The public areas are air conditioned, comfortable and very well furnished. The hotel is well staffed with smart, efficient and friendly people. The food in the restaurant is superb. We booked a sea view room which was extremely spacious, 2 leather armchairs and a table in the bay window with a magnificent view across the bay. The room was well decorated and clean with a huge, modern en-suite. We visited during a very hot week and the room got very hot despite the fan provided (no air con in the rooms). The bed was very comfortable. Friends staying in standard rooms stated that they were much smaller and hotter.

28 November 2023 in a Business Class Double Room... I wouldn't go any smaller if I'm honest. Room 317. First time staying here for business. Nice place and staff are really helpful and friendly. Room was nice and just about big enough for 2 nights for me. Bed is comfy, king size memory foam with lovely pillows. Toiletries, bathrobe and slippers with desk, lots of plug sockets and a Nespresso coffee machine. Bath and huge shower with good pressure, large TV. Around the corner from the high street and ferry terminal, facing promenade so great location. Evening turndown is cute, you get chocolates, slippers and tv remote set out on your bed and card about weather tomorrow. Breakfast, choice of continental and cooked to order like Eggs Royale, benedict etc. Overall i would stay again.. The only thing i found was it was very noisy in the morning with rooms next door coming and going. The glazing and doors aren't sound proof so i could hear the strong winds and felt a draught at the bottom of the door, although heating was very good in the room and heated towel rail too. Glazing could do with replacing as it's not airtight.

My friends and I love to chill and drink here. I'm so glad the young lady (think she's a manager) is back as I miss the standards of some of the waiting staff who have left. It really is a great place to have a drink on the sofas and chill and chat with friends.

Hospitality is really awesome. I loved it. The rent is little higher. The lift capacity is very less.

Stated free parking! No... parking is on the road and limited to 2 hours. So you have to watch the time and move on. After 6pm you are OK until 8am after this it's back to 2 hour limit. This spoilt things for us. Apart from that the location was good.

This is my go to hotel in IOM. It’s very close to the Ferry terminal and they looked after my road bike overnight. ( Push Bike to avoid confusion with motor bikes) Always helpful and always amenable to assist. Good value. Thanks again for facilitating another trip to the Island.

Standard rooms have obscured frosted windows which I found very claustrophobic. You can move room for a bigger fee so I paid an extra £80 on top of £134. Room very nice position but smells a bit fusty (think the bathroom a bit smelly). Opened window and shut bathroom door with fan and smell abated. Dinner in ‘coast’, their restaurant, was delicious - just fish and chips but very well cooked and nice window seat. Nice chocolates on pillow at night.

Always enjoy my stay here. Rooms are great, a good size, very clean, everything works and a great view of the prom if you have a room on the front. The in house restaurant is fantastic.

Super hotel, quite difficult to get a table as it's always pretty busy. Wide range of whiskey and excellent cocktails well worth a visit. Very friendly staff. Called again on our visit in 2023 each night for a nightcap the hotel was still as slick as ever. Well worth a visit.

Came here as a result of Easyjet cancellation. Despite having clear confirmation of my booking the person at the desk had "run out" of the 8 rooms booked by Easyjet, so I had to pay for my room. Eventually got my money back due to being able to convince morning staff to contact Easyjet to sort it out. Not a very welcoming situation.

Lovely stay, very helpful staff, good service. Rooms at the back suffer from seagull noise in the morning, so if you have open windows you are in for some raucous noise in the morning.

Excellent service from the moment we booked nearly three years ago (interrupted by COVID) and staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Room was massive with all the little extras topped up twice daily. All staff so friendly and polite but special mention to Michelle in restaurant who was very attentive and missed nothing without being intrusive - a very good ambassador for the hotel. Wonderful stay and already planning another visit for 2023.

We didn't stay at the Claremont, we went for a chilled mid afternoon catch up, it has a lovely atmosphere good cocktails and a quiet ambiance, have spent many afternoons in there with friends I couldn't think of more relaxed place to spend time in

I visited this hotel for a breakfast treat. The food was lovely and served hot. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. My partner and I really enjoyed it and will be going again and found it was good value for options on food and service.. Can highly recommend it.

The staff were absolutely amazing. The rooms were clean but did not have any USB charging points. The shower on the 3rd floor kept running cool then warm and at one point stopped working for a short while, we were told that this was due to a lot of people running water at the same time. The food was lovely. One drawback is the location, being close to the town centre there was a lot of noise on both Friday and Saturday nights going into the early hours of the mornings.

nothing - had to cancel; no cancel booking, ok I accept that; but said you can make 'one change' hahaha I tried multiple dates over 4 months; every one declined. i then reached out to Claremont, 'John', extremely, ie. zero sympathy, ie. I'll charge you for your full stay. My strong recommendation is AVOID THIS HOTEL.

I arrived in Douglas after a long trip from the USA, open the door to my hotel room and found a frosted window with a depressing view of the wall next door. It was apparently a standard room at £150/night. The room was of average size, clean and a nice modern bath. But the completely lack of a view made it gloomy. I asked for another room with any kind of view and was politely told they weren’t available and would be €100 more anyway. What a disappointment.
