Long story short : if youā€™re looking for a place that wonā€™t care about your mental health, this would be the place! I was in a psychiatrist hospital for about a week. Once discharged they set appointments for a counselor and psychiatrist. I was seen by Jennifer Brown ONCE, she was super sweet, even helped me pick the right birth control. After about a month I called in because the meds were making me tank mentally. They said that my appointment in 3 weeks is the soonest they could get me in but they will call me later that week but I could do a phone consultation. I called a week before my appointment and they said I will just have to wait. The day of my appointment I called an hour to two before to confirm the time and she said I can do a phone consultation (funny since they said weeks prior that I wouldnā€™t be able to). A couple hours pass and I never got a phone call. I called in to make sure I was still good for the phone consultation. She informed me that I was marked as absent. I asked why and what phone number they called because it wasnā€™t mine. She ended up calling my dad (not sure why when I put my number on the paperwork and called in MULTIPLE time prior to the appointment) that was in the hospital with covid pneumonia. She said I wouldnā€™t be able to get in for another 6 months. I felt so defeated and upset that a mental health facility would treat patients with severe depression with such poor attitudes. I ended up hanging up because I couldnā€™t speak from crying so hard. My mom called them to try and clear things up on my part since I was unable to speak while having a panic attack. The receptionist called my mom a couple rude names. A couple weeks later I get a letter saying I can no longer be a patient with them for HARASSMENT!!! Itā€™s sad that they could care less if their mistake ends a persons life. If I was the owner, Iā€™d work on my management skills and see that the receptionist needs to go if sheā€™s willing to risk peoples lives. I wouldnā€™t recommend to my worst enemy.

This office has great psychiatrists, but the woman in charge of the front desk should be fired. A month ago, I had a problem with the time of my scheduled appointment due to a mandatory meeting at work. I called to reschedule and was told nothing was available. She said I had to make the appointment or not get my medication. I said it seems your putting my health at risk because you are you so busy. She said no, ā€œyou are putting your health at risk.ā€ I said, ā€œfineā€ and hung up. I risked my job and showed up at my appointment only to be told it had been canceled, but because I showed up, I would get my meds. My psychiatrist then called for a phone appointment and reset my medication refills. Last week I called because I had just received my last refill on meds. I called to schedule an appointment, since the did not schedule one for me at my last canceled visit. She says there was no availability. I asked for a different psychiatrist so I could at least see someone. She said no one was available. I again said, so your putting my heath at risk of me running out of medication because your office is too busy for me. She said againā€™ ā€œ You are putting your health at risk. I was so angry, I said, F*** you and hung up. I week later I get a letter saying I could no longer be seen at the clinic due to harassment. This woman clearly puts peoplesā€™ lives at risk because of her attitude, POOR customer service and lack of and empathy. There was no, I could ask the psychiatrist for a phone appointment.. let me see the soonest I can get you inā€¦ NOTHING! I wonder how many lives sheā€™s put at risk. What is this clinics suicide rate? If they are all psychiatrists who have no time for patients, how do they get new clients? I guess they wait until they upset someone like me and they get a letter, someone finds a new psychiatrist, or they die. I did speak to another psychiatrist office and a licensed therapist and they both said that woman was extremely unprofessional, has been given too much power, and should have been fired the first time if I had reported it. They both encouraged me to write this review. The only reason they get two stars is because of my past psychiatrist. She was amazing, listened, was thorough, empathetic, understanding, and amazing. Now I cannot see her again due to a POOR font desk assistant who needs to be fired.

Wow... never felt so uncared for by a Dr in my life. I have never been late to an appointment here and today I call, in advance, to say I was a little behind. I was told if I wasn't there in 5 mins from the start time the appt would be canceled (and i'd be charged a cancellation fee). I stayed on the phone with the office and arrived 2 mins later (7 mins late) hoping they'd show me leniency, as it was my first time. They didn't... I offered to overpay or anything to make it work, as I understand time is money (as i, too, am a working professional). The office attendant went into the next room over to talk to my Dr who "was already assisting other patients" (to see if she would be willing to take an overpayment to still see me). She told her to tell me no and like pep talked her to be confident and not intimidated by me (I am not intimidating, nor was I trying to be). And in no way hiding the fact that she was not with any other patient, she just refused to help me to prove a point. Talk about mind games. Then was not able to give me an extension on my meds till I saw her again, and her soonest appt is 4 months away. There were red flags about a year ago when i first started coming here, I overheard them reading a patients negative review of them and laughing about it and making fun of the person. My fault, that should have been my sign not to give this company my business. You live and learn I guess. I would urge any prospective patients to not work with this company. And if anyone in the office is reading this and laughing and making fun of me, like I know you do, that's fine. Think of me what you will. But maybe take a moment to step away from the "groupthink" mentality and reevaluate if you really want to be a part of a group that lacks compassion for those they are supposed to be helping? Do you really want to be a part of that, what does that say about your person? Do better white oak, and Dr. Brown, do better!

