the kangaroos and wallabies. They have two Tasmania devils called Tim and Tam, which are part of a program to help them reproduce because they are endangered species. I believe that this type of sanctuaries do a great job in teaching people about local wildlife.

Great place to visit to see Australian wildlife in a calm and peaceful setting with some animals roaming free. Nice to see the conversation aspect being taught in the keeper talks. Really enjoyed it and the cafe had reasonable prices too so no need for a packed lunch. The kangaroo like to check out the cafe too sometimes! Great little place. Next time would do one of the special individual tours with the wombats or dingos.

We went on the night tour Tuesday night, we had a new guide that was very knowledgeable with the support of her experienced colleague. Our group was 3 couples. It was very important to follow instructions as the park is shared with wild animals that love to be included in the tour. It took approx 1.5hrs Our favourite was the Barking Owl and feeding the kangaroos, wallabies and sugar gliders - all very gentle. You could hear that they truely cared about the conserving a safe and friendly habitat for their animals. Really enjoyed it! Thank you

Great place and experience to see Australia animals closer to you. They have koalas, dingos, kangaroos, cockatoos, snakes, eagles etc. Plenty of options you can top up if you want so extra closer to the animal such as Koala petting for AUD 25 per person. Suitable for kids and family.

This was my second visit at Moonlit sanctuary and it did not disappoint. Last night I went with a group of friends for the night tour. Callum was the best tour guide. His knowledge of the animals was quite impressive and answered all of our questions. The experience of getting up close with the animals to give them dinner is like no other. I will definitely be taking the family next time.

Not worth a visit hence do not recommend. Entry fee is kinda expensive for so little animals. Snacks for kangaroos cost $3. For $29 entrance fee, there are very little animals to see. Didn’t see much kangaroos and wallabies as all of them are sleeping around 2pm. All my kangaroo snack went to the birds.

  • 4/5 Anisa A. 7 months ago on Google
Not that big of a place, but perfect if you want to experience feeding and interacting with kangaroos. Lots of them roam free and you don't need to pay anything extra for the experience, just a few dollars for their food. The koalas were surprisingly active when I went and it was cute to observe them eating. It does get muddy after it rains so best not to wear particularly nice shoes when the weather's gloomy.

Loved watching the cute animals. Though it would be nice if some people behaved less demanding around wallabies and kangaroos - the food that one can buy at the entrance isn't always in high demand by already well fed animals, so some people just push behind the barriers and try to force the animals to eat so that they can get a photo of themselves or their kids - very sad to watch. That aside, it was lovely to meet a koala, Cyclops, who was happily munching on some eucalyptus and the wombats were so adorable!

I went there with my friends, it was amazing 🤩 I can felt that all of the animals were so lively. We saw koalas moving around can you imagine that lol because they are usually sleeping on the tree and the part of animal encounters were so incredible such a great place ps. Koalas have a fluffy fur and smell like eucalyptus 🥰

It has been a long time since I last visited a wildlife park. Went to this place with an overseas visitor and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The entry fees included a show, which was pretty good. Overall we really enjoyed this wildlife sanctuary, there were lots to see.

The best evening. An experienced friendly guide taking us to meet Australian native animals, who were awake and active. And we got to not observe, but interact with them.

One of the best wildlife park in Melbourne, not as big as other wildlife park but the highlight of this park is being able to get up close with the koala and kangaroos. Staffs are friendly and the shows are very entertaining as well as very informative. A cafe is also available inside and clean toilets..

Nice place to get close and see the koalas, kangaroos, pet the koala, feed the kangaroos, and have an enjoyable time with the Australian animals especially together with the children! Also, the cafe within serves great food!

Encounter in close range with many local animals. This is quite fun and exciting for my children. You can fed the kangaroos. the food can be bought at ticketing at $3/box. My guide recommends 4 person to 1 box.

A wonderful wildlife venue for families, individuals and don't forget your friends/family from overseas. Feed wallabies and join the 'keeper talks' to learn more about our amazing Aussie wildlife. Choose a special activity to join such as having your photo taken with a koala, have a python draped around your neck. Many more options. Check the website.

We love Moonlit Sanctuary. It is a special place where our native wildlife are cared for with understanding and love. The encounters with different species are very informative and unique. What a gift to be able to hold and feed these beautiful animals while the very knowledgeable keepers gives you information on each individual animals requirements, habitat etc. Moonlit is a relaxing and peaceful place where the animals look comfortable and happy. A very special place. ❤️

After 2 attempts in Sydney and Cairns I finally had a proper Koala encounter. I loved it very much, the Koala was adorable, the handler was friendly and did not rush me. It was lovely to see the kangaroos jumping around freely and meeting people in a safe way. It was not crowded and the conservation park is a beautiful natural environment where it is very nice to spend a morning or afternoon.
