DO NOT GO TO GROOMERS! We tried Petbarn as a groomer at Box Hill after moving to the area and am beyond shocked with the outcome. Our puppy is long haired cavalier cross and instead of cutting the matts from his hair they shaved him in patches in the bits that were "too hard to brush out" i would not recommend them at all. Our little boy is now full of patches like this. We booked him in for a trim only and were not even called to ask if they could shave parts of him. Called customer service as well to try and discuss and were told we'd receive a call from the area manager - still no call a week later. Not happy. Not good enough.

Groomers here must have changed recently. I’ve had my dogs groomed here for a long time now but today was a different story. He was ‘finished’ in a quarter of the time he usually is, which was odd. Picked him up and he was still wet, with hair shedding everywhere. It’s like they didn’t even brush him. My car is now covered, which has never happened before, with any groomer. They left a section of matted hair behind his ear as well. I guess I should count myself lucky they didn’t just shave him completely. Do not recommend these new groomers at all.

We had our dog groomed at petbarn for the first time. Overall it was a very disappointing experience. She was very distressed and unsettled after the grooming session, moreso than with her other groomer and has since regressed in house training (poos inside.) She was shaved all over (which they told us they would do in advance) but despite this, some sections are uneven (e.g.ears are two different lengths.) Would not recommend the grooming services from here.

The pet barn service for fish is unbeatable.The staff give exact details on every fish breed. They have a huge collection of fish, tanks etc. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for anything animal related.

Just collected my Charlie from their grooming salon-so happy with the result! He smelled fab and he was relaxed coming home unlike other times with other places. The ladies who did excellent work were nice and friendly too. Highly recommended!

We went with our adopted puppy the day we got her, with no idea what food to get her. The staff were amazing, telling us exactly what foods to avoid and what the best quality there is for her etc. they really stepped out of their way to assist us.

I’ve booked 23 Dec’s grooming on 17 Nov, and received a message on 19 Dec from the shop saying they need to cancel my booking because of staffing issues!!!!!! And everywhere is fully booked now for Christmas time. I made the booking more than one month in advance, I just want to make sure my dog could have a grooming before Christmas. I’m so disappointed of the poor customer service and managed system.

Louis loves going to the groomers. She loves playing with the other dogs and the team are always so welcoming and warm. I highly recommend Box Hill Petbarn

No communication between staff I chose an item of the shelf a staff member moved to the side and within minutes it was gone it had not been sold and basically couldn't get staff to help find as it was the last a bag of Kitty Litter in the brand I was after. Very disappointed in staff

They have a good collection of products but service could be improved, always seems like an inconvenience when they have to serve someone. A smile wouldn't go astray.

Grooming. Recommended. Being a long term customer since 2015 their service has been good and consistent. Price has gone up again and again though but still my first choice.

4 young staff members two males - two females, all present at the registers. Only one was busy. Why can’t we encourage young strong folks to lend a hand with heavy loads? It escapes me- common decency. If I were the manager there I would encourage helpfulness and attentiveness.

Always found the staff friendly and helpful. As with Petbarn on a whole good range with all the things I need. A bit pricier than buying online, but the experience and knowledge of the team is worth paying the couple of dollars extra.

It was my first and last visit. Terrible service from the staff , it really seem that they don’t care at all about animals! Picked up my dog after less than 2 hours of grooming, she was bleeding from her paw as they cut her nails very deep , she had red scars and lightly bleeding from her belly and she had terrible fur patches ( staff informed me about this when i picked her up) from terrible grooming!

I usually shop at PetStock, but the price at Petbarn was so much better. Staff were also very helpful. Thank you!

Good for a wide range of products, although it's hit by supply shortages like many other stores. I find the website a bit clunky when trying to apply discount codes, etc. Otherwise easy to navigate.

Bit pricey but they have everything you need under one roof and quality products for your cutie pies