I have been going there for several years. I have also had three different doctors. Never had a problem with appointments until Wednesday, Dec. 1st. Was about 7-10 minutes late and Jennifer Brown marked me as a :NO SHOW and would not see me after 6 minutes. They told me that is policy and I have never heard that in all of the years I have been going there. Plus there have been many times I have had to wait for my doctor!!!! The girls at the front desk have always been RUDE!!!! They have no compassion, not nice, and should not be in that position for being a psychiatrist office. You need nice, caring professional staff to greet and help patients. I asked receptionist to call back and see if I could be seen, she insisted and kept saying NO. I needed my medicine refilled and sent a message back to Dr. Brown. Had to call the next day bc that didn't happen!!! Finally she called in my medicine refills after 3 days and I had to pay $25.00! Well to sum this up, a nasty message was left on my voicemail about possibly finding another Doctor to see. FINALLY, I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO RUDELY BY ANY OF MY OTHER DOCTOR'S OFFICES, THEY NEVER TOLD ME AND IT IS NOT POSTED THAT YOU ARE CANCELLED AS A NO SHOW AFTER 6 MINUTES AND THEN LET A NASTY MESSAGE TO FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR! NEVER GOING BACK! SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND INAPPROPRIATE! YOU MAY WANT TO POST SOMETHING ABOUT BEING CANCELLED AFTER 6 MINUTES!~!!!!!!! NEVER TOLD THAT IS A POLICY!!!! AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!

Covid sucks winter is coming and almost everyone feels bad. Remember folks these guys and gals here are Psychiatrists not your therapist. If you treat your doctor very nicely as well as their staff you will have no issue with this doctors office. Dr. Jennifer Brown has been great for me as well as very reliable. I have seen others complaining on here but if your a big wreck, lashing out, all angry and hostile donā€™t be surprised one second if you get dropped or let go as a client/patient. Rude & aggressive behavior is certainly not tolerated and I personally couldnā€™t agree more. Please be kind to your physician & staffing they deal with a lot more headaches than anyone of us know. A little patience, kindness and politeness goes a long way with your health care providers.

If you want to feel like you are a human being do not see Dr Jennifer Brown. She is a very demeaning provider. This is absolutely the worst place I have ever received care. This office offers stigma towards mental illness and treats patients as everyone is the same. I am a wonderful person that struggles with mental illness but to Jennifer Brown I was another ā€œcrazyā€. Do yourself a favor and find a different office. I will be reporting her to board of health.

Yes, my care from Jennifer Brown for a few years now was going just fine. Until today 07/26/2023, I had called in a couple of weeks ago about a mishap on the original Rx from the pharmacy. What should have been a 90 day supply was only a month, so once I was able to refill it for the 90 days, but now the Rx was off by the month. Insurance wouldnā€™t pay unless it was a 90 day supply. Thatā€™s when I called Jennifer Brown, I donā€™t respect her enough to call her a Dr. The two times I called the office, they told me Jennifer would not ok the refill since I had enough for the 180 on the Rx. I spent most of 20 minutes of todays visit trying my best to get her to emphasize and realize ā€œsomethingā€ that might click. Never did. I told her I felt as though she wasnā€™t servicing me with the level I expect. She instantly said, ā€œWell, I guess weā€™re done here. We went our own ways. Honestly, it was a relief. Sheā€™s LOUD and obnoxious. She has no volume control. She does have a power complex. Which explains hastened decisions over the last few weeks. Thereā€™s a reason why her name is throughout these reviews. Please heed. William Stutzman

ZERO stars. Jennifer brown is not a doctor. She is a nurse practitioner who is discriminative and unprofessional. Fired from rediscover. She makes life harder and that should say ALOT about a mental health professional. They have a phone line that doesnā€™t work half the time. And it is near impossible to contact any health ā€œprofessionalā€ there besides a receptionist. Do not waste your time

I have been seeing Jennifer Brown over 3 years now and she has been my biggest cheerleader. She has helped through some really dark times and has always been there to help me remember that I am bigger than anything else. I've seen the negative reviews and honestly, I'm dumbfounded. The office has always been courteous and Jennifer herself has been a lifesaver. I don't know where I'd be without them.

I see Dr.Jennifer Brown, she has been compassionate and very caring to my needs. After seeing the same doctor for 30 yrs. and switching to another psychiatrist she has been a 5 star doctor, assisting me through difficult times! She has an amazing demeanor and I always leave the office a better person!! Highly recommend!!!

