Great concept and real nice folks. The food was salty and lack luster. Manna burger was the best tasting but the patty was very soft it almost falls apart in the bun. The sprouts make the burger healthy but no special sauce or onions to mark it special. The schnitzel was not too oily. A piece of breaded and pan fried gluten. The cranberry sauce from can was good. The potato salad swimming in mustardy eggy sauce was not too bad. The Buffalo cauliflower bites were heavily breaded but ok. The poutine was such an odd dish with not so fried waffle fries in a gravy that tastes like it came from a jar. The red velvet cake was moist. Didn’t taste like red velvet but it was red. It was quite disappointing first (it will the only) experience for us. We have tried so many other vegan shops that hit the spot. This one just missed the mark.

Server was new so still learning menu and how to work coffee machine but the food was delicious!!! We ordered Impossible burger with sweet potatoe fries and a schnitzel platter with german potatoe salad. For dessert we had the carrot cake. I would highly recommend this restaurant. All the plant based foods were delicious!!

A really delightful dining experience. It's a unique place with excellent plant based cuisine. The service was excellent and the prices are fair.

We have been Vegans/Plant Based for 4 years and it is great to see restaurants popping up with the same mission. Great menu choices and we enjoyed a little Asian flare.

Swung by this place on the way to a concert. Got the fried chicken, garlic fries, the Mac and Cheese, and a piece of red velvet cake. Food: The fried chicken was an absolute dream. 10/10. We did find a piece of hair fried into the chicken and the server was kind enough to comp that without asking. Very kind of him. The garlic fries were mediocre. Many were very soft, some were very crunchy, not hot when brought to the table. The Mac & Cheese was bland and lacked much flavor or uniqueness. Also found a similar small hair in the Mac and Cheese but didn't mention it because we felt bad enough about the chicken. The mushrooms on it were a nice touch of saltiness but not enough to save the dish. Red velvet cake definitely tasted like the end of the day and similar to what I'd expect from making it out of a box. The service and friendliness of the staff was great and handled the hair in the chicken with kindness and professionalism. Food - 2 stars Service - 5 stars

Manna Kitchen is so good! Definitely a great find for vegans and omnivores alike. There are new specials every day, and there is great variety and creativity in the menu. The food is A+! It tastes and feels like soulful homemade cooking, with a multitude of cultural influences. The environment is open and cozy- lots of space and clean bathrooms as well. A great spot for people who want a chill vibe with homemade food and nice workers. We will be back!

Everything was perfect. Food was ready right on time. My wife (who unfortunately is not vegan!) was very happy with the Beyond Burger and fries. The soul bowl was flavorful and the sauces were delicious. To top it off, the carrot cake was rich and had great flavor as well. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

Manna Kitchen is delicious! I stopped by while in the area and had lunch. Buffalo cauliflower, Panang curry and red velvet cake were all excellent. My only disappointment was that I couldn't finish it all! They have a nice selection of drinks in the fridge and plenty of sweet treats to choose from. Marcus and his wife run the business and are extremely accommodating in making your visit a great one! There is free parking out front, fresh free water available and plenty of seating to accommodate any size group. Food was served in an efficient time too!

I visited on Tuesday, and ordered the Soul Bowl, Carrot Cake, Sweet Chili Cauliflower Wings, and Tower Burger. When I tell you this food was so good, please believe me! I will be returning. Great atmosphere and the staff are so welcoming and warm. Fall seasons gonna bring me back more often! Grateful for this place as I’m trying to eat more healthier!

I’ve gone to Manna Kitchen since it first opened in 2019 and it honestly keeps getting better every trip. I always get their cauliflower wings that come in multiple flavors! On this trip, I got the BBQ chicken sandwich is legit AMAZING. My mom also got it for second time with me and she loves it and isn’t even vegan! Dad also enjoyed it and he eats meat! It comes drenched in a delicious BBQ sauce, it’s crunchy on outside and tender when you bite and comes with pickles, ranch and coleslaw. Added fries to make it a combo for just around $16. Got the Carrot cake to go and it did not disappoint. Their cakes always are on point and the same was true on this occasion. While the price point is higher for their options, their portions are HUGE and definitely well worth it. Lastly, Josh’s service was phenomenal. He is friendly, kind and did a great job checking in with us and provided great recommendations. So happy Manna is in the western suburbs!

