👍👍 Beautiful small park at the Japanese Palace with old trees. The historic garden invites you to relax and linger. The different, large, old trees always fascinate me. You have a beautiful view over the Elbe and Dresden's old town. Unfortunately, apart from the old trees, there is not much left to see... People often mention garden, park, beautiful, nice,

Beautiful small park at the Japanese Palace with old trees. The historic garden invites you to relax and linger. The different, large, old trees always fascinate me. You have a beautiful view over the Elbe and Dresden's old town. Unfortunately, apart from the old trees, there is not much left to see of the former baroque garden. It was redesigned and badly damaged in the Second World War. If you look closely you can still see masonry from times gone by. About history: The palace garden was created in 1715 as a baroque garden or French garden for Jakob Heinrich Graf von Flemming together with the later Japanese palace. It was converted into a terraced garden as early as 1718/1719. The occasion was the celebrations for the wedding of the Saxon Elector Prince and later Elector Friedrich August II. The garden was decorated with baroque sculptures by Pietro Balestra and Antonio Corradini. These are all no longer on site.

The Summer Palace on the meadow behind the Japanese Palace in Dresden is always worth a visit. A very pleasant and peaceful atmosphere allows the soul to really relax with beautiful music. It's a good idea to bring a blanket with you and your picnic basket. You can also buy something tasty at the kiosks. 😊

Chilled garden on the right bank of the Elbe for listening to piano music, playing chess and practicing yoga in front of a royal backdrop. The hill is ideal for photos of the old town panorama in the early evening. Because of the neighboring Bilderberg Hotel, many garden visitors come here to reflect on what is happening in Europe and the world.

One of the most beautiful places on the Elbe in the middle of Dresden invites you to concerts and other performances every summer. A highlight this year was the appearance of Konrad Küchenmeister. An experience that everyone should take part in. Dance and enjoy, forget everyday life and leave your problems behind.

Hey here are the PARK REVIEWERS on our tour in Dresden. We gave this park 4 stars because it fulfilled everything except the special features such as a playground,... . Nevertheless, the park has a good atmosphere and there are lots of open spaces. The so-called Palaissommer, which is very well known, also takes place every year Feel free to write to us about other parks that you would like us to rate (we will travel everywhere in Saxony to rate your park suggestions.) 👍👍 Small park with a pond at the Zwinger. It is like a little oasis between the old historical buildings. Nice for a walk.