This practice is great. I am always able to easily schedule an appointment, and medication refills are as easy as leaving a message with reception and getting a call back from the doctor or office manager later. I've seen Dr. Michael Williams for many years, and there hasn't been a single time I have been upset about the care I receive. Also, I, personally, have never had a problem with reception. I have seen several different front desk people over the years and they have been nothing but kind and helpful.

Your mental health is a joke to them. This place does not care about you. They will kick you out the door the second they get a chance. Counseling was so bland and unhelpful. And psychiatrist, Jennifer Brown, is a absolute B-I-T-C-H. Better not get on there bad side. However that may be, they seem to have a short fuse. Because they'll not longer schedule you.

I see Jennifer Brown and she has been WONDERFUL to work with! She is super sweet, compassionate and caring. I feel listened to and she treats me like a human and not just a set of symptoms. She picked meds for me that do wonders! I personally would highly recommend her!

20 minutes past my appointment time and I finally get called back by Chris. I asked why I was having to wait 20 minutes past my appointment time and he said that sometimes things happen in this field that require longer wait times. He had no prior appointment before me. So what took so long? He then ended the appointment because we got started off on the wrong foot (his exact words). Now I have to look for a different therapist after waiting a long time for this appointment. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

Really bad system for discharging. I was late by 4 minutes in February and 5 minutes late today, and now I can't get a refill of my medication or (as it was explained to me) swap providers at this location. Dr. Brown also seemed like she just wanted to get you through the door and nothing felt very personalized.

Review folllow up: Iā€™m a natural empath so this is easy for me. I know we all have not healed from _____. But the guys/gals staffing are 10x busies than before. Everyone, if you gong to leave a bad review as yourself if youā€™re really helping. Jennifer Brown has improved the quality of my life and gave me back my most precious possession which is restfully sleeping. Be kind to the staff, show some love and they will reciprocate.

I have utilized the services provided at white oak psychiatric services since approximately February of 2023. During my time here, I have found many positive things, and a few things that could use some improvement. I currently see Dr. Mirza, MD and Chris Moon, LPC. Notable staff members include Kelly, and Maddie who both work in the front office, and have both been abundantly helpful, friendly, courteous and kind to me as well as my family and visitors. Dr. Mirza on the outside seems a bit tough, but I have come to find once you have built some repour with him, he is a wonderful MD with a ton of knowledge, background, and resources. He does get rushed a little bit, and flustered with paperwork so I wish that this was something that he could potentially have an assistant or one of the front office staff help with (as Kelly has helped me with this in the past) but overall general interaction(s) were positive with him. Chris has been bubbly since day one, and seems to be both empathetic and understanding. He does take a little bit of time to get his records together so don't plan on having them for a few weeks if your OCD like myself and want to have the prior office notes availible on your next visit. The most important things to note about Chris is he listens, empathizes, and helps to keep you on track to accomplishing whatever goals you may have set. I know when I go in there is a lot of times I am very scattered, and he helps realign my focus and bring me back to center (although I feel like there are other subjects we need to discuss at some point or that maybe we need to discuss on how to make progress.) I also can not stress enough the benefit of Kelly and Maddie in the paperwork process, as they have made it a breeze for me to get what I need and ensure the mds have what they need. They are always courtieous kind and respectful and I cant say enough good things about these two ladies! Lastly the only other downfall I see is it is a private practice, so the phones do take a little bit to get through on, but they really do try to squeeze you in if your needing something urgently or for whatever it is your needing (always letting me know updates, next availibles etc.) The 2 main things I think need to be worked on here is the phone being answered consistently and in a timely manner (even if they need to hire a 3rd party service) as when your in crisis most people can not wait, and 2nd I think it would be great to have a point person for paperwork and that works with companies, etc to ensure that its completed in a timely manner and doesn't stress out the doctors as much (as I never seem to have enough time to get this done with him). They should also consider working with insurance to get this part covered as right now any paperwork even if you've met your MOOP they still charge for which I have never experienced with any other provider. Overall very kind efficient and effective, I would give all the staff I have worked with a A - B rating soley based on the 3 issues that I think could be worked on, but the responsibility for those lye with the company not the individuals, and you can tell that the Front desk is doing all that they can, and the MD's are just overwhelmed with back to back appointments so they don't have an extra 5 min to fill out paperwork or to even finish typing up notes from your session which I think could improve the overall experience.

Absolutely love my doctor, Jennifer Brown, I have been seeing her for before she even came to this building. However, the reception definitely needs some work! Tried calling to make an appointment and ask questions about medication and their way they speak to their clients is NOT great. Please get some new people with people skills or get the current girls, Tara specifically, into some workshops or programs so she knows how to speak to people who suffer from mental health issues. Yikes. šŸ˜¬šŸ˜¬

My son has seen the psychiatrist a few times, once she realized his illness is not controlled with the medications she prescribed, she decided to give up on my son and dismiss him from her practice! What is the point of being a psychiatrist.. that does not try other prescriptions in order to find the correct ones that will help the client? You know full well that not all medications helps each patient the same as if they are cooks cutter! Or what, do you get paid to prescribe only the meds you do?! What was the point of so many years of schooling for you not to try to help your patients how they need help?! Why go to school if not try to help your patients reach their mental health stability!!!! But since he is not easy money and you have to work for it, you get rid of them! They are NOT puppets!! These are people that have loved ones watching them struggle to find the correct medication!!! If my son takes his life because of his mental health issues, it will be in your hands!!

