Great decor! Honestly, what a good-looking, rustic themed cafe! Liked my cortado! I would say the food is okay and nothing too fancy (just like normal bagel w/ cream cheese or cheese sandwich).

A very nice cafe on the fourth floor in mill no 5. The food is decent but don’t expect anything spectacular. The staff are very nice. We spent around 45min enjoying the cafe and checking out the various items displayed.

Places and authority that do not appreciate the value and importance of their employees do not deserve business. Especially places that already have a bad track record of being pompous and racist. There are a ton of other better coffee shops in Lowell--I advise you to go to one that has more respect and integrity than this dump.

Baristas are super nice. Fun atmosphere. That was until the manager or whom thinks she’s the manger came walking in guns a blazing. Brown curly hair, glasses and septum ring. She started yelling about lights not being at the correct setting. Stomping around in her boots making her presence known to all. Standing at one end of the room talking to her friends she walked in with at the other end of the room. Disturbing everyone else enjoying their meal and coffee. She clearly has a power trip. I’ll be sure to not stay when she’s here next time. Food and drinks are enjoyable. I feel sorry for the staff. The entire atmosphere and energy dropped when that girl walked in. She’s why i took two stars away.

Cute coffee place for dates. We went during weekdays so didn't have to wait at all. Customer service was good as well. Would definitely visit again.

It’s inside an old mill, i forget 4th floor maybe. Street parking at meter. Open till 8pm most days. Loved the place with diner stools and steampunk lighting. With an adjacent community room with a boardgames table. The pastries are from across the hall and not too much variety. The servers are friendly and accommodating. There was a good selection on hot drinks. Specify on site consumption to get the nice cups.

A quaint cafe in the historic downtown Lowell. This is located on 4th floor of Mill 5. Entrance to the building is a bit tricky and shady. Usual breakfast stuff and loved the coffee. Friendly reception and service. There is also a bar here. The interiors of this building is ancient and interesting.

Really cool place and really good food and coffee! Be aware, if you are an out-of-stater visiting on a weekday at weird hours, the building and elevator might seem a bit scary, but it is definitely worth it. As a West-Coaster, I personally think the coffee could improve by changing the beans they use, but this is still the best coffee I've had on the East-Coast so far!

Drinks are still great but food quality has dropped off recently. My partner and I used to love the sandwiches here, but the recent bread change has been really disappointing. The breakfast sandwichs/BLTs/etc used to have delicious quality thick slices of sourdough. Now the bread is just really thin toast and the sandwich proportions just don't make sense anymore. Sad to see :/

Update 08/23- Was finally able to get back here after awhile but was definitely disappointed. This used to be my fave spot and I used to come here only for the avocado toast but now they use different bread which is small and they completely changed the recipe. It now just tastes bland. The iced matcha was good but I won't be back. They didn't even have the pastries that they used to have. The main space is small but very cozy. There is another room off of the main space that is equally cozy. Feel like you have stepped back in time. Everything around us has been so modernized that this space is a nice change. They have a lot to choose from on their menu and the Matcha latte was delicious

Awesome space, lots of room, kid zone, local taps, a winner. On the 4th floor!

really want to love this place because it's so cute but I've never had a great experience there. every time I've gone they've either messed up my order, took forever to get it out even when it wasn't busy, or the drink/food wasn't very good. too bad cause it's so cute inside.

Coffee and Cotton will draw you in with its visual appeal and their service will delight you. I had my travel mug with me and they allowed me to have it filled versus creating waste. They're accommodating. My girlfriend ordered a hot black tea and they fill it with loose leaf on site. The muffin we ordered was pistachio white chocolate and while the flavor was good, it was dry. The coffee is beyond my pallet I think. Aside from these two things, it's otherwise a five star joint and neither thing will keep us from coming back to try again.

This Mill #5 is pretty neat! Our cappuccinos were the appropriate size and quality! The Sunrise Muffin and Croissant were very well made. Glad to have dropped by.

