The venue has a pleasant general ambiance but is marred by uncomfortable seating akin to airplane chairs, which don't accommodate individuals well, encouraging them to encroach on each other's space. Moreover, the lack of a shield from others' coughs and sneezes detracts from the experience. What soured the experience further was the unprofessionalism exhibited by the staff and the irrational rules in place, notably the reentry policy which doesn't allow attendees to return once they exit, even before the commencement of the show. This, coupled with the absence of clear guidance and signage directing people to their respective sections, created a lot of confusion. It feels unfair to not be informed beforehand about the reentry policy, trapping us for an extended time due to the artist's delay and our early arrival, with no option to step outside amidst a large, aimlessly wandering crowd. The poor facilities extended to the performer too, who was provided with inadequate seating arrangements, a testament to the venue's lack of consideration. The limited snack options and the merging of the snack and liquor lines, resulting in prolonged wait times, only aggravated the dissatisfaction. Overall, the evident lack of foresight and professionalism in the management makes me reluctant to revisit this venue despite its decent infrastructure.

It's awesome. I like it because it's like a theater type of form. And seeing the concert is pretty cool

My family and I took the trip to see The Illusionists the night before our daughter's birthday.. the way the performing arts handled the venue was the absolute best. We were seated appropriately and at a timely manner. Seeing The Illusionists at the highest orchestra seating was amazing! We didn't know we would be seated that high but due to our tickets it was the best view above all. It was an amazing show and the best place to have seen it!! Thank you Performing Arts for the best time. The Martinez Fam ♡

The venue is perfectly small. There is no bad seat in the house. It is well set up and acoustically sound. Definitely worth catching a performance here.

We attended A Touch of Frost on 12-1-23 featuring the Valley Symphony Chorale! Wow! What a performance! We enjoyed our experience at the McAllen Performing Arts Center from beginning to end. They were able to move the large crowd quickly and efficiently. I will definitely return for future events.

I've visited this venue several times and have had the chance to see performance from the very front row and the very last one above, and the view is just great wherever you sit. If the crowd will be standing, know that if you're short and sitting in the orchestra section near the scenario, it will turn out unpleasant because everyone is almost at the same viewing level. Ok... let's move on. A seat in the Parterre section, and right behind the control console, is great! No one is in front of you and you can even take a peak at the playlist of the show and ask the technician if they can give it to you as a souvenir at the end of the concert... that's what I've witnessed, though. If you sit in the Mezzanine, trust me, the view is fairly good. Maybe if the show has lighs that will go all over the place, you won't see much of your performer but is very decent since there are no screens at all to support the view. Either way, like I said, wherever you get tickets, you'll enjoy a great show. The grand terrace sends you all the way up and above, by looking up I felt a bit of vertigo, once I got to my seat, the view was great and the crowd that day was lit. So, the party can be taken anywhere in this venue and have lots of fun. Kany Garcia's photos were taken from the Orchestra section. Siddartha's from the Parterre. Cristela Alonso (1 person under purple light) from Mezzanine. And I owe you the Grand Terrace view since I'm sure I've taken some photos from there but can't find any. Also, technology changes a lot and very fast these days so the newer phones can take amazing photos too. Have fun!

Wish I could rate higher. Late start with no applogy or explanation was a poor start after strange security scan upon entry. Spilled fruity drink be another patron also unpleasant. Orchestra performance was lovely, chorale was good but a smile here or there would have shown the singers were enjoying themselves..

Very nice place. If you haven't seen a performance here, I definitely recommend it. Keep it clean, though, or at least let staff know there is a mess.