This place does not care about their patients well being. First they quit taking my Medicare because it didn't pay enough, therefore wanted me to pay $100. for my appointment. When I called to get a refill I was told a refill request costs $50. They are in it for the money and don't care about your mental heath. I would highly recommend that you don't waste your time here, especially with Dr. Jennifer Brown!!

My son who was struggling with mental health made an appointment months ago. His appointment was at 2:15. We arrived at 2:05 and he walked up to the two glass doors with two females sitting behind the desk. Neither attempted to open their window or speak to him. We had never been here and read a sign on the window that states if you have not been called 5 minutes after your appointment to notify the front desk. At 2:22 I told him to notify them and he did. After him standing there for minutes before they decided to open the window they asked if he checked in. He said I read the sign. One of the girls rudely said you always check in first. Everyone knows that. Well if youā€™ve ever been to therapy you know that isnā€™t true. Horrible customer service. We were notified that the Dr Brown cancelled his appointment at 2:22 for not checking in. If you need mental help this is not the place.

Was looking to get back into therapy but with the most recent review about the front deskā€¦ I will be looking for new office to get help from. Its really alarming how people in a ā€œmental healthā€ field would be so comfortable talking about a patient who is coming to get help. Yā€™all need a reality check and need to be humbled. God donā€™t like ugly.

I was previously a patient of theirs but stopped going in 2019. Thought I would give them another try. However, due to lack of finances I cancelled my appoint when THEIR office called me twice the day before to confirm/cancel along with an email that showed my appointment was cancelled. This is well before the 24 hour cancellation fee, not that I had signed one of those yet. I was still billed and have not gotten a phone call back from billing or the office manager.

Do not see this provider unless you want your private information to be discussed at the front desk. My husband was seeing this office and when at his last visit he was in the lobby and heard the front desk loudly talking about a patient while using their name and making fun of their diagnosis after they left. My husband explained to his provider that he didnā€™t feel comfortable coming back with the front desk behaving that way toward patients. We didnā€™t report any HIPAA violations or write a review at the time because he was hopeful that would be addressed and he could come back in the future to continue care with his doctor. That is not the case as now they will not schedule him. Working in healthcare I would be grateful that a patient would be honest and let me know what is going on at the front to prevent this from ever happening again. Apparently not at this practice.

I went to White Oak Psychiatry for like 5 yrs. I saw Dr. Williams every time. He's absolutely amazing! I went through my pregnancy and a surgery while on my meds. He took very good care of me. I had really started not to trust Doctors anymore bc of past experiences. He made me regain my hope and trust in them again. I've went into his office on cloud 9, completely stressed out, exhausted, and even a crying mess. He was always caring and compassionate but he also held me accountable. I had a mess up on my part and while he was firm... He was proffesional and trusted me and believed me on my version of events i had to explain bc of the situation. I wish i was still going there but i moved to another state and i cant find a doctor now so im freaking out. All of his, staff have been friendly except 1 front desk lady whos no longer tbefe anymore. I love the two front desk ladies bc they're always helpful, professional, kind, and easy to talk to. I will say that after the move bc i lost my job and insurance my meds were almost $600 for 2! When i called to get the necessary PA form for medicaid to back pay me the front desk manager, Alex, said that hes got a stack of them, mine is at the bottom, and he'll get it done in about a week. Ive been w/o a job for 2 months and awaiting a BG check to come back to start my new job so that almost $600 would help me out dramatically right now! I had to pay cash bc i picked it up the day before my medicaid was approved. So my luck! Then they neexed the PA form. Ive been waiting on that for about two wks now. How long does it take? Idk but i think someone thsts a manager should be able stay on top of the necessary paperwork for clients. Especially ones that have spent thousands of dollars over the yrs to see them and while i do owe them money nc i lost my job and before that i lrft my debit card at home but ive always stayed on top of bill and kept it current until then. I fully intend on psying them as soon as i get back to work as well! SEE DOCTOR WILLIAMS AND YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED! THE OFFICE STAFF HAS CHANGED OVER THE YEARS AND IS NOW ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL AND HAS BEEN FOR A YEAR OR TWO!

Dr. Williams is by far the best head doctors I've ever had. He's professional yet he listens to me. I trust my mental health to him completely.
