Best Edeka I've visited, amazing variety of goods perfectly presented to the buyer (no idea when workers manage to fill up the stalls but they do not interfere with customers), great self checkout experience, Pfand collection works every time and the prices are very good

We love it! It is close to the station, and is so clean and bright. You can find various brands of cookies, drinks, and more. The staff are really nice and helpful. There are many more options than other supermarkets.

We really enjoyed the first half of the shopping experience at Edeka Simmel. The supermarket is large and has a wide variety of products, this definitely feels like premium grocery shopping (with premium prices). What doesn't feel premium is the check out process. Most registers are automated and the software is very buggy. After almost every item we scanned it came up with an error message in regards to the weight of the items. A unfriendly and annoyed bald guy (employee) came and scanned his badge to let us continue scanning our items. Also when we tried to scan our "Deutschland Card" to collect points the machine locked itself up again. That same employee told us in a rude manner (like we were idiots and that its super obvious) that they are not Edeka and don't accept Deutschland card… even though the place is literally called "Edeka Simmel" on google and uses the Edeka logo. Very convoluted and confusing policy's. A sour finish to what could have been a nice grocery shopping experience.

It is very large and has a huge selection. However, it is a bit off the frequented paths and at dark hours I wouldn't feel safe near this place. Inside, some parts have a post-soviet flair (especially the fruits and produce section).

Best supermarket and pleasant shopping experience! This is a Fantastic, spacious and fully sorted supermarket with great variety and friendly staff. I live in Prague but I come here to stock up on goods whenever I am in Dresden.

If you are looking high quality foods and less crowded supermarket, this is the place! The vegetables look so fresh. The variety of ice cream is abundant. Many discounts for food almost expired. I totally recommend this 👌

Super clean! Best one I have seen in Germany so far. Staff was very helpful. Great selection of specialty products some unique and have not seen before. The checkouts are not traditional...they are actually advanced! So glad to see the use of self checkouts.
