Well, in my whole life of school experience, this has to be my least favorite school out there. For an international school, it didn't have much for international students. Just a bunch of rich spoiled German kids. Some teachers taught really well but a higher percentage wasn't as good to be honest. I have spoke with students (not naming who) who also are very unhappy about this school. They had similar opinions and even some worst experiences. I remember a new student and his sister had to leave within a few weeks because they got literally bullied out of the school.

Unprecedent low level of education and nasty pattern of untolerance toward the international students who are the minority instead of majority. My daughter went on grade 6 second semester in February2013 after we visited the campus for 2 hours led by their recruiters who offered us a bundle of lies how good is the school. Then it turns the grade 6 consist of 14 German native children and 7 international students with no social interactions between them, the teacher of mathematic is also teacher of humanities and also involved in cricket lessons - nice combination, is not it? Same story with Spanish class - the teacher dowloads from the web some kind of Spanish teaching peaces instead of having a proper study book of recognised publisher. They accept German kids from riich families with no much of a desire for study and teachers have to satisfy that. Orientation of school toward money instead of proper education, pitty but fact

In my opinion, Strothoff International School (SIS) is really a school designed for the spoiled children of rich Germans - students who probably could not make it to Gymnasium. In my experience and the experience of my son, the efforts at SIS to integrate German students with international students fail miserably. The German students are actually hostile to the international students and work towards excluding them from their activities or even commit acts of bullying. I know many parents who have decided to leave the school because of the way their children are treated - with some even deciding to leave Germany in its entirety (although they had the opportunity, and desire, to stay). Of particular concern to me are families with students in the higher grades (which was our situation), where the proper accreditations and even coursework might be lacking or incomplete and leave your student inadequately prepared for entry into higher education - or even missing the proper coursework to gain entry (as happened to others). Although some of the teachers there are exceptional, and the international parents are very involved (to the schools benefit), they cannot overcome the general lack of quality, professionalism, and civility that is the core culture and nature of the school. I can cite countless examples, but you get the idea. There are several other International Schools in the Greater Frankfurt Area - and you would be better to pick any of them. This one is the worst, but at the same time, also the most expensive.

Let me start with some facts, as facts are no rumours and no subjective views. The German school system lacks innovative and integral approach to youngsters. The fact that the school classes are accommodating more than 30 students, already is a signal of the approach taken. Teaching only the content without any view on left or right, no individual approaches to strength of our kids and lack of integration values teaching important to our society. Teaching in one language and starting very late with foreign languages as subjects. (Please forgive me the generic approach as I do not want to offend any school or any person). However, many articles including the yearly PISA Report can be found online if you would like to go deeper in this topic. Taking into consideration my professional situation and also the struggles of my son in the German school system, I decided to evaluate different options. When I found out about the SIS School, I visited them joined some introductions and was keen to know the principles to see if the school, my son and me was a good fit. Even so with having all the details in hand, we asked current students, parents and really took time to investigate to have a broad view. With having in mind that SIS was/is a pretty young school which has to deal with a huge amount of obstacles/challenges compared to existing schools, we decided for the SIS. After 4 school years past I can truly say my expectations were exceeded and my son is performing on a very high level. This is not limited to his academic degrees but also include the values teached, I feel my son is quite ready to overcome the obstacles he will face in our constantly changing society. Is the SIS School perfect for everyone, truly as we are so individual I think not. Was it a great fit for us, yes the best I can imagine. The general advice I can give to every parent is take your time evaluate the schools, follow up with parents, individual Teachers, join the events, get to see what is behind the curtain as your children will spent a lot of time at school.

We contacted this so called inclusive school for the admission of our son who has special educational needs. We were charged 600 Euros for the application and then a meeting was set up over Zoom with the head of inclusion and head of school. We were told we must visit the school once we reach Frankfurt. We saw them again immediately the day after we reached Frankfurt only to be told at the end of it all that they won't be taking our child because he express himself that well !! Wow !! Thank you for telling us that when we have already informed you all about him having a speech delay. It was not even taken into consideration that our child was severely jet lagged when he appeared for this so called second interview!! Basically rejected without any proper legible reason and then no replies to emails. Strong recommendation to parents of children who have special education needs to stay away from this institution. They lack basic empathy which any SEN family would seek and of course etiquette because our emails asking for answers have met with silence !! I would not waste even 1 star on this school but I had to because otherwise I can't write this review...Don't believe what the website says, this is not an inclusive school.

Our children came from the Swedish school system 1.5 years ago. Our youngest couldn’t speak or understand English and had a tough start due to that. But such a good support she and her two other sisters got! In 6 months she was on a level so she could benefit from the teaching to almost 100% and today all 3 are really enjoying the school with its teachers and school friends. We were very warm welcomed in the beginning. This is a fantastic possibility for our kids. Strothoff offers small classes, challenging tasks, great support and extra support when you ask for it. The teachers are requiring focused work but are also rewarding and giving positive feedback to the students. Our children tell us that when you succeed and see the result of the hard work it is worth it. We are very satisfied with the performance of our three children and later when we are moving back to Sweden they will have huge benefits from studying at Strothoff International.

It is may honour to write something about the Strothoff International School Dreieich, Germany. My children have been in different international schools of European cities but Strothoff International School is one the best top rating schools for IB Program & DP standers in the world. I transferred from Lisbon to Germany in year 2009 and during this period I change two schools which were not academically as good as SIS. I am satisfied with the performance of my three children which had been studying since year 2012 to year 2015. Now I have been transferred to another place and I did not find such a good school. It is worth mentioning that I have send back my elder daughter to complete her study in the SIS as we have not found such a good school at another place. My other colleagues also appreciate the academic system of the Strothoff International School.

Strothoff International School is an outstanding IB school with high academic standards, good facilities and experienced, caring staff. My daughter recently completed her IB Diploma with results in the top 5% and on returning to her home country, she has been accepted into the university course of her choice. We credit the dedication of her teachers towards her success!
