Just
returned
from
Ireland!
Stayed
at
The
Sandhouse
Hotel
for
two
nights.
I
would
probably
stay
here
again
but
mainly
for
the
view
and
location.
We
had
a
beach
front
room
with
a
gorgeous
view
and
close
proximity
to
a
little
outdoor
sitting
area.
If
we
did
not
have
that
view,
we
would
have
been
much
less
satisfied.
There
was
an
odd
intermittent
smell,
something
close
to
burning
crayons??
And
nearly
every
hallway
table
had
a
room
scent
reed
diffuser...not
everyone
enjoys
strong
odors
in
every
room!
The
place
has
a
lot
of
"character",
as
I
think
it
has
been
around
for
a
while.
Lots
of
old,
possibly
antique
furniture,
which
was
actually
pretty
neat,
but
also
lots
of
loud,
creaky
floors,
creaky
beds
and
stained
carpets.
They
do
offer
a
send
out
laundry
service
but
said
they
could
not
give
any
pricing
as
it
depends
on
what
and
how
many
pieces
need
to
be
laundered
and
what
they
need
done.
So
you
wouldn't
know
the
cost
until
you
got
your
clothes
back...um,
no
thanks.
The
bathroom
has
literally
nowhere
to
put
any
kind
of
travel
or
cosmetic
case,
nor
any
shelf
in
the
shower,
but
this
was
fairly
common
throughout
the
trip.
There
was
a
maybe
4"
wide
shelf.
I
could
not,
despite
a
lot
of
effort,
figure
out
how
to
adjust
the
shower
temp.
The
staff
were
super
friendly
at
breakfast.
We
did
do
a
seaweed
bath
at
the
spa.
The
staff
there
were
also
super
informative
and
nice.
Edited
to
add:
There
is
an
intercom
system
to
enter
the
place.
Have
to
press
a
buzzer,
they
check
you
out
via
video
camera
at
the
desk
and
then
buzz
you
in.
Now
I
did
not
ask
the
history
of
what
lead
to
needing
a
system
like
this.
Nothing
else
in
the
area
seemed
sketchy
or
concerning
crime-wise,
but
that
did
give
me
pause
as
to
why
it
was
necessary.
