The Fransvliet Cottage is ideal if you love wine and want to indulge in Franschhoek and its joie de vivre. If you go explore by foot (La Motte & Klein Goederust are just a few minutes walk away), want to drive out to town or visit the estates beyond, or, even better, enjoy your yield of the day in the privacy of the cottage. The cottage has ample space and is ideal for 2 couples, with a braai and private pool to entertain at home if you don`t feel like going out. Internet is stable and fast enough for zoom calls if you have to, but work feels far away at Fransvliet. Next time we`ll rent bikes for sure to explore the mountains and the Berg River Dam just behind the estate. Thank you for a great stay!

Amazing property! Beds, furnishings, gardens, all a treat. But best of all was Silvester Victor! What a prize! He was so friendly and attentive. He suggested restaurants that were top class. Brought us into town and was all around, one of our trip’s highlights! Hope our paths cross again!

We stayed in Fransvliet Guest House from the 17th until the 24th of April with our little baby. We had a wonderful Suite with a veranda facing the garden and a giant old palm in front of it. Beautiful Guest House, lovely accommodation. Tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Very well priced. Very central to all the wine farms we wanted to visit. Breakfasts were also very good. Would definitely recommend this wonderful establishment and we will be coming back.

Very clean, comfortable bedding, friendly hosts. The rooms are spacious. Unfortunately noise from the main highway permeates the room, so not much peace and quiet during the day but eases off late at night. Rather cheeky charging for bottled water and coffee, especially considering the prices. Only deluxe rooms have a direct view of the vineyard.

It's a gem. The perfect getaway if you are in the mood for a tranquil little break. Staff and owner are the friendliest people that you can meet and they make you feel at home. Vineyards surrounding mountains are beautiful and the Food makes you want to come back for more. I would recommend a visit

The location is superb, the hosts are amazing. Food is the most delicious gourmet quality. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Beds and linen are superb. Fireplace is so romantic. Highly recommended.

Absolutely incredible place. Nice, clean, spacious rooms. Breakfast is exceptionally good , made of local products and especially from this farm. I can't recommend more.

We stayed at the Fransvliet Self-Catering Country Cottage in November 2022. What a time to visit, with the gardens in full bloom, wonderful weather and colours that no camera can catch. Fransvliet Estate is a small and personal estate that shows the owner`s love and care to their property in every detail. The cottage is way more spacious than the picture can even show, with the highest ceilings, 2 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with big walk-in showers and a bath in each (most comfortable evening spent here with a good bottle of wine and views of the garden from the bath!). The kitchen has everything you will ever need for your stay, even a dishwasher which makes life with 4 people really easy. A really good bean to cup coffee machine gives you to the perfect start to the day and the fire place ends it perfectly. Next level tranquility for next level relaxation and the most amazing team to make you feel at home.

A wonderful hidden gem just on the fringe of the beautiful town of Franschhoek. Situated on a working farm/vineyard with just a handful of rooms, this boutique guest house is tastefully decorated and thoughtout. The views of the mountains are stunning and the guesthouse offers both self catering and BB. The main pool whilst small is perfect for cooling off in the hot sun. The owner/host Vanessa is wonderful, friendly, helpful and her attention to style and detail is clear in the design and fittings of the rooms. Victor who is always available onsite to help with any questions was very friendly offered assistance whenever we required it. We stayed for 5 nights and felt safe and secure at all times. No hesitation in recommending.
