A very nice & large restaurant by the sea with plenty of indoor & outdoor seatings. We had lunch there - Jerk pulled pork bun-Wood oven jerk pulled pork butt, spiced pineapple, local coconut bun ($21 CI, All Burgers and Buns served with fries or local leaf salad) & Crispy coconut fried fish, Kaibo curry sauce with Rice β€˜n’ beansΒ ($21 CI); served complementary bread. Food was delicious & very good service. Portion size was perfect. Tap water is safe to drink in the island, so we asked for tap water. They add 16% service charge. They have free Wifi. We enjoyed lunch here & I recommend this restaurant.

What a great beach and restaurant .... all the servers are professional, courteous and fun!!!! Food was super delightful and good serving size. Prices are about the same as other places nearby. I highly recommend stopping by. Bring your swimsuit and towel to enjoy the beach. Cabana beds and chairs available along entire beach.

Hmm. Well, first impressions were good. Food was very tasty, cocktails were good. Service was with a cheery voice and a smile. Service started off well but at times it felt that we were being forgotten, we noticed other tables were experiencing the same. We visited on bbq night. The menu was set and no price was on the menu except for the add on deserts. Now we appreciate that grand camen is more expensive than other places ( and we've been to a lot of places). Our bill came for just two of us at $205usd. We were shocked at this. Don't get me wrong, there was a fair bit of food on the set menu but we found it to be well overpriced. On this basis we have decided not to return again for food. Shame really as the venue is nice.

The setting is beautiful, but other than that we had an awful experience at Kaibo. Our appetizers were good, entrees were incredibly overcooked, and the dessert was good. The service was what made our night terrible. We waited for at least 5 min. for someone to appear at the hostess stand. Our waiter could have cared less that he was working. He was incredibly pushy telling us what he was ordering for us and trying to change what we wanted. He told us they were behind and it would be at least 30 min. Before we got any food. Not ideal, but that was ok by us. However, the restaurant wasn’t near full and within 5 minutes our appetizers and entrees came out together. Very confusing and then we had more food than we needed. The table next to us had been waiting for an hour for their drinks and food and came in before us. No one came to check on our meal or refill our water. We couldn’t even get anyone’s attention to come over to the table. For the price you pay for this food we expected a LOT more in quality overall. Maybe the Tuesday night beach BBQ is good, but I would avoid going here.

This restaurant is a must visit if you ever go to Grand Cayman. The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful, with comfortable outdoor seating right at the waters edge. The staff are friendly and lively and go out of their way to make for a great and fun dining experience.

This spot was so nice we dined there twice. The first time was just for a little snack before I bioluminescence excursion, and the 2nd night was for the carribean dinner beach party with live music. The food and music were phenomenal.! My only recommendations are to go when the sun goes down. Otherwise, it is a battle for your food with the flies πŸͺ°

Great bartenders. Look right out into the ocean. Ahi Poke Bowl is really good. Just a skosh heavy on the soy sauce. But still good. Their Fries are on point too. Just a quick pop in for a snack and drinks. Check em out!

*Upstairs at Kaibo* really surprised us. We did the Ferry + canapes + cocktail on a Sunday and it was espectacular! I am coeliac and they adjusted my canapes. The GF bread was INCREDIBLE! The vegetable rissole was amazing. And all the mocktails were fantastic! (I'm not drinking at the moment and they made some really good options for me!) Everyone loved their food and drinks, the service was amazing, the Atmosphere was really nice, and the ride on the taxi added to the experience. I highly recommend it!

This restaurant has beautiful views of the ocean. We had the Rare Mojito (guava) and Elderflower Cooler which were refreshing. The Shrimp β€˜n’ Catch Cakes and Lemon and Herb Half Roast Chicken were just ok. Our server disappeared after dropping off drinks and food. We would’ve liked to have another cocktail but we were finished with our food by the time he returned and it didn’t make sense at that point. We were asked about desert but not interested. Staff could use some training on upselling and service. There were also too many flies and it was a battle trying to eat.

