What a fantastic way to see the peninsula. The views are breathtaking 😍 ✨️ the staff are all very friendly, it takes about 15 minutes return. I recomend starting at the bottom...as you get higher the view is more stunning. There is plenty of free parking and when you get to the top there is a nice coffee, you can take a walk around take lots of pics 📸. They will give you a map with tracks 👣 that you can take to other great look outs so take a picnic, relax, explore and enjoy the views. Try and catch the sunset on your way down 🌇 it's 10/10.

A worthwhile experience to enjoy as part of a day out. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I wouldn't recommend having it take up the whole day, however! Plan whatever else you might like to do around the area first as the ride up doesn't take very long and there is only so much to do once you reach the top before coming back down. Try and get a gondola with the open viewing configuration rather than the Perspex windows too!

First time here and I enjoyed the beautiful view in the carriage. I could see the city from above and the scenery was amazing, especially when it’s bright and sunny. I bought the return tickets for my partner and I, we didn’t wait for our ride and the staff were nice and friendly. Definitely recommend it to couples and families who would like to enjoy the view of Melbourne!

A must have experience if you are close to the Mornington Peninsula. Not only the views are phenomenal, the staff at the summit and the base station ensures that you have a seamless experience. The summit has a cafe, enchanted gardens close by and a number of other things to explore. The drive up to the summit is amazing with a number of look out points for some amazing views...will visit again for sure!! My little one who is 2 years old said 'wow' a number of times!!

Went there with small kids and my school friend, visiting from Sydney. It was very crowded due to public holidays we waited to be boarded for almost 2 and half hours. We bought the tickets in advance. However, when you are waiting in the queue after the queue when you are waiting to be boarded there’s a place you can buy ticket on the spot as online they are not offering family tickets so I will recommend if you’re travelling with family better buy at the window. The photo of the family ticket is attached. While you are going up from the base station, it was a wonderful view of ocean. You can take beautiful photos of family as well as nature. Once you reach at the Lookout, you can have more clear view and trails for Hiking. You can drive up there as well.

It is a really nice view if you go on a clear day. The ride down is quite quick and there isn't anywhere to go if you go down except for a gift shop. There is more to see up the top such as gardens and lookouts. The staff were wonderful and friendly. For such a quick ride, however I'd say the tickets were a bit much, especially if you're booking for a family who have more than 2 children as you have to pay for each additional child after that.

Great view, much improved since my last visit 20 years ago, knowing as “Arthur Seat” the old seat is now replaced by cable car as good as Cairns, if not better.

We waited for a while in the que. I was expecting that being a long weekend. But everyone was happy, chatting with each other. Staff are fantastic. Beautiful views. Would be wonderful doing it at night

An interesting perspective of Melbourne from across Port Phillip Bay - the view is fascinating and the ride is enjoyable. A number of lookouts that offer scenic captures. Absolutely loved this family-friendly attraction.

Definitely must to visit. Amazing views, great chairlifts, awesome staff. There is lots to see, so I’d recommend to give it a day to really experience it all. We missed a lot as we arrived in the afternoon. Now, when we know 😀

This was our first visit which we throughly enjoyed. We took the gondola ride (return trip) which was a great experience for all. There is a cafe at summit station. The staff were all very friendly and treated everyone (including children)with utmost respect. Would definitely recommend!

The Arthur Seat Eagle is fantastic! The ride lasts about 10 minutes each way, and you can choose a one-way or return ticket. The staff is super friendly, and the prices are fair. The view up there is just breathtaking! Plus, there's a spot for a barbecue and awesome lookout points perfect for taking unforgettable photos. Although we missed the boat ride nearby, it's on our list for next time. Don't forget the cafe—they serve great coffee and snacks. Overall, it's been an amazing experience!

I haven't been here in maybe 30-35 years and since the major upgrade it is amazing at what they have done. On a clear day the views are spectacular and you can even see the city in the distance. I would recommend going here even for a day trip to get out of the house as there is so much to do in the area some are walking distance from the summit.

