Best to avoid this cafe. The waitress was nice but the owner/chef was rude. It was a simple polite inquiry and request about eggs in a toasted sandwich (due to pregnancy) which led the owner/chef to abruptly say this was not a personal kitchen and she was also a little busy? She obviously doesn’t have the customer service skills and capacity to manage the stresses of a food business and with four customers inside. The previous owners were so lovely.

I normally come to this cafe on my day off, but over the past few months the vibe of this cafe has been going downhill. This morning one of the newer staff, a middle aged man was serving me and condescending told me about how many shots was in my large coffee and said ‘are you sure you want that?’ as if I haven’t ordered the exact same thing the past few years, he then asks his colleague how to put four shots in the coffee. Although I can acknowledge new staff need training, this man should be mindful on his tone of voice when serving customers otherwise I’ll be going to Bobbi in the future.

Lovely little cafe in Balwyn, right near Marcellin for those with kids at the school. Crepes are their speciality but coffee is pretty good too. New owners seem nice. Bathroom could use some love though.

Went there about a month ago with my husband... I think the management has changed, the new owner seemed rude and impolite when talking to the customers. Even the staff just don't treat the customers right... The previous management was amazing, this might be the downfall of the Cafe very soon if they don't step it up. The Old man was very kind in his table service. Food and coffee has sadly taken a 80% drop in taste and quality since about mid 2020. Not good.

Exceptional! Bring your passport coz step in here and you’re in France. The food is legit. The muffins are soft and buttery, the croissants are delicate and fresh and the waffles are better than any I’ve ever had. Coffee is amazing too. Honestly, this place is a gem. Come for cake and coffee, lunch or brunch. Couldn’t take a pic of the food, ate it too quick.

Great Food - Good Service. Egg and bacon Crepe was just amazing with hollandaise, WOW. And Had a La Banana with strawberries after, just too good. Thanks to the staff for great service and good overall experience. Will be back.

We recently held a high tea here for 20 women. Fabulous food, great service and such a friendly atmosphere. Can’t recommend Bar Sur Loup highly enough.

Went here with the family today for Father’s Day brunch. Had a fabulous time! The food was delicious and we loved the super cute French them. We had a large party, loads of orders, preschool aged kids running around and the owner accommodated us all with kindness. The chef is authentically French which is trés cool. Thanks for a lovely family day out!

Authentic french crepes and other food including baguettes and pastries served in this lovely cafe. I enjoyed the asparagus crepes and a Napoleon green smoothie with a shot of protein. Very yummy and filling. Next time I will definitely have a sweet crepe. My friend had the Croque Monsieur and particularly enjoyed the herbed butter on the toasted sandwich. You must try this place.

Bar sur loup is a great French style cafe where you can enjoy sweet dishes like crepes, waffles and French toast or savoury options like eggs and baguettes. I have tried their Belgium waffles which are so delicious and very filling especially when you add fruit and ice cream as toppings. The French toast is also a great dish and is served with berries or bananas. I’ve had both their sweet and savoury crepes including with ricotta filling which is so yum. A must try is their cheese and chive omelette which I added asparagus to. As well as their scrambled eggs which you can add various sides to. Their coffees and chai lattes are also very delicious. Along with their daily pastries. This is a great cafe to visit and try some lovely French brunch.

Delicious crepes, eclairs are yummy and made in house. Friendly service from the young gentlemen and my soy latte was nice and creamy. Maybe next time I'll try the baguettes as the have a variety to choose from. Nice little courtyard outback ro get away from by tooting cars from the front.

Such a cute little cafe. Been here a few times and keep coming back because I just want to try everything on the menu. Staff are super friendly and the food comes out very quickly. The vibe of this place is so nice. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back again and again!
