👍👍 A beautiful building right in the heart of Melbourne City. Well, technically not the heart of the city, but close by. The architecture is amazing built someone in 1890s, so not in the near past. Anyways, this building is open as an museum, a community place and as a venue for events. People often mention building, events, beautiful,

The design of the arts centre is very beautiful and well crafted, however the acoustics of the main hall is not particularly well planned because the seating is not raised at all, it's on floorboards. However it doesn't have a huge impact on the performances.

Impressive old building which has been well maintained. Foundation stone was laid in 1888. Former Town Hall but now the Hawthorn Arts Centre. Boroondara Volunteer Expo held here annually. Boroondara Youth Hub also located here. Central location with easy access by public transport (either train or tram). Car parking available at the rear. Many hotels, cafes and restaurants nearby.

Beautiful Hall and acoustics. We were there for our school (Marcellin) Instrumental concert, and it was fabulous! Easy and plentiful parking on the street or behind centre and always helpful, courteous and knowledgeable staff around all evening to assist!

Great venue for events, very old historic place, they always have some interesting exhibition going on throughout the year, they also have many local events and markets, like the makers market on Sunday, with some very interesting items.

Thoroughly enjoyed tour of the hawthorn arts centre. Informative and fascinating history. Their events are worth attending incl amazing tour by Cyrus Tang passionately showcasing her extraordinary genre of works. She was stimulating. Staff offer friendly assistance & professionalism in all ways.

Was here for a performance at theater, and while the stage was superb, the seating left a bit to be desired..

Beautifully sculptured ceiling, spacious foyer. Large clean bathrooms. Pretty sculptures. Seating isn't the best, feels temporary.

We were at the town hall to see the local school music performances. Comfortable seats and room temperature was set appropriately for a very chilly evening.

It's a beautiful old building with ceilings that are stunning. They've been well looked after. I went to see/hear 'The Messiah 'and the acoustics were good. Clean spacious ladies 🚺 toilets. A lot of parking behind the building, though I did find it difficult to find. Google maps helped. There are lots of restaurants and cafes in the surrounding streets