The rope way provided a unique and exhilarating perspective of the surroundings. The panoramic views were breathtaking, and the gentle sway added an adventurous touch to the journey. Overall, a thrilling and enjoyable experience, offering breathtaking aerial views that showcased the beauty of the landscape. The smooth ride and comfortable cabins added to the enjoyment, creating a memorable and exhilarating adventure. It's a must-try for anyone seeking a unique and picturesque way to appreciate the surroundings.

I liked this place. The experience I had was awesome. But we waited for 30 minutes to enter into the cable car. We will get awesome pictures. There were lookout points where we can see the sea meets the land. In cable car we will feel safe and the speed is limited. So that we can enjoy the beauty of nature. The staffs were receptive and they explained us everything.

Great view and a must visit when you are in the area. However in my opinion, the ride is slightly a bit too expensive for the amount of time you are actually in the cable car. Having said this, it shouldn't deter you from experiencing the fantastic view you get of the peninsula from your cable car.

Some of the most spectacular views and scenery. Arthur's seat is a 304 metre high granite hill and is the highest viewpoint on the Mornington Peninsula. The Arthurs Seat Eagle is a state of the art Gondola which travels on cables high above the treetops to take its visitors up to the summit. At the top there are beautiful walking trails and places to have a picnic.

Came here early in the morning at 0930, no lines or crowds. Although, when leaving at 1100 - the crowds starting to arrive. Staff were excellent and very friendly. Safe Gondolas and very modern. Would highly recommend anyone coming here. Don't drive to the top (limited parking and winding road to the top). At the top there is a few gorgeous walking tracks. If you want to avoid to the queue's and crowds, come here early.

Always busy during nice weather and on weekends. Bigger cafe at the summit. Not a bad selection of food/drink but a bit pricey. Gondola ride itself is great. Views are amazing. Close to Dromana beach and other attractions. Parking is ok.

Great place to spend time with family and friends. We visited during a public holiday and there is a huge line for tickets. I would advice to book online to avoid big lines. Coffee and snack at the summit station were good. No Small coffee, either medium or large. Quick and fast delivery. Views are spectacular and the ride is fun. Max 8 people (including toddlers) allowed in each gandola which is a little annoying for us as we r 9 with 2 toddlers and ended up splitting the ride. However we had a nice ride up and down.

Beautiful day Beautiful well looked after grounds Friendly staff The gondola rides can be accessed by wheelchairs and prams. The state park is a little harder if you want to go off the main area they would be hard work But the grounds are extremely clean and well kept as are the public toilets the cleanest I've ever seen in any kind of park

We had a very nice ride at Christmas, and also a good party for kids up the cable with fun things to do and nice performance. The ride is about 15min and has great views both directions. The price is a bit high, but well worth it if you do things at the top, some trails are very nice.

I recently visited Arthurs Seat Eagle and was absolutely blown away by the stunning views and unique experience. The gondola ride up to the summit was both exhilarating and peaceful, with panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding countryside. The ride is perfect for families, friends or couples, and is an experience that is sure to create lasting memories. At the top, there are plenty of walking trails and lookout points to explore, making it a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Arthurs Seat Eagle to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable adventure.

Very busy but worth the wait. The view is fantastic. Recommended to start your journey from the top car park as the queue seems to be shorter on top of the valley than on the base.

After enjoying a delightful winery lunch in Mornington, we took a short drive to visit this scenic lookout. We opted to take the cable car to the mountain top, where we were treated to a magnificent view of the bay. For those who prefer to drive, it was easy to access by car as well. We had the pleasure of spotting some kangaroos and thoroughly enjoyed the breathtaking scenery. Before descending on the cable car, we took a group picture to capture the moment. The area felt safe and clean, adding to the overall wonderful experience.