"Say what? A delicious plant-based restaurant in the Western 'burbs? Why am I just hearing about this?" Those were my thoughts as I looked up a place for us to go after an amazing day at the Arboretum. My partner and I have been visiting several vegan places in the city and suburbs over the past six months and Manna certainly didn't disappoint! Very friendly service, and delicious food in a cool environment - I had the Club and she had the Grain Bowl, both of which were incredibly tasty. The only constructive feedback would be for the Club sandwich to come with fries - given the price - or raise it a dollar and throw some fries on there. Regardless, we'll be back next time with the kids....

I just took my family there for brunch and everything was amazing! The apple fritter was easily the best fritter I've ever had, served hot with ooey gooey glaze slathered all over it and candied apple slices inside. The French toast was another huge hit with everybody. It was perfectly crispy, the bread they used was a really nice change without making it something else and I completely forgot the butter wasn't actual butter until it was all gone. The breakfast burrito had savory "egg scrambles" and potatoes that went great with the lettuce and tomato for a fresh taste but the house made salsa tied all the flavors together in delicious harmony. We'll be back soon

Manna Kitchen is a complete gem. Unassuming exterior with an eclectic selection of fully vegan COMFORT FOOD. Not a bad item on the menu. Without a doubt the best vegan fried chicken I’ve had in my entire life. Overwhelmingly kind and friendly staff, prompt service, and tasty food. Will win over your non-vegan friends.

I really enjoyed Manna Kitchen! I love cauliflower wings and the ones they make are especially delicious, one of the best I've had anywhere. The Marsala "Egg" Fries were crispy and very tasty. I also ordered the Soul Bowl, which was delicious and very filling. I visit the area often when I'm in town, and it's so nice to know there's a great plant-based restaurant around!

2/22/24 update When I walked in around 12:40 pm, I was astonished to see it empty. I was greeted right away, that’s a plus in my book. I chose the seitan chorizo tacos along with garlic parmesan fries as my side. I ordered a Mexican chocolate for dessert. They also have free water in the corner with enormous size cups. As you can see from my pictures, they have adequate seating. I’ve been to some places where there are only a few tables, but this place has more than a few. Service was fantastic, the employee asked how my meal was and was very attentive. Overall, it was a great improvement from my last visit. As for the prices, they are actually pretty standard for vegan food. I’ve been to Denver, where I ate a variety of vegan food and desserts. The prices were about the same range. I’m not vegan but my palate is eclectic. -Seitan chorizo 5/5 - I really liked the corn tortillas, they didn’t crumble apart. The seitan chorizo tasted like the real chorizo. It was filling, clean, and I had no bloated feeling afterwards. The avocado salsa tastes great when you use it to put in your tacos along with dipping your fries in it. -garlic parmesan fries 5/5 - Very far from being salty, you can smell the whiff of parmesan before taking a bite. Not overwhelming. Nice crunchy taste, no sogginess, and there is an iota amount of oil at the bottom for dipping. -Mexican chocolate 5/5 - very smooth texture. Not super rich, just has the right amount. This is a very good dessert to end the meal, it’s not heavy either. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” I would give this place an overall 3.5. Service was really friendly. The Tower Burger was pretty decent. Good taste. Fries were well seasoned. Ample food for the price. Crab cakes were good not great. For the price, i would have liked to see another crab cake thrown in. Sweet chili cauliflower wings were decent. I like to have wings with a little more moisture inside. A little expensive for what you get. Cashew mac and cheese I really enjoyed. Definitely one of my favorite dishes from here. Good flavor and balance. For the price the portion was good. Indonesian sweet vanilla pudding I really liked. After a filling meal, the dessert is light and not too sweet. Overall, it’s worth going to once since not too many vegan restaurants. Price was fair on certain items and others were a little overpriced for what you receive.

We had a delicious lunch thanks to @mannakitchenchicago and @yelpchicago We're not vegan, but we want to incorporate more plant based foods in our diet. I had a Crispy BBQ Chik-nΒ  Sandwich.Β  Did I know that it wasn't really chicken? Yes,Β  I did.Β  Did I care? No,Β  I didn't. Did it taste like chicken? Somewhat. Was it good? It was very good. The sandwich was huge, with a mild bbq sauce,Β  topped with colesaw, pickles, and ranch. It's also a really great looking sandwich that tastes great. Upon entering, I originally thought that the restaurant was small.Β Β  However, there are 2 dining rooms, one more for large groups and private parties. I also got to try an Arnold Palmer drink (I've been wanting to try one for a while) iced tea and lemonade. It was really good. My hubby had the special of the day, Pasta Carbonara: Fettuccine noodles tossed in a creamy cashew sauce, cremini mushrooms, blanched broccoli, vegan bacon and topped with parsley and hemp parmesan. This entree was delicious. It was sharp, creamy, and pungently aromatic from the cheese sauce with a delightful hint of nutty cashew flavor. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Would we eat here again? Yes! Did our visit convince us to go vegan?Β  No,Β  but,Β  we will definitely be eating vegan more often. You need to make this a destination for vegan food!