01-2025: Return visit. Unique food. Callaloo fritters with mango salsa: spicy and yum. Had conch fritters again too. Still great. Sticky toffee banana pudding was awesome. Rum cream with local rum cake was wonderful. Great service as usual. And lovely atmosphere, tables on the breezy beach with shade or sun. Nice cocktails. 01-2024: Tom was our great waiter. Knew the menu well, and just when he was needed, he was there. DJ played really good music. Great beat and song choice. Had conch fritters with jalapeΓ±o mayo and callaloo fritters with spicy pumpkin mango dip. Both were really tasty. Yummy rum cake with rum flavored cream and walnuts and delicious and light pineapple and sorrel for dessert. Fun atmosphere and lovely beach location with lots of shade. But also sun if you want it. Will be back.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! If you visit grand cayman and don’t make the trip here, you screwed the pooch. Take the ferry, drive, swim, do whatever you need to, just get there. It’s magic. My family visited late last year for a monumental 40th anniversary celebration and it was everything we needed. We ate here most nights and drank here daily, often bringing mudslides across the street to our airbnb. Kaibo is forever in our family, my wife’s name is Kai, and we have Klee Kais! It couldn’t be more perfect

What an amazing place! Not only is the food great (with a very good selection of gluten free), not only is the level of service excellent, not only is the Mudslide unmissable, but the views are just spectacular! The vibe is cool and modern jazzy and it has become one of my favourite places on island. We had Snapper Sandwich and pizza, which they happily customised for us.

The location can't be better. The spacious outdoor seating with a wonderful view. The service impeccable. The quinoa salad was amazing, one of the best in a long time. The only thing I have to call out is the paper cup that was served in my rum. Not even a glass. For a classy place, that classy rum didn't deserve that.

Was lucky to be served by a waiter named Carlos. He truly went out of his way and is the true example of excellent customer service. I would never have stayed as long if it would not have been of him. Even in a stressful busy environment he kept his calm and made me feel special. He reserved a table for me, brought me a pillow on the beach, served me amazing food and drinks and never forgot about me. Genuine customer service. He deserves to be recommended for his great work.

Dining Upstairs at sunset was an utterly enchanting experience! Our family of five was treated to an evening where the stunning panoramic views of the beach and bay were just the start of the magic. The food and service went above and beyond our expectations. The appetizers were delectably fresh and bursting with flavor, setting the stage for what was to come. The steak and lamb? Oh my goodness, they were heavenlyβ€”some of the finest culinary delights we've ever had the pleasure of savoring! And let's not forget the desserts, which were absolutely out of this world. The Banana SoufflΓ© deserves a standing ovation, it's simply divine! Others loved the Rum flamed pineapple tart tatin & sea salt caramel tart. If I could rate this dinner higher than an 11 out of 10, I would in a heartbeat. This is not just a meal; it’s a memorable occasion that we will treasure forever. It’s not inexpensive, but a special occasion indulge. It’s worth noting they asked about and made it clear they were adapting the menu to our food allergies too. This was very much appreciated. A symphony for the senses! Yum! Yum! Yum!

Atmosphere, location and service all great. The food was not edible. Worst fish we have ever had....anywhere! We have been trying to contact the manager since Saturday and each time we are told he is in a meeting and will call back. It has been 5 days and no call yet. Hopefully he is meeting about the food!!

"Wish they made food that was not spicy for people like my 14 year old daughter and I. There was three dishes we could not eat because of it. Should give customers a choose for spicy or not spicy for the beach BBQ. We loved everything else of the food they gave us. The place has an amazing view and the vibe is fun! We both enjoyed our Beach BBQ. It was a beautiful sunset and the weather was perfect that night"

Luna del mar was AMAZING. My fiancee and I both got the vegan menu and everything was delicious. One of the best meals we've ever had. They did mess up the dessert by bringing out non-vegan dishes but luckily we noticed and they corrected it. Went back a few days later for lunch and everyone was friendly and remembered us. Great place.

For me, I went here as a quick dinner stop before doing the bioluminescent bay. Had the coconut fish and it was pretty darn tasty. As with all places in Grand Cayman, pricey ish. I got that and nothing else and was 35 bucks or so after tip. So, you be the judge if you care. But the atmosphere was bumping and had a good energy. I think if you were someone who wanted to get a good vibe and mingle, etc, it's a pretty cool spot.

