Went here our first night in the Isle Of Man it is near the end of the promenade with plenty of parking outside. Starters are around £7 the southern fried chicken strips were nice with sweet chilli dip but quite salty. They have pie of the day which was steak and ale the meat was nice and soft, the hand cut chips a bit to much on the chunky side though. The arrabbiata I had with chicken which was £12.95 and very nice I would have liked some pepper on it but the pepper was empty and the waitress was no where to be seen. The bottle of Shiraz was perfect and the indie music in the background was very much to my liking. All in all a good place to go and worth checking out.

I've edited this and changed the rating to 5 stars as I've returned and just eaten. The food is home cooked, fantastic quality. Just had the chicken parmigiana and home cooked chips. Pops had the fish ( huge ) in perfect batter. Top notch food, too notch staff. Friendly staff, lovely location and a decent pint to top it off

Friendly staff and customers, good range of food and drinks. The open fire was a welcome addition and then view from the front of the sunset was wonderful.

Situated next to the MER and horse tram stops. The staff is friendly and helpful. Food was great with good service. Inside and outside seating with toilets inside. Serves drinks during the day then food from 5pm. Can get very busy so worth ringing or calling ahead and reserve a table.

Friendly staff. We had an issue as we had been given the wrong information about food started at 5 pm on a Monday. So we had been there since 4 waiting for food and having a few drinks Unfortunately no food was being served. I spoke to Jack the manager and he was so apologetic of his staff giving us the wrong information. They did the decent thing paid for our taxi to a restaurant and paid for out last round of drinks . Menu looked good just check that food is being served. Yes would go back . Location good as trams go past and on the sea front

A stones throw from the end of the electric trams start/finish so an Ideal place to start/finish your electric day. Serving both inside and outside, a wide range of alcohol, tea, coffee. Really nice staff, lots of tables in and out. Very nice food, good sized portions, you won't go hungry. Very nice atmosphere and ideal as a finish to your day exploring the Island

A pretty decent pub that serves food that is right by the Manx Electric Railway station. Well decorated inside and kept clean/tidy. The prices are very decent and the drinks that we had well kept. Very helpful and friendly staff behind the bar and an excellent pint of Guiness. What more could you ask for while waiting for a train. The place is pretty wheelchair friendly plus has tables both inside and out.

Lovely location, polite and friendly staff and Okells Ale at the same price as elsewhere. Delightful garden with some shade. Dog / bike and walker friendly... A great place to wait for the next train 👌

Nice place to stop when using horse tram and electric rail as its between the 2 start/end points. Staff seem nice and place looks great. No food served at times I visited (twice). Prices reflex location

Great place for good beer food looked great but we didn't eat here. Only because hotel provided meals. Excellent location and friendly staff

It isn't that the food was bad. It was indeed tasty. It's more that the majority of choices are over all not exactly healthy. In that area it's rather limited. If you like fried foods, Pasta, burgers n fries etc. Then you'll love it here. If your a diabetic maybe not so much. The atmosphere has changed. They are really doing alot to remodel and inside is looking very nice. The waitresses were all very friendly and on it.

We were a family of 4 adults on holiday to the island. we all agreed that we had all enjoyed our meals. We arrived just as they were finishing cooking for the lunchtime but they were very kind and catered for us. The meal was of a good size and felt it was value for money. If I was to visit the island again I would return to this pub for another meal.

This was a great stop… we went back a second time because we loved the food and atmosphere. The kitchen doesn’t hold the same hours as the tavern though, and the kitchen hours aren’t posted anywhere we found see… so check ahead if you want food!!

Called in for a drink after a day sightseeing with our dog. Booked a table for dinner that night with family before we left on the boat to Heysham that night. Landlady was most helpful snd accommodating, our Border Collie was made welcome with his own bowl of water and lay at our feet patiently waiting for us to finish. Food came quickly and was delicious. Prices reasonable. What's not to like. My wife used to go there as a teenager back in the day so good for her to soak up a little nostalgia. We'll be back next time we're over. X

Nice place for a drink. It does get busy with lunchtime crowds. It's busy even in winter without the tram running

Got chatting to Jen the new Landlady who has only been there 2 weeks!! Made us feel very welcome. Going in again today to meet friends for lunch

Great relaxed atmosphere very helpful and friendly staff good selection of beers and spirits. Food looked excellent although we only called quite a few times for drinks.

Lovely pub, good atmosphere, great staff, lovely to sit outside with sea view and watch the electric railway and horse tram go back and forth. Lovely food, highly recommend the fish finger sandwich

Great place, the food is lovely and there's a good variety. Service is very good, we always visit at least once a week when we're on the island

Great little pub on the promenade. A quieter section of the seafront makes it ideal for sitting outside and enjoying a drink or food. The menu is a greatest hits of pub classics and was very nice. Great range of beers on tap too

Food was good but the four young staff are all in need of training the service or lack of it really let you down. Before all the renovations , the previous owners gave fabulous food and service and the pub was always full especially for food. Looking at the number of guests I believe I am not the only one who felt let down. In definite need of adult supervision and training.

The beer is fine. The location fine. And the food looked fine from the menu. However they don't serve food on a Monday. Which is not what we were told. having complained about this we were refunded a round of drinks and given a complimentary taxi to a restaurant of our choice. Can't say fairer than that. Thanks. Still would have been nice to have eaten there. Menu looked good. Was looking forward to bangers and mash.

Never had a bad meal here. Perfect Sunday afternoon spot for some food and a game of pool. Good selection of beers on tap too.

Great place to watch world go by just right at the electric tram station and bus stops also. Good selection of cask ales, serves food menu looked good but we already booked that day for another venue. Inside very cosy good service spotless toilets, good outside seating, large umbrella s with heaters.

Decent food, good pints, nice and clean, service a bit slow and seemed unsure. Good pub though, we'll be back
