What a beautiful place! If you like to get away from it all Harvey's Point is most definitely worth a visit. The hotel is exceptional and the staff are the most welcoming I have ever experienced on all my travels. I just might make this an annual event.

We had a wonderful two days at Harvey's Point. Very beautiful and peaceful setting. Staff so friendly and helpful. Great piano music on Monday night. Lovely view of lake, wildlife and nature from dining room and bar. Perfect setting while enjoying their great food and surroundings. Loved sitting on balcony loungers and view from our very comfortable room. Looking forward to returning very soon. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Absolutely lovely stay at Harvey's Point. A fantastic hotel in the most gorgeous setting. Dinner was first class and I think we got lucky with a Sirloin on as Chefs special. Cocktails in the bar afterward were delicious and special mention to senior barman Paul for keeping the service at the highest level. Breakfast was hearty and delicious I had a freshly cooked Omelette and my fiancee had the Kippers. We are looking forward to a walk around the Lough later. 5*

My husband and I home from France for the Summer, and decided to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary here last weekend. We loved it! We were made feel so welcome. There were little desserts in our room with a lovely personal message from staff. The room was amazing, with absolutely everything you need, even music in the bathroom! All of the personnel were so helpful and friendly. Food was excellent in the lakeside restaurant. And last but not least, the location is outstanding! Thank you Harvey's Point for making our anniversary such a memorable one. We look forward to coming back!

One of the nicest, best run hotels I've ever stayed at. The bar food is delicious, not overpriced. Staff are amazing, super friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are nothing short of spectacular. The bed is super comfortable, decor is warm, modern and welcoming. Breakfast was fresh and tasty and the views from the breakfast room is breathtaking 😍 I spend quite a bit of time in Donegal so I definitely will be back.

I cannot find 1 bad thing to say about this hotel. From the time we walked in to the minute we left, EVERYTHING was of the highest quality. We went for a 5 night B&B n February 2023. The package included one lunch and 3 dinners. Our room, which had a lakeside view was extremely comfortable and it was cleaned every day. All food, including breakfast, was of a very high standard indeed. Menus included things guinea fowl, octopus, scallops etc.. all of which were cooked and presented really well. There were also specials which changed daily. The service was also exceptional. Staff were friendly and helpful and were in a different league to some hotels I have stayed in. I'm talking about all staff, both in the restaurant and in their lovely octagonal bar. The bar has a really nice ambiance too. There was entertainment most nights and I'd have to say, it was very very good. Overall, as I mentioned before, we could not find a single thing to complain about. Many thanks to Ailish and all the staff A superbly run Hotel

Visited for the Sunday Carvery dining. Brilliant experience, staff are a credit to the hotel. Each time we left the table our empty plates were cleared. Very efficient, great service. Value for money, recommend to everyone. Not a bad thing to say about the experience!

The lakeside suite is very nice and comfortable. Beautiful decor. However, the hairdryer is very annoying. Why does it have this button that must be kept pressed the whole time. It takes quite some time to dry my hair and this was very annoying. Reminded me of the hairdryers in cheap hotels that are attached to the wall in case people steal them, not what I expect when I paid nearly €300 for the room. Looked forward to dinner. Staff amazingly attentive. Food cooked to an very high standard. Excellent flavours but unfortunately the enjoyment was reduced by it being served not hot enough. The amuse bouche was some soup but the cup was not warmed and it wasn’t very hot when we got it. The starters of scallops for me and artichoke roll for my husband were amazing. Fabulous flavours. But unfortunately the main course was not hot. The plates were cold which is very strange and therefore the dinner became cold before it was finished. Very disappointing as the cooking was again very good. Surely the plates should be heated. I do this in my own kitchen. We thought also that the accompanying vegetables of soft roasted carrots/ parsnips and champ didn’t really go well with our fish main courses. More suited to a carvery lunch. At almost €200 for dinner it wasn’t up to the reputation of this hotel and wasn’t worth travelling for. The simple things such as hot plates and hot food are an essential starting point. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend it as a place for fine dining

The suites are huge and very pampering. Service of the hotel's staff is exceptional. The hotel is settled on the shore of a beautiful and pastoral lake. The breakfast was excellent with great selection. We really enjoyed our stay. We are expecting to come back.

Just outstanding. From checking in the experience was top notch and continued during our stay. The staff are excellent, the suites are huge and the food it just brilliant. The lady checking in and the Conciegre set a high standard. The staff in the bar and restaurant kept the high standard. Will visit again

Harvey's Point Hotel has to be one of the most special places in Donegal to experience. We have enjoyed many Sunday Carvery and Christmas dinner where you are never left disappointed. However, the most special event was for our wedding reception in July of this year. I couldn't recommend them enough, the service and coordination of the day was exceptional, quality and presentation of our food was beautiful and enough to go for seconds. The staff are what makes Harvey's what it is, all so warm, welcoming, and always available to help when needed. We can't thank them enough for making our day such a day to remember ❤️ We've already booked another overnight stay experience for next summer and we're already counting down the days. Grainne & Pat.

