Rum point came highly recommended at our hotel so we rented a car so we could check it out. Food was so delicious, drinks were on point, the service was great and the scenery was awesome. We didn't get in the water but we got an opportunity to relax in one of the hammocks.

Rum Point is closed. We drove all the way from our hotel on 7 Mile Beach only to find out the whole area is being renovated. Most of the buildings are torn down & only a few are being refurbished. We wanted to catch a Sting Ray City tour from there like we did 3 years ago, but everything is gone. There's no indication on Google Maps either. Not very helpful.

This is a great place to relax and have a couple of drinks. The view is amazing and on top of this, this is a turtle spot:sit on the bench on the pond and wait!

We came out here for lunch. Google maps took us very near but not to the actual restaurant. However, we got there! The food was great. I ordered the grilled snapper-it was delicious! My nephew ordered the prosciutto pizza and said he liked it!!

Great place where the locals and visitors alike, commingle. Loved the views of the northern coasts and barrier reefs. Swimming/wading distance to the nearby sandbar, where the party boats huddle on the weekends...or a quick paddle or boat ride out to the main sandbar/ stingray city. Simple, but surprisingly comfortable and nice outdoor seating, with relatively speedy table service. The lunch menu was pretty good and the prices were as expected from an island beach bar environment. Lots of activities available from the water sports options, including jetski, paddle boating cycle boating, snorkeling and dockside food service. It was a bit disappointing to see that gratuities were automatically included in the bill and did not allow for a decrease or increase of the amount, but awesome mudslides and blue iguanas cocktails made that sore spot, quickly forgettable. I will certainly revisit this location on my next trip over to the beautiful Cayman islands.

Renovated Rum Point is a sight to behold! Took an evening cruise out to the point and enjoyed a wonderful dinner provided by the delightful staff! Amazing atmosphere, good drinks and sweet vibes. Could not have asked for a better night! Shout out to Sabrina from Hanover (JA) for providing great service with a wonderful attitude! 🤙🏾

Rum Point is a fun area around the island from Seven Mile Beach. Using Red Sails, we went to String Ray City and then to Rum Point for lunch and a little beach time. We were there five years ago, and they have made numerous improvements, and the Mud Slides are still the best drink ever!

Rum Point Beach BBQ - Not worth $50 We took the Catamaran ferry from Safehaven Marina on the west side of the island for $5, and the trip was cool. We were anticipating the BBQ because of the advertised menu. We made sure to ask ahead of time about the menu, and when we arrived, the menu was different ... expecting BBQ ribs and substituted with pork that was dry and tough ... very disappointing to spend the time traveling there and not have alternative options. Jerk chicken was also served, but they were not willing to add anything else to the menu offerings. The side options were good, several options, and even a pasta bar. Dessert offering was meager ... fresh fruit and flan ... once again, they weren't able to offer any alternatives. Do yourself a favor and just find a good restaurant and sail when you feel like it. This particular combo is not worth the money.

The new much improved Rum Point is an excellent place to visit. I must admit to being sceptical that the changes to the location would be too modern or too much. They have struck the right balance and it’s a winner. Food was quick (we had the food made to go), bar area was clean, staff were very helpful. Location though is the main reason for a visit and it never disappoints, especially at sunset.

We visited Solis at Rum Point Club for dinner and had an amazing experience. The new chef and owners have really done a great job. Everything we had was really great, we tried the Bruschetta, Jerk Pork and the Funghi pizza, those 3 in particular were amazing. The place has been completely rebuild and just reopened late last year and it’s really spacious, open and clean. Staff was very attentive and service was excellent. We will be back to try The Rum Deck area for lunch. So if you’re in the area you can definitely give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

This is the best spot on the island. We felt that everywhere we went you would spend a fortune and leave hungry. All the food & portion sizes here were great, the pizza was 10/10 and the service was the best we received. Highly recommend stopping in and experiencing this lovely location!

We are thanksgiving dinner here and it was absolutely incredible. Food was perfect and high quality matching the high price. All the staff were kind and we could tell they truly enjoyed serving us. The food, service and atmosphere all were slightly better than Kaibo down the street in my opinion. There drinks were also our favorite out of the 3 restaurants we’ve been to so far

Great day trip destination - very calm bit of shallow water especially if other beaches have big waves and the free loungers are a huge bonus. The renovated restaurant/bar is top notch: great and attentive service and clean, well maintained location - but pricier than the Rum Point of a few years back. Biggest benefit - the restrooms are now much nicer!

We had drinks and a late lunch on the new covered bar / patio after our excursion to the stingrays. Drinks, apps and mains were all excellent as was the service from Johnny. Conch croquettes, wings, fish sandwich, pulled pork sandwich and pizza all delicious. Thank you Johnny as well for the great recommendations for our stay here!

My wife and I made it a point to visit Rum Point on our stay this year. We drove from Turtle Nest Inn (Bodden Town) and it took about 22 minutes. We really enjoyed the experience. We got there to the Club around 11:30 and had lunch on the patio by the Bar. We had an amazing waitress named Alisa from Estonia. She took very good care of us and even went to the effort to explain we could access the beach and use the chairs and umbrellas at no charge. Had a super fish sandwich of fresh caught mahi, and yummy adult beverages! Knowing how much time and effort many have put in to rebuilding the experience at Rum Point, I can offer our sincere appreciation of how lovely the experience was.