I Amasing views, really fun staff, great for the kids and the adults. Coffee ship up the top. The views from the gondolas are incredible, and Breath taking. There is so much to do at the top. There's an old car museum, tree top zip line adventure, a maze, and beautiful gardens. There is a nice brewery with the best views of the bay. While having a nice meal. The trip back down the hill is just as exciting as the trip up in the gondolas. And if you like hiking, there are a few really nice hiking tracks up and down the mountain. The views from the top will not disappoint and there is a dial that shows you all the directions of each landmark eg the Dandenong rangers and Port Phillip Bay etc.

We took the last gondola on a Tuesday. It wasn’t very busy. The view was breathtaking. It’s a 15mins ride and you can choose one way ($22.50) or return ($29.50). We got tickets for one way and had someone pick us up at the base. There’s a cafe right outside the office.

Wonderful scenic trip on a Sunday. We arrived by 10 am and there was easy parking and no line. We bought our ticket $31 each return trip and headed to the gondolier. The guides let each group go in their own gondolier which was great for privacy. The trip was short and view breathtaking. It's compulsory to get off at the other end and then line up to reboard. We wondered through the gift shop and you could buy something very light to eat like an ice-cream. The trip back went all too quick, though enjoyable. We then had lunch there, a very basic menu. Hot chips, pies, pasties, focaccias, quiches & sandwiches. My partner had a $5 coffee which was super tiny and 2 star, I opted for an iced chocolate which was nice. It would be a great place to have a picnic after your ride, there are grassed areas, tables and chairs. Temperature was 24 degrees which was perfect. A great attraction on the peninsula!

The staff here are so super friendly, they really help the experience! The prices are a tiny bit steep 94$ for 4 adults. The views on the way up do somewhat justify it and you avoid the windy road the whole way up. Plenty of parking at the bottom and public toilets as well as a cafe.

I visited here about 20 years ago and it was lovely. It had a really nice atmosphere. I realize that the lift needed updating but they destroyed the atmosphere in the process sadly. It's grey and modern and ugly now. I was quite disappointed. I wouldn't visit again.

  • 4/5 Chris S. 4 years ago on Google
A good view from the top even if somewhat overcast. If you don't want to pay for the gondola, or are sfraid of heights, you can drive to the top where there is a good walk around the park.

Gondola ride is nice and short. Magnificent scenery of the bay🤩 in good weather you can spot Melbourne’s skyline in the horizon on the other side of the bay! Not recommended on public holidays due to the very looooong queue 😩 Arthur’s seat itself is kind of a regular seat really, meh 😒

Good place to visit. There is very limited parking at base station and it immediately gets full as soon as base station starts for Gondola. So if you are looking to park at base station then make sure to arrive quickly. Gondola ride is fun for kids. On top hill there is enchanted garden. Family can spend day here. Easily for 5-6 hrs. There are so many activities to do. Love this place.

Staff are so friendly, especially the kind faces greeting you at the base and top! The place feels immaculately clean, and the ride to and from the top was so serene. The views are breathtaking. A bit pricey, but would definitely do it again. There's even a cafe right at the top! And some nice bush walks too. Highly recommended.

Nice way to enjoy view of the bay, and you can even see cbd from here! They can either open the windows or close it on windy day, I got enjoy both on each way. The view is very pretty. I wouldn’t say the ride is 15 minutes, it was probably more like slightly over 10 minutes. The cafe on the top is nice, enjoyed their vanilla slice and beautiful soft scones. I wish they gave more of cream and jam though! Rather small amount for 2 scones! Overall great activity/attraction in Mornington Peninsula area.

It's well-worth the time to ride the Eagle at Arthur's Seat and explore the attractions at the summit. We had spectacular views over Port Phillip Bay while enjoyed a coffee. The chairlift ride was fun, I would recommend going on an open car to ensure you can take-in the full view. The perspex screens on the closed cars might mean your photos aren't as clear. Just make sure you have a jacket on cooler days!