Staff are very professional, friendly, and attentive. The rooms are amazing. Breakfast was tops, the evening meal was surprisingly disappointing for both of us. Mr. Noel Cunningham, walk was really lovely, great company and well looked after. Will certainly book again and highly recommend. 😀

What a spectacular hotel. We relaxed the moment we walked through the doors and stayed that way until we left. Our room was one of the nicest I've ever stayed in, extremely spacious and had everything in it that you could possibly need. The bathroom was huge, there was a sitting room area and it was all so comfortable and beautifully appointed. The food is gorgeous and the service in both the restaurant and the bar area was excellent. Eilis lent a touch of class to breakfast ensuring everyone had what they needed at all times and Colm and Padraig in the bar are just super at what they do. We will definitely be back!!!

Stayed in Harvey's Point this weekend with family. From booking we were looked after very well by staff. Everyone extremely friendly and attentive. The hotel is fantastic, with plenty of nice areas for relaxing and a number of fire places. We had the sunday lunch and a dinner in the hotel as well as breakfast. all meals were fantastic. The rooms are absolutely huge and so comfortable. Possibly the best I've ever stayed in. Very nice location on the lake with some nice walks available. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Had a wedding here a couple of weeks ago. It was absolutely wonderful. The staff were extremely pleasant. The food was delicious. We loved staying our stay in the lodge. The area is beautiful as well. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

Fantastic hotel. We had a really lovely stay at the hotel. The staff are really lovely and extremely helpful and very friendly. The food was excellent. We had an amazing dinner in the resturant and breakfast was first class. Our room was really good. The view out over the lake was lovely. Very relaxing stay and highly recommended.

We stayed for a special occasion over the weekend and it truly is a very special place. Having stayed previously I knew that it was a lovely place but this was my partners first time to stay and experience Harvey's Point. The location is amazing and food is gorgeous but what makes this place special is the staff. So friendly, welcoming and they go the extra mile as standard. Honestly the best overall experience Ive had at a hotel and already planning our next trip.

We are just back from a two-night stay at Harvey's Point to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived, the staff just couldnt do enough for us. The room was fantastic, spotless and well serviced. The food in both the restaurant and the bar was delicious with great service in both. Excellent bar service too with really good cocktails. Breakfast was so good and we were lucky enough to be seated at window overlooking the lake. I honestly couldnt fault anything during our stay and will look forward to our next stay

This was the most perfect location for our wedding day reception! We fell in love with Harvey's Point because of it's beautiful location on the the lake and incredible ballroom. Though it was raining on our wedding day, this didn't dampen the mood at all as all our guests were so busy enjoying the wonderful, warm hospitality that Harvey's Point provided. The food was another major highlight and all our guests have said how incredible it was! We are so grateful for the help we were given with wedding planning and all the tips and advice from the Wedding Team, Samantha and Molly in particular. Harvey's Point will always hold a very special place in our hearts and we can't wait to come back and celebrate our anniversary here in the future!

Harvey's Point is an excellent venue. The service from the staff was excellent, all very polite and professional. Food was excellent, in particular the roast sirloin, onion compote & beef gravy main course, as well as the range of breakfast foods the next morning! That's not to mention the absolutely stunning views - Lough Eske makes for an excellent backdrop for photos! Only point for improvement would be in the rooms. The rooms are massive and in good condition, just a bit warm for a June wedding! For a room of 4 people, one fan was somewhat insufficient. Overall though, the stay was very positive, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of staying - well worth the money!

My husband and I booked into Harvey's Point as we were due to attend a family wedding onsite - we stayed for two nights. Beautiful hotel situated on a lake with incredible views, impeccable service, and you knew you were going to be looked after as soon as you walked in the front door. Room and bathroom was very large and each room had a hallway so you had guaranteed quiet at night time. There are no sockets beside the bed and we would have benefitted from this. Excellent WiFi connection. Hotel was very hot and humid but we were provided with two fans which made the stay quite bearable. We were disappointed with dinner in the restaurant - food was bland, we felt there wasn't much choice on the menu, service was slow, but the restaurant was incredibly busy. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful. Overall, we felt like we were staying in a resort, as opposed to a hotel and, from us, this is a massive compliment.

A good place for rest and relaxation. Located on the lake and away from the town center. You can stroll along the paths near the lake and enjoy the quiet beauty of the area. Be warned that the roads to this hotel are narrow and may be white knuckle driving for those unaccustomed to country roads!

