I ordered 3 different pakoras (paneer, fish and chicken) the coating batter had no salt. Chicken biryani was dry and no flavor at all. Mutton biryani was okay. The server told all stories about how big actors visit this place which i highly doubt. Came with high expectations but disappointed.

Stopped by for the lunch buffet, with Halal in the name and posted on the window the expectation was to have at least one or two Beef dishes…non were offered, which started as a big disappointment especially at $20 a pop….the Chicken Masala was average and so was the curry chicken and anything else I tried, with the exception of the Naan that was thin nicely spiced and above average. Service was non existent, with one staffer seating behind counter whole time besides the single trip for bringing the naan. Not worth a second visit with so many other Indian lunch buffet options.

Average ambiance. Polite behavior. Food is very below average. We ordered the Garlic Naan which was very dry and dense. The Goat Biriyani was very unlike a biriyani. It was basically red colored rice with very few pieces of meat. The worst part was that we ordered Chicken Pasanda and the dish was green (a Pasanda is closer to a korma and is never green). I'm Indian and I have eaten pasanda several times before. When we pointed this out the manager said that "a Pasanda is always green". He doubled down on his inaccurate description of the dish and claimed that the dish was "mild" and would correct it. We didn't understand the rationale behind his explanation but decided to wait for the correct dish to arrive. The dish that came was a complete disaster. It looked artificially green and very unappetizing. The chicken pieces had been hammered and they were green outside (photos attached) and the green seemed very much from food color. The taste was bitter and we didn't have more than a spoonful. We decided to let it go since it was New Year's eve and we didn't want to cause any trouble and spoil our mood. The worst however was when we saw that 18 percent service charge had already been added to our bill. We were a party of two. There was no mention of an automatic service charge anywhere in the restaurant that was conspicuous at least. I would definitely not be returning and it annoys me that THIS is the representation of Indian food these people are selling. AVOID if you can.

If you are tourist, visiting Hollywood and returning back late to your hotel hungry, this is the best restaurant to visit, as it serves food until midnight. The food served was hot and tasty and I tried Prawn starter it was so good - think all can try as the restaurant serves spice level - both Indian and continental way, per the customer needs or wishes - which is a good thing. I liked the ambience too.

We just had dinner at Indian Tandoori Restaurant located at Sunset Blvd Los Angeles . We ordered chicken Biryani , chicken curry , butter, and garlic naan , kheer, and gajar ka halwa . The food was very good ,so was the service and atmosphere. The best part is that the restaurant is open late at night till 1 am .

Average food. Pathetic service. Not recommended. There are better places. Went to this place for dinner. The ambience is dull and boring. They took 1 hour to get our order for 4 people even when the restaurant was half empty. The waiter didn't even serve us water. On asking for water he brought 2 glasses for 4 people and then forgot to bring the rest. When we complained about the delay he said that they prioritize online orders which is just so stupid. The food quality is average. The gravy is good but the breads are dry and stale. Tea here is super bad too for an Indian restaurant.

We came in for the Sunday brunch around 1:30 pm but couldn’t have food in here because there where not many -if any- vegetarian options of food left. We asked the hostess if they would refill the trays and she said no. I don’t really know if we understood each other but yep. Couldn’t have food there.

We were here for the 2nd time & have had butter chicken, bhuna chicken, hyd chicken dum biryani, butter garlic naan and everything tasted good. We also had laccha paratha and the owner later told us that the flour was gluten free that’s why to our surprise it was not heavy. Good decent environment for family & friends. Good service to the customers. Ample parking in front of the restaurant. Very satisfying food. Definitely recommend!! ++ we were treated with free custard pudding yay!!

Husband & myself have been dining here for almost two years & this is our favorite place to dine. Staff makes sure everyone is taken care of & the food is amazing! We love seeing all the upgrades happening to the restaurant & recently they added Crown Kulfi ice cream (try the saffron & cashew flavor!) We take our family & friends here all the time & (especially the ones who have never tried indian cuisine) they end up loving the smells & flavors! P.S. If you enjoy beer, ask about the their imported one from India, so smooth & light!

I LOVE this place! Everything is so good and service is so great! If you haven’t caught the buffet hours, you are really missing out on a good time! I love that my brother and I come here and always feel so welcome! Food is always consistently good! We can never finish our food, they give good portions! They have a plant based menu here with lots to choose from for my plant Pokémon’s!!

This place, the India’s Tandoori Hollywood, is worth coming to dine-in. From the service, to the atmosphere and food, it all went so good. It was such a good experience, I’d definitely come back with my family! All the staff, including the owner was very friendly and welcoming. Amazing experience as a first timer too.!

The best Indian buffet I’ve had in LA so far. Technically it’s in Hollywood though. The restaurant itself was clean, and they had sanitizer bottles on the table! Yes, why doesn’t every buffet have that? The food tasted fresh compared to other Indian buffets we’ve tried. Each dish had its own flavor. Their chicken tikka masala was sweet and creamy, they also had dal chicken which was so delicious. A great combination that not many places offer. The Dal was so comforting, it hit the spot on a Sunday morning. Also, I didn’t get heartburn or any other stomach issues. I’ve never said this before of an Indian buffet, but I will definitely be coming back. Totally recommend!