I love this place so much it’s the only reason I would move back to Chicago for! The owner and his son and staff are so gracious, professional, courtesy and polite. Their vegan menu is incredible - I want to gate-keep their green tea cake and pudding!!!! PS - Don’t forget to pick up their Manna Bread in the cooler! :) and yummy drinks! See you soon!!!

Manna Kitchen is a FANTASTIC place for vegans and non-vegans alike! It's such a hidden gem in the Chicago 'burbs. I enjoyed the Soul Bowl, which was mouthwateringly delicious. The hearty beans, soft sweet potato, seasoned kale, and perfectly crispy homemade seitan chick'n was a perfect marriage of flavors and textures, but their house ranch and tangy BBQ sauces really made this bowl stand out! It was so filling too! And their fries were fried to perfection, a beautiful golden brown and crispy with a soft interior. Do NOT forget to order a side of their cheeze sauce! The service was amazing as well. The staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, warm, and kind. The cashier answered my questions and was quick to make substitutions when I asked.

As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the staff who explains how their foods are locally sourced and use organic ingredients. I was a little skeptical at first but they explained the concept to me. After you place your order, they have a small area where they sell some of their parent company Manna Organics bread, nut butters, kale chips and snacks. They also sell a variety of non alcoholic drinks and kombucha. I ordered the Chicago Style hotdog which came with seasoned fries. They were very busy with walk-ins and carry out so the wait was over 25 minutes. The hot dog came with tomatoes, onions, relish, mustard and dill pickle and sprinkled with celery salt . The only thing missing were sport peppers and a steamed bun. The fries were very good and not oily but salty and I didn't taste and seasoning. Expensive tho at 13.99. Many people were ordering the cauliflower wings so I guess I will have to go back. Located in a busy strip mall..definitely worth a visit to the first plant based restaurant in the Western Burbs.

Manna Kitchen is as fresh and filling as you can get! I am personally not vegetarian or vegan, but I absolutely enjoy the food here. If you are looking to change it up and try something new and fresh, this is your restaurant. This is a local business that I am more than happy to support and promote! Go check them out!

Good, kinda healthy, little high on the carbs but taste was good. Prices very high but portions large. Friendly, fast service. Free cold water option was excellent. Need more of these type restaurants in the suburbs, (they need competition) country areas, so we can eat our food in peace, away from the Chicago issues. Not spending our little money we have for dining luxurious, after taxes in Illinois, in Chicago!

The restaurant has a lot of promise. I’m very excited to have seen it come into the Western Suburbs. The dishes were a bit small for me, but otherwise… it was pretty good. I am looking forward to going back and trying some different items.

I am delightfully pleased. Worth every cent to support this business. High quality and flavorful. I tried the Cashew Mac N Cheese much better than any others I have had in past. Those baked beans wow! I’m mindblown. Packed with so much flavor.

Love that this place is all vegan. For these prices the serving size could be better. The dishes are hit and miss but a few done quite well. Glad it was here because its the only vegan spot anywhere near the arboretum

My husband and I stopped on our way through Naperville. I have been to Manna Kitchen only once before, probably in 2019. The server was attentive and pleasant and was willing to make recommendations. The Macaroni and cheese was a win. But my club sandwich was so oily that my fingers were a mess, and it said that there were micro greens on the sandwich on the menu, but there were a few wilted pieces of iceberg lettuce. We spent over $80 just to try different sides and dessert. I thought the carrot cake was really tasty, but my husband said it was so sweet that it made his teeth hurt πŸ˜†. Not a bad experience, but it wasn't what I remember it to be either. Don't go planning to eat healthy, unless maybe you have salads.

The food was delicious but it was a really uncomfortable atmosphere. The workers didn’t really talk much or look us in the face and it was just kind of awkward.. The order of my sweet potato fries got mixed up so they gave me a whole basket of fries to make up for it which was awesome. Constructive criticism wise, playing some music would be a good way to brighten up the vibe and my friend said her taco salad would’ve been better if it had salsa or guacamole. This place totally has potential to be great it just needs to improve on some things.

  • 3/5 Mike G. 2 years ago on Google
I ate at Manna Kitchen for the first time today. I ordered the Manna burger which was good but half the size I expected, especially for the price. They were kind enough to substitute waffle fries for sweet potato fries. They gave me a ton of fries which filled me up. I won't order the Manna burger again but I will try some other dishes. The employees were super friendly and very nice.