Currently here right now. Checked in and the process was easy enough. Had a reservation at the bar restaurant. Food was great but service was terrible. We waited over and hour for food and only one person came to check on us. We kept having to flag people down. Not a great start. Rooms were great however extremely hot. Hoping the air conditioner will start up. Scenery is beautiful. Day two: woke up and went to take a shower the shower had hair all over the walls. Advised the front desk and left for the day. Update came back hair still there. At checkout I advised the concierge and she acted as tho I was not being truthful. But I took pictures. Dinner at the main restaurant was very good.

Stayed in Harvey’s Point for a friends wedding - our first visit to the hotel. The wedding reception was spectacular and staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful. We had a Executive room which was the one of the biggest hotel rooms we’ve ever stayed in. Food during reception was yummy. I am vegan and was surprised when I was told I had three different meal choices to choose from for my main. As well as a vegan soup, melon for starter and a desert consisting of three small cakes which was absolutely to die for. We returned a few nights later to have a meal at the Bar & Terrace and again food was very nice. Myself and three others, one other vegan, a vegetarian and a friend with a diary allergy really appreciated the separate vegan menu. The only complaint I have with the Bar & Terrace meal was that the vegan dishes were very small and not very filling for the price of them.

As always Harvey's Point reminds us why it's our favourite place in Ireland. Most spacious rooms of any hotel. Food and service are unbelievable. Sunday lunch is like no other. Ohran and Eilis both deserve a special mention for their helpfulness and welcoming nature. They are the personification of what Harvey's Point offers to its guests in hospitality standards. Wonderful family location and couldn't do more to help us. Can't wait to revisit.

Absolutely fabulous hotel!! No pool or spa but 5 star in every other way. Friendly staff are extremely helpful, wonderful breakfast and delicious dinner. Beautiful setting on the lake makes it a perfect place to stay. I have stayed in the Lodge for a wedding and also a penthouse room for my birthday. Ideal for celebrations 🍾

In a word WOW.... I have traveled all over the world and the experience at Harveys was the best yet.. This is a must for any couple. We are already looking at heading back early next year. The staff, the food, the rooms just perfect. Thanks to all at the hotel for a very memorable visit

Great place and location, very close to Donegal town. The overall ambience was luxurious - my room had a beautiful view of the lake. Services were excellent - breakfast was lavish and I had wonderful conversations with servers and bartenders. Everyone was very polite, courteous and helpful. The room itself was a little small and the only way to turn off ALL lights at night was to cut the power completely which meant I couldn't charge my phone (likely something I was doing wrong but it wasn't obvious how to turn off ALL lights w/o cutting main power to the room). The layout of the premises was a little confusing, without clear directions from the main parking area to the lodge. But these are minor issues - it's an absolutely wonderful place and I thoroughly enjoyed my two nights there!

Harvey's Point never disappoints. Situated on the shores of Lough Eske, surrounded by the Blue Stack Mountains, the view is memorising. We were greeted with a genuinely warm welcome and showed to our gorgeous huge room. Dinner was superb, followed the next morning by probably the best breakfast selection in Ireland. Staying at Harvey's Point is like going home, warm and welcoming. If you fancy a walk, hike or hill walk it's all on your door step. We can't wait to go back.

Drove quite a long way to bring my wife for a birthday treat so we had lunch at Harvey’s Point: the food was atrocious. My chicken wings were cold and the skin was soft. I ordered the burger with calamari main and the calamari was the rock hard frozen stuff rather than made fresh. I ordered a Guinness from the bar and it was without doubt the worst Guinness I’ve ever had. The one star is for the staff who are very pleasant. For the prices that are charged, it’s simply not good enough.

My partner and I stayed a few days in May in one of the executive suites with a lovely view and we came back again in November for two nights staying in a room with a balcony and stunning mountain views. The service is superb, rooms are exceptional and staff is extremely friendly. We met other guests during our guided walk and we loved every minute of our stay. Breakfasts are so tasty and we absolutely enjoyed a cooking presentation. Meeting Noel Cunningham was so lovely and he made our two and half hour walk an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel. Natalya and Brian

This place is unique. Bar area is fab and not too crowded, Stayed in Lough Eske Castle the week before and HP is slightly better (prob because it's family owned). Good commercial rates Sunday to Monday. Food is delicious. Great breakfast, Lough Eske serves tastier sausages. Love the purple wallpaper on hallways.

Recently held our wedding reception here. Absolutely fantastic wedding venue. Samantha and Mollie went above and beyond and are both fantastic at their jobs. Really could not fault our experience from the first contact to checking out the day after the wedding. Food is unbelievable, rooms are amazing, absolutely beautiful location and the staff are so so good! No surprise this place has won so many awards! Thanks again guys! Aaron + Sarah
