If you are visiting Dresden and want to get out of the city for a bit and enjoy some fresh air amongst the green green Grand Garden. It is a very big park area with everything from woodland, ponds and gorgeous planted flowerbeds. It is only a stone's throw away from the city centre and, in our opinion, well worth the trek. As well as enjoying all the natural highlights that this area has to offer, you can also put your feet up in one of the beautiful beer gardens which are settled in amongst the trees. I highly recommend a leisurely stroll through these gardens.

I really liked the place. This park is intrestingly awesome. Cars are not allowed to go inside, bicycle can. The park is too large to have a long tour. Inside you can take a tour with a small train. There are two pretty lakes with a very nice views. It is open 24/7, but the palace inside and the train closes at 6 and 10, respectively. It's very recommended to visit the place.

It feels great when you see the beauty while you go for a walk. Ever feel lonely, I would strongly suggest you to go and walk around. This is a great view I captured when I went for a walk.

This huge park which can be reached in about 30 minutes using public transportation. There is a lake, a small castle and toy train. Really great place to hangout.

The grand Garden of Dresden is a very nice place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Great for nature walks and family time. The paths are ideal for walking, cycling, rollerskating and e-scooters.

(Translated by Google) A wonderful park in the middle of the city of Dresden, where you can walk, stroll, skate, cycle and relax. You should play this beautiful place more culturally, according to the center-standing early Baroque Palaise.

The place is everything you need for a short stroll or a bit of biking. It's sort of very near to the city centre but away from all the hustle and bustle. There are small ponds/lakes between the garden. Always gives me a sense of calmness whenever I visit the place. There are some good food joints around the place.

Must go place on every visit. It's got everything one could wish for. Concert area, "mini" train (properly run like a Swiss railway), Zoo, great lawn areas for a relaxed picnic or beer garden/restaurants visit or to just hang out and have a great time with friends and family. Then of course the palace with the water jet and the pond. Like a little holiday. Also great for recreational sports - running, skating, cycling on the main axis and as mentioned, plenty of grassy areas, partly shaded by trees to enjoy the day.

It is a beautiful place. Precious nature, traditional architecture, well maintained flower beds and even the ability to eat some ice cream or drink a beer. If you want to relax in nature, do sports or meet up with friends and family it is the perfect place to go.

A good place to visit for the travellers in the Dresden. A wide space with long walking trails. There are garden, palace, lake in the park. You can either walk or you can have a round around the park with mini train in the park

A large and beautiful garden, especially in autumn, when trees have different colours of leaves. There are several ponds, in one of them swans and ducks live. There is also a narrow-gouge railway, but it is open during summer period, in November it's closed.

  • 5/5 Khalid H. 1 year ago on Google
Good place to spend some time with family and friends. The lake side view was superb. Ducks and Swan was a good attraction for children.

  • 5/5 Robert H. 3 years ago on Google
It's a park. It's a big spacious park. You can totally find quite spots or spots with more people. Little restaurants can be found throughout the park. It has historical buildings, outdoor theaters and there is no entry fee. So it's worth a visit if you like parks and who don't. After dark beware there is wildlife as in boars.

  • 5/5 Jay C. 1 year ago on Google
A beautiful and sprawling park with many exhibits and areas within for kids to run and play. You can frequently see school trips with dozens of kids running around and having fun. Climbing areas, large fields, and nice areas to take a stroll with the family.

The city breathes here for real. From your morning jog to quenching your drained soul after work, this place just breathes back the life into you. Tons of nice spots for your weekend football as well (my priority). With the perfect blend of history and modern planning, it's one hell of a gem of Dresden. Be it your daily routine, weekend plannings or something special the Großer Garten is multifaceted enough to fit your needs.

The best part of Dresden. Perfect for relax, sport or picturing. Recomand to see. You need whole day for visiting. You have a restorant on lake. Excelent for children. They can run around you, don't need hand.

This huge park dating from 1676 can be reached in about 20-25 minutes using public transportation. There is a lake and a small castle as well. Really great place to walk, ride the bicycle, in-line skate or jog.

  • 5/5 Tom K. 1 year ago on Google
This place is pure bliss, a relaxation for both body and soul ina middle of a busy city. There good parking spots nearby, a botanic garden, a small railway, a zoo and beutiful architecture, all in a walking distance. You can find a flower garden and easy walk and bike lanes. We spant around two hours with the whole family and a kid and it was perfect in any way

Out of the full day in Dresden this was our top pick. It's probably because we're big fans of nature, and this has a mix of both. Also for the football fans, you get to walk by Dynamos stadium 🏟️

Very big garden for public use and well maintained. Max length app. 2.5km. The Palace and the trees are best for a quite and relaxing walking and especially the inline skaters ,cyclist gives motivation. I think around 9pm in summers lights will be switched on.
