He has shown me how to embrace my authenticity more and balance my energy. He connected my inner self with my hairstyle and made my hair match my personality. I went to Billy Yamaguchi’s salon for a hair cut and color consultation. I am in my early 50’s and wanted to address going gray. Billy was so helpful with helping me understand the process. He was the FIRST hair stylist who listened to my decision to go gray. All the OTHER stylists told me I was too young to go gray and talked me out of it…😞 It takes courage to stop coloring your hair!! Billy understood what I wanted and encouraged me!!! He then gave me the BEST haircut I have ever had in my entire life!🙌❤️👍🏻 Last night, my friend saw me after my haircut and said, “Oh my Lord, your hair looks so full and healthy! “ That haircut took 5 years off your face!” Thank you Billy!!! Also, I bought several hair care products that I love.

Such good energy and he does a fantastic job highly recommend. I have done balayage, highlights, dyed light and dark colors and hair cuts. They all looked beautiful and I get so many compliments. The only person I trust with my hair. :)

This was much more of an experience than a typical hair appointment. In addition to being so talented, Billy is incredibly kind and thoughtful. He makes sure you feel seen and heard while he co-creates the look of your dreams. Not knowing what to expect, I was a little bit apprehensive since I actually wanted to keep my style and color very similar to what I currently had to still match my existing brand photos. He magically managed to do that while still creating something extra to make me feel spectacular. What a treat and top notch experience - thanks Billy!

I got my hair cut by Mr. Yamaguchi recently while he was on tour in Austin. My mom always gets her haircut by Mr. Yamaguchi when he’s in town and her hair looks fantastic once done. I have never known what to do with my hair and was drawn into the fengshui aspect of his work. For starters it was obvious he knows what he’s doing. Definitely the best haircut I’ve ever gotten based on skill alone. As for the fengshui aspect I appreciated his approach and he really tried to get a feel for which element(s) suited me best. The vision was for the long term so I’m excited to see what my hair looks like once it’s grown out.