We found this cute little spot inside of the mill number 5 while we were at Valentine witch love bazaar. It has a great environment and plenty of seating as well as a game room for kids. We ordered grilled cheese and chili. My wife loved the chili, and the greedle cheeses were off the hook. I was very surprised and happy with this little spot comfy. And it is very relaxing and the staff is also great

I adored my stay here. The nice boy, I think his name is Sam, helped a ton. I got the Root Beer float as well as the churros for a little snack with my family. 10/10 place, I would 100% come back. Please give Sam a raise.

The coffee at this little shop located in Mill 5 is very good. They offer many choices, and they also serve small plates of breakfast or lunch items. It's well worth the visit if you're shopping at Mill 5😉

Fantastic hidden coffee shop. It is located in one of the old mills in Lowell and is a bit hard to find. Look for the mill 5 logo and go to the third floor of the building. There is a mall with shops much different than what you would find in your typical mall. It is definitely worth the experience, plus the food is great.

Food and drinks are good, don't like the 3 flights of stairs leading up to the 3rd floor building, but it's a nice place if you are in the area, I wouldn't drive a long time to visit the cage if i wasn't in the area or on the same floor of the same building.

Unique spot for coffee and bagels. Located on the 4th floor of Mill No. 5. Parking can be tough during the week. People working the counter are friendly. Plenty of seating that overlooks Lowell.

One of the best spots Downtown to grab a coffee. ACTUAL coffee, not sugary-sparkle coffee like Starbucks or Dunks. also some great sandwiches and specials, and local brews and wines. You have to try it!

I love a good coffee shop as much as the next person. When looking for a new one I stubbled across this. Wasn't sure about it when driving by, didn't look like a great neighborhood and not much parking nearby. But once I followed the light up arrow sign and went to the 4th floor I was shocked. Totally different vide in the building. This place is everything I want in terms of the atmosphere. And the latte I got was awesome. Huge fan of the espresso. But the negative... I was not impressed with the food. Got a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel. I didn't know they put a ketchup on it and the egg was the processed in a carton kind. Too bad to because the bagel, bacon and cheese were good.

Cafe has a large area, good for working in but gets loud at times. Also good for meeting up with people. Really good sandwiches, and a wide drink selection of coffee, tea, kombucha, soda, ect

First time coming to Coffee and Cotton. One of the best atmospheres I've experienced in a cafe. Great lattes and fair priced meals. Expansive seating areas with different nooks and natural light. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Great vibe, highly recommend.

I love that this cafe is in a historic mill building with very tall ceilings and lots of character such as built-ins, fireplaces, tons of strung lights, local artwork, etc. My main reason for going is the atmosphere. Extremely spacious with tons of seating, and there's even a room with a huge table that can accommodate board gaming! Also a great spot for open mic. When I go, I spend a couple to a few hours surfing the web and enjoying the ambiance. The grilled cheese and chocolate chip cookie are yummy.

Coffee & Cotton is an oasis wrapped in a destination (Mill #5) surrounded by a unique history (Lowell and the Lowell National Historical Park). Once you enter Mill #5 and get off the elevator at Floor 4, you find yourself on the main street of an indoor village - a venue with a unique arts + crafts flair, populated with shops, a movie theater, a soda fountain, a bazaar, a farm market ... and your beverage destination: the spacious yet cozy cafe called Coffee & Cotton. Coffee & Cotton is open every day. Other Mill #5 attractions are more likely to be populated Friday through Sunday. The cafe offers more than great coffee or tea. There is food. There is wine and craft beer ... and free Wi-Fi. Large, library like rooms filled with tables and chairs attract students, writers, artists, local university and college staff, entrepreneurs, small clusters of conversations, tourists and local residents like myself. Here are photos I have taken at the Cotton & Coffee location from 2013 through 2019. Please note that interiors & furnishings were different in the older photos. I confess to missing the old Victorian Parlour and quiet for reading (no music was piped in). However, ear plugs work today, or ear buds and Spotify with sounds of nature.

Excellent seating options and not too loud so it's a great place to post up and study/work. Varied selection of food and drinks PLUS it's dog friendly,!