Food was great all around - the pizza is a great starter for the table to share. Nice to walk down the pier at twilight and eat on the beach. Annoying that they don't do paper menus AND the wifi doesn't reach to most of the beach tables (that's a bad combo), but the server quickly brought us a tablet with the menu pulled up. Food was great though - grilled fish was very well done and the BBQ chicken was some of the most perfectly cooked, flavorful BBQ chicken I've ever had. Great views, relaxing atmosphere, excellent food. Highly recommend.

We stopped here for lunch after a boat day, and we are so glad that we did! Service was friendly and prompt - large water pitchers were brought to our tables right away, with beverage and food orders to follow. I wish I had written down our server’s name, he was so kind and just great overall. All staff we encountered; so nice!! The food was delicious, all were happy with orders, from the burger, to the red snapper special, to the salads. The cocktail list is extensive, with a nice mocktail selection to choose from, as well as the beer. We all agree we would love to go back during our stay - highly recommend!

My family of five had the pleasure of dining here three evenings during our New Year’s vacation; once downstairs and twice upstairs. If you get the chance, make a reservation β€œUpstairs”. Get there early to enjoy a cocktail in the stunning bar area, followed by relaxed upscale dining on the porch over looking the water. The service was impeccable, the presentation interesting without being pretentious, and the small menu is varied enough to satisfy any palate. As a person who must eat gluten free, I can’t say enough about how much attention was paid to food allergies. The beach bar offers a gluten free crust and both restaurants clearly educate their staff about the menu ingredients and what can be altered. This is a do not miss of you find yourself in the area.

Unfortunately/fortunately our rental van broke down in the parking lot. So while waiting we decided to have a few drinks and lunch. We had 2 pizzas, chorizo was phenomenal, gluten free margherita which was good but wasn’t cut nice. Poke bowl was mid as hell, only flavor was so sauce, peanuts added a nice crunch but NO flavor but soy. We also tried a jerk pork sandwich which rivaled the chorizo pizza. Drinks were delightful takes on classics and the wait staff was fun and engaging super nice at a bummer time.

We ate at the Kaibo Beach restaurant. As soon as we got there, the hostess and our waiter Roshando (sorry if spelled wrong) were so warm and friendly to us. Despite it being dinner time, we got a spot right up against the water. As I’m vegan and my husband is vegetarian, it was great that they had some options for us! The calaloo fritters were one of our favorite foods during our Cayman trip, and the veggie burger with a beet bun was great too! Roshando even treated us to dessert on the house as it was my husband’s birthday, and even gave me a dairy-free sorbet with it. We were trying to kill time before our reservation at the bioluminescent kayak tour, and we did not feel rushed at all, and sat and enjoyed the view. Thank you Kaibo for a great dinner experience!

I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant, and I feel like people should know what to expect before going. I stopped by during lunch for takeout, and while waiting at the bar, I noticed something really grossβ€”there were flies landing on and circling the bottles. It was unsettling to think about how unsanitary that is, especially since flies can lay eggs or feed on the bottle tops. If you’re considering ordering a mixed drink here, I’d strongly advise against it. Later that same day, my family came back for our 6:20 PM dinner reservation, and things somehow got even worse. We’re a family of six, with two adults and four kids, and the kids were really hungry. Despite this, we waited over two hours and only got water and a single appetizer from the BBQ we ordered. The server kept coming over to apologize and say, β€œFive more minutes,” but the food never arrived. Meanwhile, other tables around us were getting their meals on time, which made the situation even more frustrating. We asked to speak to the manager, but he wouldn’t come to the table. It was clear he wasn’t interested in helping. From what we saw, he was yelling at the cooks, and the staff seemed completely overwhelmed and frustrated. The whole restaurant felt chaotic and poorly managed. As if that wasn’t bad enough, many of the bathrooms were closed, and the strong smell of sewage was disgusting. It made the whole experience even worse. Because of how poor the service was, we decided to cancel the chef-prepared six-course tasting we had scheduled later that week. After this experience, we just couldn’t justify giving them another chance. This place has potential, but it’s poorly managed, unclean, and just not worth the hassle. I wouldn’t recommend making the trip, especially if you’re coming with kids or expecting a special dining experience. They have a lot of work to do before I’d even consider coming back.

This cute little corner shop on the north side is a must if you love cold brew. Morning hours mostly but a great way to start the day. The beach and our door seating are perfect for a lazy chill out. They also have a small selection of books to read and share.