Exceptional date spot, solo, friends and family and restaurant. Owner Asif and his staff personally treat every customer like family. The food is delicious! And nutritious! ORGANIC EVERYTHING. Olive oil only - no seed oils. Lunch, Brunch, Dinner and Midnight cravings satisfied every time - these guys are OPEN LATE LATE usually to 1AM+ Every dish and portions made to satisfy per your heat/spice preferences. Great all-you-can-eat Lunch Buffet 11AM-4PM and expanded menu with drinks included for Weekend Brunch! No other buffet nearby. Worth the visit to this open space West Hollywood gem just across and west of Rock n' Roll Ralph's. You will keep coming back. Free parking too!

Worst food ever. We waited for almost one and half hour for our order and it was too bad. Chicken was spoiled and the naans were not of good quality ( it has the black thing of the vessel on which they cooked). Dal thadka was also worst. The service was also not good and even after complaining they did not bother.

My Family & I stayed in LA for 4 nights and we had dinner here every night and Lunch on the first day. We were served by PJ who was amazing. Food was great every time. On the last night we met the owner who seemed very humble and knew his way around a kitchen as well. Not just some businessman who bought a restaurant, with no knowledge of food. Presentation of food was great, quiet atmosphere and could pass for fine dining. Would recommend to all. A must visit, not to be missed.

I'm not super familiar with Indian food, so my server was very helpful with giving me recommendations I would enjoy. It ended up being genuinely one of the best meals I've had in a long time. So glad I found this place!

Food was below average , they heated same left over food from morning . Service was very bad. I ordered take out , but changed mind and decided to dine in , restaurant was shocked and start behaving badly ( no spoon, no service , no hospitality was provided ). It was around 1030pm ( close time 1AM). I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone , especially any Asian , Indian or who love indian food. So disappointed with this kind of sloppy, unprofessional service. After me 2 other customers had same bad interactions with them. Sorry I have to share my experience

I love this restaurant and I LOVE the buffet! I usually pop in during my lunch break. Always really good options and it’s always fresh. The staff is so incredibly nice and helpful. Plus the price for the buffet during the week is unmatched. 15.99?! Wow. When friends visit from out of town, I always bring them here. I definitely recommend this place :)

I had the buffet Saturday and Sunday. The vegetarian options were many. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Fariha, my waitress was attentive, friendly and informative. I also spoke with the manager, who made me feel right at home there. I always dine here at least once each and every time I visit LA.

Some of the best Indian food in LA. It’s our go-to spot and everything I’ve tried on the menu is fantastic. I especially love the eggplant curry and the butter chicken is so delicious. Everyone who works there is super kind and I always enjoy coming to dine in :)

I came here with my husband and two girls under 8. The restaurant was lovely and clean. They did not charge us for our toddler, they have a kids price for kids, and they they give you all the plain and flavored naans you need. I think this buffet is good for people who like Indian food but not too spicy. While I personally prefer more flavor, I still think the options available and how the food was prepared was good. The best thing about this restaurant is their customer service. The man tending to the restaurant on 7/12 at lunch time was very nice and attentive.

First, everything we ordered is great. When I ordered Aloo Samosa they brought chicken when I asked to change it but they brought chicken again, they took more than 30 minutes to serve the samosas and suddenly they brought all the food together.

The food was quick and good. Outstanding service. The waiter was cordial and considerate of our requirements. Excellent naan pairs well with curries. I had a terrific time and overindulged in food. shall return.

Great cuisine and service are provided by the owner. This location is highly recommended. Wonderful alternatives on the menu; I'll definitely return to try a couple more things. I've never had vegan mango lassi, but I quite enjoyed it.

After 20 years at this restaurant, I got the taste of my country's rice, Exactly same taste. very tasty food Indeed, quality top class, India's Tandoori Hollywood is the only restaurant in Los Angeles that uses hand slaughtered premium chicken. Thank you for giving us premium quality food.

Service was good but food bland and tasteless. Reheated dry tasteless chicken biriyani. As requested I’ve attached the receipt. Also, dropping to 1 star as 2 stars was being nice. Sorry.

I have one favorite dish that I rarely see at any other Indian restaurant and it is the Pasanda and they had it. The food was so good full of flavor and the service was great. Highly recommend!

  • 5/5 Kana H. 1 year ago on Google
Great service and even better food: Chicken tika masala is light on the cream, which I prefer, and the saag was delightful. We ordered both at the medium spice level, which seemed pretty mild at first, but built up heat over the course of the meal. It seems like a family run operation and it’s clear that they care deeply about the food and your enjoyment of it. Strong recommend!

This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to for authentic, fresh Indian food! From the samosas, veggie korma, and peshwari naan—everything was amazing. There are also a ton of vegan/vegetarian options to choose from and each time I have gone, they have blown away my expectations. The service is also lovely and the ambiance is great for a nice dinner date or a casual lunch. If you're considering checking them out—run don't walk!!! I love this place!! Huge thank you to the owner and all of the employees there for creating such a consistently wonderful experience, whether I dine in or take out! :)

Excellent quality Indian food in the heart of Hollywood. The atmosphere was very professional dining and homely. Hershey was an excellent, attentive, and caring waiter. The dinner for two deal was an excellent value and menu items were good pricing. I will definitely return.

Finally! This restaurant took me way back!! 🤗 I spent a whole month in India 11 years ago and I have not been able to find a more legit and authentic Indian restaurant that can match with Indian Tandoori Hollywood!! The meat tastes fresh and tender, the sauces are rich in aromas and the portions are very generous! Plus they often offer promotions like buy one get one free so I always make sure to be on the look out on their website!! I can’t believe I only spent $52 for this huge meal.. and I love leftovers!! 🤗 The staff is friendly, polite, and not pushy to consume. I highly recommend this restaurant! Viva India! 😍🎉👏🏿
