My
Brivis
central
heating
unit
failed
last
Friday.
I
thought
I
would
get
Brivis
to
fix
it,
but
had
to
wait
until
Monday
for
their
call
centre
to
open.
When
I
got
through,
I
was
told
that
someone
would
contact
me
in
24
to
48
hours
to
book
a
service
appointment.
After
freezing
through
the
weekend,
I
decided
not
to
wait
and
started
contacting
local
plumbing
businesses.
Some
did
not
answer
and
one
was
busy
for
3
weeks,
but
Brendan
said
he
could
be
there
the
next
day.
Skipping
ahead,
the
heater
was
replaced
on
the
only
day
of
the
week
without
rain
(part
of
the
roof
had
to
be
removed
to
get
the
unit
in).
Now
the
house
is
warm
again.
In
case
you
were
wondering,
the
Brivis
unit
was
15
years
old.
Two
faults
were
discovered
that
could
have
been
repaired,
but
I
took
the
advice
I
was
given
and
agreed
to
a
replacement.
I
looked
inside
the
old
unit,
which
was
then
in
the
back
of
a
truck.
It
had
a
split
heater
tube
with
lots
of
black
marks
around
the
split.
In
other
words,
repairs
would
have
been
a
waste
of
money.
Brendan
answered
the
phone
every
time
I
called.
This
is
not
faint
praise.
The
team
were
well
mannered
and
did
a
good
job.
After
the
heater
was
replaced,
a
Brivis
agent
finally
called
me.
Not
good
enough.
Summary
Brivis
deserves
zero
stars.
I
really
wonder
how
they
stay
in
business.
South
East
Plumbing
and
Electrical
provided
exemplary
service
and
get
5
stars.