Unfortunately I have to agree with a previous review about race being a deterrent at this establishment. The website clearly states that during the off season the bar is open until 7:30pm. I went to the bar at 7pm seeking a simple drink. I was completely dismissed. Quite upsetting considering we’re staying across the street. As a former server, I understand the slow season must be tough but the young woman behind the bar on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 could have been more accommodating.

well… our party of 5 didn’t get our food until over an hour after ordering. At the same time, a party of 12 came in 15 minutes after us and got all of their food within 20-30 minutes. took forever for our table to get any help or anything we were ordering.

I have been coming to Rum Point for nearly forty years and I can remember with affection arriving by boat... and sipping cocktails in the old bar in which the then owner spent the passage of Hurricane Gilbert (in 1988). Cayman has moved on and the new Rum Point Club is a magnificent incarnation. The appetisers we sampled were innovative and delicious. The service was first rate. The place was busy... so word is getting out about the new, upgraded Rum Point Club!

This is an excellent place to visit. We had a really good time. Theres a beach section, there's yatchs that pull up playing music. You have the option to rent jet skis. At the dock you can swim the water is about 5-6 feet deep. We stayed at margarittaville and it was about a 45 minute ride to get there. The scenery is very nice and it's worth a day trip. They serve food and drinks. I had the mudslide and long island ice tea but it didn't seem to have enough alcohol. I got a punch after and you can taste the alcohol in it which was much better. Give this place a try.

Great job with the reconstruction, the entire place looks amazing. FOOD: I ordered a Jerk Brisket Sandwich on slices toast with the option of "fries or salad". I asked if I can have a caesar salad instead of fries and add brie cheese to the sandwich. The waiter replied i have to charge you AROUND KYD$6 for the caesar and KYD$5 for the brie cheese. It was like he was making up the prices. The meal without these charges is already KYD$20 plus 16% grats! So, the brisket was moist, mild flavor of Jerk seasoning and the sliced toast crumbled when holding the sandwich. Would I go back? Not to eat at those prices. Two meals, two cocktails plus grats, the bill was over KYD$100 or USD$120. I understand they are fine tuning everything and would be happy to revisit.

The club restaurant itself has a great structure and is clean and organized. Mudslides and other drinks are expensive but that’s a must try. I had much better snorkeling in other beaches. The water visibility was awful in January. Overall, a great place to spend a few hours in a beach chair with the option to eat good food and have average drinks. Like any other restaurant in Grand Cayman, it’s pricey.

Rum Point is a super cute and makes me want to just chill out and spend the day there. There is plenty of good food and drink and the activities available are awesome (I highly suggest taking a tour boat out to Stingray City). Make a morning, afternoon, or full day out of your visit, you won't be disappointed!!

Our favourite spot on the island. Family friendly spot, but can get busy when the cruise ship traffic rolls in. Either go early morning or evening or check the cruise schedule to avoid the bustle. Food is decent bar food and the mudslides are legendary.

A great little place right on the beach. Food is very good. Lots of watersports like kayaking, jetskiing, sailboating, etc. It is very shallow and calm. There is good snorkeling to the right of the pier with lots of fish. There are also chairs and hammocks and shade. Nice place to spend a day.

This restaurant has a great covered patio and a fun vibe. All of the servers were friendly. I recommend the Coconut Ceviche and Conch Fritters along with local beers Caybrew and 1981.

Food was not very good. Caesar salad was drowned in mayo and the chicken was so oily we couldn’t eat it. $20 for a cocktail is ridiculous even for Cayman. Our server couldn’t answer any questions about the menu, was pretty rude, and disappeared often. Enough to where I spoke to the manager about it. He offered to buy us lunch the next day, but our experience with the food wasn’t all that either so we decided to opt out. Seems a bit overrated, but the grounds are very nice.

We were at the Rum Point Club twice during Thanksgiving week. Once for lunch and again for Thanksgiving Dinner. The food, service and atmosphere was fantastic. Cory took good care of my family of 9 for Thanksgiving Dinner arrangements and our server Sabrina was outstanding for us for both our beach lunch and Thanksgiving Dinner. The new restaurant is a great addition to the East End of Grand Cayman. Rum Point has always been my favorite place now I can enjoy it even more. Thank you

Food was good but menu in my opinion was limited. I only found an appetizer that interested me so got it for my dinner. The restaurant for some reason can't split a check so know that in advance if you are going with a group. Not sure I would go again. I also think she double dipped on the tip by adding it in again when she came to run the card so pay attention.

When you enter if you are not white you are not treated nice at all you literally have to ask for service we walked in and I had to ask this one white server where can I sit she never said hi nothing then says “sit where you want” after we found a seat a very friendly Jamaican waiter approached us very friendly and was warm I then said its nice as a guest to feel welcomed and see a smiling face. For what you spend here proper service training is needed. We ordered lunch We had brisket sandwich; fish sandwich, pizza and couple appetizers and drinks Food was good