I stopped here to get a cup of coffee near the condo we rented for the week. The service is wonderful and it's a nice little shop. It is also very nice to have a coffee shop on the north side. Coffee runs about $5 USD for a cup and they have lots of options to pick. Kaibo really does a good job of having all kinds of options for people!

Great place to stop and eat while on Rum point. The best Pulled Pork Jerk Sandwich!!! The beach in front of the restaurant is very calm and clean. The staff is very friendly. Plenty of parking. There are plenty of shaded spots to eat under. Credit cards accepted. We would eat here again (and we probably will!). There is an espresso spot, but it's only open until one. There is "fancier dining" upstairs, but I can not speak for it since we didn't visit that portion. We went during midday and midweek, and we had no issues getting a seat. Nor had any issues with flies, bugs, or loud music as stated in other reviews. The music was played at a very comfortable level.

I always love coming to Kaibo. It’s a beautiful spot with the most chilled vibe. It manages to feel stylish but casual and welcoming to family groups. The food is interesting and tastes great and it’s one of the only places that offers kids meals that are a small version of an adult meal rather than only chicken tenders and fries. I particularly wanted to post today because we had a small complaint about one of our meals and the way it was dealt with was a flawless example of great customer service. Thanks to the Kaibo staff for a fantastic end to the public holiday.

Came just for dessert , not worth the price. Not sure about the food options. The atmosphere and setting on the other hand is very nice. There are yard games, and plenty of outdoor seating right on the water. The marina makes a nice backdrop as well. They have like a coffee bar that looked really interesting but it was closed for the day. ;(

Slow service, high prices, mediocre food, nice beachy atmosphere and live music, but tons of mosquitoes. Our group of 4 went for their full moon beach BBQ buffet. We arrived for our 5:30 reservation right on time and were the only people there when we arrived, but we didn't get seated until 5:45. For the BBQ buffet they have a set menu and they deliver all of it to your table, family style, so you don't need to order (only drinks). Still, we didn't get our food until 6:20, and the tables around us were equally upset for having to wait almost an hour for food. Overall, the food was just okay. Some of it was very over seasoned. Don't go here if you don't like spicy food. Lots of mosquitoes made us leave as soon as we were done, which is a pity because the atmosphere is otherwise very nice! Live music and a limbo bar. For the price and mediocre food, it's simply not worth it (4 meals, 2 cocktails, and tap water cost $300 USD with the included 16% gratuity).

First of all, I would like to begin with, we loved the location and atmosphere, absolutely beautiful and super chill. We had a 4:30 Christmas reservation, arrived early, around 4:15 PM, and were sat immediately, on the beach, which was amazing. Our server, urged us to order quickly as the kitchen was closing in ~15 minutes... which was very surprising with a 4:30 reservation, but we obliged and ordered our drinks, apps, and dinner as quickly as possible (pending children making a decision). We received drinks and apps very quickly, and my husband and I received most of our food in a timely manner. My husband was missing his side and our girls were missing their pizza. Another server came over to apologize, explain there was a new server and new system, and our pizza was given to the table next to us, but it would be out shortly. The pizza arrived, and then my husband's side, and the food was decent. Despite the urgency in our ordering immediately, it took quite some time before our server returned to ask about next steps or closing out our check. When he finally returned, we asked if ordering dessert was okay, in which he responded he was there until 6 PM, so take our time... so confused. Our girls ordered dessert and then we waited, and waited, and waited for our check. After much waiting, our server delivered not one, not two, but 3 separate checks. The first 2, due to a new computer system, the 3rd, also due to the new system... we think? Overall, love the location, would love if the the time and effort it took to drive from Georgetown to Kaibo had been worth it. The service and overall experience was weird and lack-luster.

The location is beautiful, but we unfortunately got assigned the least energetic waitress there. All of the other tables were having a great time with their servers, while ours was just...there. The food was ok. We both ordered the grilled fish. It was not seasoned at all. I normally don't add salt to food and I thought it could have used some. We were seated at a beach table, which was the best for the sunset but the chairs were beach chairs with very deep seats and even at 35 I had to have my husband pull me up out the chair. The chairs were also quite a bit lower than the table, so eating was a little awkward.

Poor service. No locals. The Kaibo burger was decent.
