Rum Point Club Residence is the definition of a luxury hotel-- in my opinion there is not a nicer hotel in Cayman and I've stayed at them all. Each unit is like a mini house-- very spacious, with everything you need including a fully functional kitchen, washer/dryer, and expansive views of the sea. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the robes are the best in the world! It is located in North Side, which is the quite part of the island-- perfect if you prefer not to be around all the tourist on Seven Mile Beach. There is a full restaurant and bar in the hotel too. I really enjoyed every meal I had there!

We had an incredible stay at RPC. The apartments are huge and so well appointed, they have everything you need for a week long stay. I particularly love the modern spacious bathrooms and large deck with plenty of comfortable seating - a world away from your usual hotel room. Cannot wait to return.

Our first trip to the Cayman Islands and chose this area as it seemed less crowded. The condos are beautiful and very modern. Plenty of towels, dishes etc. Really everything you need. The staff is available till 10:00 at night and is very polite and helpful. Their beach is very clean with many chairs and umbrellas. The pool is beautiful and relaxing. Snorkeling is good but you need to be able to swim out to the reef. I was encourage by the amount of activity of both fish and coral. This area is MUCH less busy than 7 mile beach. We are already planning another trip back.

I am at 3.5 stars for Rum point, but since I can't give half a star it's going to be three really just to provide a counterpoint to some of the overly positive reviews. 1 . The condos are lovely and well appointed. Some small things would make them more usable, such as more hooks / racks to hang wet stuff. It would also be nice to have a coffee pot to use that doesn't say it needs to be descaled. 2. The pool is EXTREMELY narrow. There were two older kids playing catch in it, and I was honestly afraid one of them was going to hit their head just jumping from side to side to catch the ball. It's also all five feet deep (except the 12 inch tanning ledge), so nowhere for younger kids to touch. 3. The snorkel gear you can borrow is disorganized and a lot of it is broken. 4. One of the reasons we chose this place was that they have an onsite restaurant/bar. We were informed before arrival that the chef quit, and the restaurant is shut. While I feel horrible for them about this, honestly I expected a discount on the stay as in more of a remote area, we really wanted a restaurant/coffee shop/bar onsite. Edited to add: The vendor says they offered the option to cancel or move, I've gone back to my email about this and it was not offered. 5. The service is acceptable at best. The people we encountered were fine, but not anywhere close to the level of warmth we felt almost everywhere else on the island. We ultimately enjoyed our stay just fine, but we won't be rushing back, and I wanted to provide a few realistic criticisms amongst the glowing feedback here on google.

This was the perfect getaway. We have two young kids and this could not have been better for our family. We enjoyed the pool, exploring for seashells. The condos were great for our family and the kids. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is a drive around the island but worth it. It didn't have as many tourists and felt a bit more like a getaway. At night we walked over to the Rum Point Club for meals that we didn't want to cook in our condo. This honestly felt like the best kept secret in Cayman Islands.

This was one of the most beautiful and well put together units our family has stayed in. The resort has amazing views, and an exceptional design. The pool was small, but very cool. It’s open 24 hours, so great for lap swimming in the early morning. The beach is not the soft seven-mile beach sand; but it is a great beach, it’s clean, and it was fun (water shoes recommended). Right next door is also Rum Point Club which gives you a more sandy beach and more of a β€œtouristy” feel. You can walk over to it in less than 2 minutes. Having a full kitchen helped with grocery shopping for the week. Loved the unit and felt at home through the say. There are a few things to take into consideration before booking. 1. The resort is roughly 50 minutes away from the seven-mile beach area. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is the place for you. But if you are looking for shops, dinning, activities, and to explore this is not the place. 2. The are limited dining options in the area. The hotel had one chef (who was great and full of energy), but not much to choose from. The other options close by are pretty expensive for daily choices while on vacation. 3. You will need a car; there is almost nothing within walking distance to this hotel. Overall, the staff was friendly, the hotel provided snorkel equipment, management was professional, and I can’t convey enough just how beautiful the units are. Definitely a 5 star hotel in a more secluded location. If this is your first time to grand cayman (I would not recommend this hotel as your first experience). If you need to get away from the world in a beautiful and safe environment, this is the one for you. If you are on a couples retreat and want to turn your phone off and relax, this is also definitely the place for you. If you have young kids who just want to have fun, I’d recommend the seven-mile beach area.

This is the GEM of the quiet side of the island. I just spent a week at the Ritz-Carlton on Seven Mile Beach. The Rum Point Resort is nicer!

Modern building in a really beautiful location. I'd highly recommend Rum Point Resort if you're looking to enjoy a quieter part of Grand Cayman. The resort is north facing, so the pool is usually shaded. Beach entry into the water in front of the hotel is mostly rocky, but that's a good thing for snorkeling, as you don't need to go far to find fish. A short walk around the point brings you to a sandy beach with a west view of the sunset. Photo attached. Kaibo and Starfish Point are a 25 minute walk or an easy bike ride away. The resort has loaner bikes that we took advantage of. We didn't have a car with us, and there is no grocery store or even convenience store in the neighborhood. If you intend to use the kitchen in your unit, stop by Chisholm's Grocery on your drive in from the airport. Kyle and Ashley at the front desk were both friendly and helpful during our stay.

Our stay at Rum Point Club Resort was exceptional. The suite was modern, clean and the views of the beach and ocean were breathtaking. The staff were very pleasant and quickly attended to our needs. Our boys had a wonderful time swimming in their nicely heated pool. Overall, well pleased with the facility and our room.

This place was a wonderful reprieve from the frenzy of 7 mile beach. The top 3 perks: 1. The staff is wonderful, kind, helpful, and fun! We were genuinely sad to leave them. 2. The beach offers snorkeling access right off the dock…the water is beautiful and clear and the crowds are elsewhere. 3. The rooms are incredibly clean and comfortable…a true respite. Housekeeping is on point every single day…we were so spoiled! Thank you all for a wonderful time…what a huge gift to our family you all were!!

Highly recommend Rum Point Resort. Perfect getaway for anyone expecting paradise. We were blown away by the property including the decor, appliances and it was spotless. The only noise was a pleasant movement of the clearest water ever! The staff was welcoming, kind and helpful. Looking forward to visiting again in the near future.

Fabulous. For the last several visits we commonly stayed at East end locations. On a whim, we decided to choose rum point for a β€œdecades” family trip. The location is quiet and well-appointed. Service is excellent. Units are contemporary and within a few steps of the water. In this instance, β€œyou get what you pay for”.

Absolutely a gem; We loved the Rumpoint Residences tranquility to relax after long travel. Probably the best residence in Cayman. Facilities are top notch high end but finishing touch is friendliness of team; Candice and Jaime are super welcoming.

We had a lovely dinner there at the restaurant which is also open to guests who at not staying at the Residences. You can choose to eat inside or on the patio by the pool. Giancarlo made great cocktails for us and his service was 5 Stars. Food was simple and very good. Parking is in basement of the residence. No need to book as of Nov 2022 as this is very new and they take walk ins at this stage.
