The bartender was on top of her game and made excellent cocktails seats at the bar are super super uncomfortable. I don't know why they have such cheap seats in such a nice place The food was good. I enjoyed the lobster roll. The lobster bisque was a huge miss, it was grainy and very liquidy, perhaps it's just their version of a bisque, but it's disappointing. overall a nice experience the patrons at the bar are super friendly as well.

It's one the best seafood places in Greater Boston Area. Seafood is fresh and yeh quality is very good. Fishbones is on my "must-go" places in Boston area. Teh place is usually very busy and wait time can be long so plan accordingly. There is a free car parking lot at the back of the restaurant.

I've never made it to New England before and always promised myself a lobster roll if I ever made it up here. Well made it up here last night and googled best lobster roll near me. One of the first places to pop up with fishbones and I'm so glad it did. Dinner was a little more than I wanted to spend but it was late and this place is elegant. Excellent place for a date. Greeted very courteously but was told it would be a 30 minute wait for a table. However I could try the bar which luckily had just emptied out a few seats. Service was not the fastest but she had her hands full so it's understandable sissy from that everyone at the bar was friendly and polite. After looking over their very thorough menu I decided on of course my lobster roll and a cup of New England clam chowder. Neither disappointed in the least. Maybe it's because I've never been to New England but this was the best clam chowder I have ever had and while certainly not my first lobster roll it was definitely one of the most delicious. Although being offered ketchup for sweet potato fries was a first. Lol If you're ever in the area I highly recommend giving this place a go.

Very tasty food and such great service. We were so satisfied - had their clam chowder, buffalo shrimp, fish tacos and lobster roll.

We happened to drive by Chelmsford and decided to stop by Fishbone for lunch. Food and service was awesome! Ordered the chowder, seafood platter, burger, chicken fingers. The home made chips was real tasty! Restaurant is clean, spacious and modern. Will definitely come by again if we make another trip down!

Couldn’t have picked a better spot for lunch! My wife and I were looking for all the fresh New England seafood we don’t get in Texas. Fishbones did not disappoint! All the bartenders and staff were friendly. The steamers were the sweetest and best we’ve ever had. We also ordered oysters, calamari and a lobster roll, all equally as good. The beer list was great too, offering alot of local variety. We will make a point to stop in again next time we are in the area.

Overall great experience. Pan seared scallops were perfectly cooked. And the raisin bread pudding was absolutely delicious. Could be five stars if they make some slight improvements to their service. Our party was left unattended for around 15 minutes waiting to put in our food and drink orders.

I had some work friends in town and they wanted lobster rolls, so a quick google search suggested a good place to go would be Fishbones. The internet wasn’t wrong. They all got the lobster rolls and loved them. Good bread. Piles of lobster meat. Great sides. I went with the Spicy Lobster Saute (fresh lobster meat, spicy creamy vodka sauce, fresh fettuccini and slow roasted tomatoes) and it was also fantastic. Huge chunks of lobster. Perfectly cooked pasta. The sauce was magnificent - spicy, but not too spicy. It was my first time here, but I’m already thinking of a return trip to try something different.

This is one of my favorite restaurants and I love going when I’m in the area. The seafood sauté is my favorite dish, it’s super flavorful and balanced with lots of yummy seafood. The table side poured cocktails are also a must.

Extremely popular and for good reasons. Seafood was excellent. We had three lobster mains - roll. Risotto and pasta - and loved them all. Large portions. Raw oysters to start were superb. Dessert could be split by 2 or 3 easily. Great wine list with very fair and almost cheap prices. Gets crowded early on weekends. Make reservations. Service perfect. A little noisy. Counter seating fills up as well. Highly recommended.

I have been here on several occasions and I live/work locally. Fishbones and their wonderful staff deserve a great review and the food has always been fresh/delicious. We all know the service is very important and this is where I can really appreciate being taken care of. Our sides were a bit undercooked and a manager came over right away to offer the same sides cooked properly and was very courteous the entire time. They sent us home with a complimentary dessert and I am glad to say I will be back and I urge you to enjoy a meal here as well!

First time visit. Large entree selection made it difficult to select what to order. Fast and friendly service. Seating indoors, outdoors, and within view of kitchen. Reasonable pricing. Also large beer and wine selection. Seems to be a popular place. Would return.

This was my second time there as I live out of town and I come to visit my son. The food was exceptional and the service couldn't have been any better! I went for lunch on a Thursday and it was packed, so that tells you people really like it there!☺️

Great seafood. The pasta was kind of under done but the seafood itself was fresh and tasty and more than made up for it. The fisherman's platter was very large but if I'm being honest it isn't very good. Definitely a good restaurant worth revisiting if you're in the area.

Food was fine but overpriced. Flavors were basic and the menu felt dated. I bet this place was amazing 10-15 years ago.

A delightful seafood experience without the hassle of having to drive into the city. Fishbones offers a huge menu with an array of items ranging from good to great. The service was amazing, I can't say enough nice things about the staff we interacted with and the atmosphere was quiet but lively. About the food - For apps: - Bacon wrapped scallops. Were served in a maple glaze, which only added to their decadence. Everyone at the table loved them, though personally, I think the toughness of the bacon took away from the texture of the scallops. - Spinach dip: Tasty, but also quite heavy for an appetizer, I would not go for this dish again. The scoops are literally just tostitos scoops (though they weren't quite as salty as store bought, so they might make them in house). For entrees: - Swordfish steak. We ordered the last one they had available, so everyone else must have also loved it! - Lazyman lobster. This was an explosion of butter, mostly in a good way. As far as the lobster, I grew up in MA, so lobster isn't as much of a delicacy to me as everyone else. It tasted like lobster and butter. It was cooked correctly, and the $2 extra charge to have them shuck it for you is probably worth. If you're looking for "The Lobster Experience (TM)", I wouldn't choose this dish, or probably this restaurant. - Fishbones Favorites Halibut. Halibut can be a difficult fish to get right, but the kitchen prepared this perfectly with a nice crisp without loosing that flakey center. The pesto sauce complimented the dish wonderfully. The pasta was average, but tasty. - Sesame Tuna Steak. For a tuna steak, this was a tremendous portion that would feed even the hungriest. The sear was excellent and the quality of cut matched our expectations. For dessert: - Bread Pudding: This was extremely rich and dense and served with a generous portion of ice cream. I really enjoyed it but it was a lot. - Creme Brulee: This was far thicker and creamier than most creme brulee's I've had. Personally I wasn't a fan, but others at the table really liked it. Overall, I would definitely visit this establishment again. Side Note: My grapefruit/elderflower cocktail was delicious and they had a mid-sized wine list that could satisfy anyone with an appetite. We got 2 different bottles of white.