  • 5/5 Saugat B. 2 years ago on Google
Great place to be with children and family. The best day out plan would be to take a ride to the summit on cable cars and spend the day at Enchanted Adventure Park, which is about 500 matra from the summit. And take a ride down to the base station in the evening.

  • 5/5 Bob L. 1 year ago on Google
to relax the mind on a weekend vacation with the family. There is nothing so "wow" or interesting for adults here except enjoying the beautiful view from above. There should be a playground for children so that there are family activities here.

Scenic drive along the beach and ascend towards the top station. The cable car ride takes to to and fro to the base station (price include ride both ways). Nice restaurant facility on the top. Few walk in spots. The souvenir shop in base station where you can buy goodies. When you ride few good lookout spots for some good snaps. Road is a bit curvy, be careful if you are new to driving !!! Kids friendly. Good picnic spot for families.

Great sceneries and worth ride every cent. It is recommended to get the return ticket as it is only 6-7 Aud tops to one way, and you will want the second run to catch the beauty through naked eye, as on first ride you will be capturing all the sceneries with the mobile 😅. It is a one day trip or at-least a good half day, as the Arthur’s seat park has a 2km summit with many beautiful places sit and relax. The premise contains several BBQ stoves free to use and its quite literally a picnic + some 🦘🦘to see. You can take 788 or 887 from frankston if public transport to be used, but 887 is much preferred. However the walk from Mordana beach to base station is not exactly a straight path where finding the path would be a small trouble.

If your planning to visit Mornington Peninsula, Dont forget to visit this place and having a ride with eagle godola. It was an amazing bird eye view of morington beach . Tickets are reasonable but if your are going at weekend make it advance , you can buy tickets from the entrance but you will spend more time. Not too much crowded at weekdays .

Arthur's Seat is a beautiful and iconic location on the Mornington Peninsula in Australia. Visitors often praise its stunning panoramic views of the surrounding coastline and Melbourne skyline. It's a great place for hiking and enjoying nature, with well-maintained trails. Additionally, the Arthur's Seat Eagle, a gondola ride, provides a unique perspective of the area. Overall, it's a must-visit for nature lovers and those looking for breathtaking scenery.

Awesome place to hangout at the top + Gandola. 1 star less due to parking -Very little parking for the crowd that comes, no alternatives. 1 less star for Gandola don't have good crowd management - people with online tickets are lining up with those without & with those returning - can be faster?? Keep 1+ hr aside to queue + parking

Great cable car experience. The cable car fits upto 8 people but you don't need to share with others if you're in a group of 3-4+. Awesome views of the bay and ocean. Friendly staff. There are overflow parking areas for busy days which is a 3 minute walk from the summit.

Nice experience it was, and the view is magnificent from the top, not too expensive either because it overall runs through, roughly 12 mins. The park is nice too. You can buy one way ticket too not sure is it worth though.

Great day out, staff are incredibly friendly. Make this your destination with loved ones and friends, perfect for the children. It's perfect for everyone even stops for a wheelchair, absolutely perfect. Once at the top you can walk around or venture to seawinds and the Enchanted Maze

Great place to take the family & have a fun day out. The chairlift ride has spectacular views, and once up the top there is some great places to visit, with plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Check it out.

After struggling to get parking anywhere close by, we decided to (HINT) park up around the first bend on the side of the road. The view was really spectacular. The food prices at the top were crazy. $8.50 for a sausage roll and $8.50 for a small chips. They also want to charge $20 for a photo which is totally crazy when people are doing it tough. I think they should lower the photo price to $10-12 and they would sell triple the amount, rather than try and rip people off.

The scenery is very beautiful, because of the holiday, the waiting time is very long, waiting for about an hour to take the cable car, the cable car length is about 10 minutes. It's recommended, but go at a less crowded time.

The staff are friendly, the facilities are clean. We didn’t wait to get the ride, since went there a bit early. It was such a great experience for us on the Gondolas. Stunning views!
