While I did enjoy my dinner with the Greyhound inn, I must admit I noticed that the manager of the building spent an inordinate amount of time berating and belittling his staff members in what I’m sure he believed was behind the scenes. In regards to the staff they were polite, kind and quick to help us with anything we needed. In a world that seems to not be able to hold on to favorable staff it boggles my mind that the owners would retain someone who would seem to drive away or at least make harder the jobs of the people below them. I’m glad that I was not the one who paid for my meal as I believe I would have left and found somewhere where I didn’t have to listen to a middle aged man having an ego trip at a bunch of twenty something’s.

Dont know about rooms as only went in the bar, but the bar area was lovely and clean and tidy and also the ladies toilets. Arrived just as the kitchen was closing but the cook/chef still said they would do us a meal, we decided just to have cheesy chips and garlic bread, they came out quickly and really hot, they were lovely. The staff was helpful and didn't mind asking the kitchen if they would mind cooking. The beer was good and I had a lovely coffee which was also lovely and hot. The pub is dog friendly, there is really nice seating area outside (some covered) the village looked very picturesque ( it was raining so couldn't have a wander around it) we would go there again if passing that way.

Excellent meal with great service. A slightly higher price than you may pay for food elsewhere but definitely worth every penny. Roast beef on Sunday is highly recommended and portions are very generous. Sensible prices for a decent glass of wine too.

We really enjoyed our meal at this lovely pub. Mid priced gastropub set in a pretty village. They had a singer/pianist who was good. Bit of a drive from our home but worth it. I liked the beer on tap. Wine priced relatively.
