Had a terrible experience here on Saturday night. I’ve never experienced this with a restaurant before. The chicken burger was completely burned with absolutely no taste whatsoever. The chicken wings were extremely dry and tasted as if they were frozen and then fried straight away. Apparently these were rum and coke/BBQ wings however there was no sauce on the wings at all. The pricing on the bill wasn’t the same as the menu… and we weren’t given the full cocktail list so couldn’t even find the cheaper options. The mocktail was basically 30% drink and 70% ice. I ordered the lemon tart with ice cream as desert however the ice cream was raspberry instead of vanilla and I wasn’t even warned. The female waitress was very plain and unfriendly, my friend and I didn’t feel comfortable here at all and didn’t enjoy our experience. This was very disappointing as 2 people recommended us to eat here and they were shocked at our experience. None of us will be going here ever again.

Great place to hangout. We went there to celebrate my wife’s birthday and it was great. The place has got a nice ambiance to it. The Raging Bill Burger was amazing. We also ordered the Cajun Chicken Burger, Supreme Of Chicken, Thai Red Curry and The Famous Bill Sizzlers. The staff was also nice and Friendly

Pub is really nice, drink very reasonably priced but the wings we ordered were awful. Was told they were buffalo but totally different to what I had before. Sauce was awful. Other food at the table was decent but wouldn't recommend

Booked dinner here on new years day, ordered the fish and chips and lamb shank only to be told that was sold out, that our waitress should have advised us before ordering, so we ordered the pan fried cod and a few minutes later we were told that was all gone too , so we ordered the ratatouille and again told a few minutes later that wasn'tavailable either.... eventually ordered chicken.... after dinner we asked for the dessert menu and asked before we looked at it was there anything sold out from it to which the waitress said no all the desserts are available....Happy days, she then came back and said, actually there is NO desserts at all available, the chefs all went home at 8pm , it was an absolute joke. And to top it off when we went to pay the bill they charged us for the fish and chips which we never got !! Our waitress also got her coat and left half way through service....... can't say I blame her. Very disappointing

Was in the area with wife, and we decided to go for lunch. Even though we haven't had a table booked they found one for us in just a minute, staff was excellent and very polite. Food was great too, had a medium rare steak and a desert which was absolutely amazing.

Great place for drinks. Lively atmosphere. Great selection of bar areas, and lovely beer garden. Very helpful, friendly and efficient staff. The restaurant is quite popular. Wide selection of dishes on the menu, but the quality is not consistent, being sometimes good and sometimes not so good. Large portions, but our chips were served cold and the Bull's renowned chicken sizzler did not sizzle, when we visited. Was the sizzler just reheated? Very hard working staff, but the new management team should aim for greater consistency in the quality of the food served.

Popped in for lunch on Saturday and was pleasantly surprised with the fare, following a couple of hit and miss experiences here recently. Staff very pleasant and helpful, Vegan options no problem, the vegan curry was excellent. Steak one of the best ever and cooked to perfection. Burger yummy. Dessert and coffee spot on. Everything very well presented. Only small con was delivery of dessert was a bit on the slow side, but we were not in any great hurry. UPDATE 18/10/2023 Called in again last week and was so disappointed this time around. We both opted for roast of the day which was Turkey and ham. This was not your normal turkey and ham dinner, it was what I would describe as processed turkey and ham, not real mash and veg was package frozen veg cooked on premises. The Baileys Eton Mess was nice but only one strawberry was laughable. Coffee was nice. Senior waitresses seem totally disinterested and we felt we were only a burden on them by being there. The restaurant was a lot quieter than normal an we now know why. Suggestion : Serve home cooked food, reduce price and think more of the customer. Ultimately it is the customer that keeps you open. Won't be back and we were regular diners

Visiting from Finland and Black Bull Inn is very beautiful and cozy place. The outside doesn't do justice for the inside but I've noticed it's quite usual in Ireland.

We had a great day at this place, the sandwiches were very tasty, we especially liked the one with the mushrooms. Had inspiring chats at the bars and the drinks were outstandingly delicious. Music let us dance all night so we are still laughing about that evening 🥳🥳🥳

The driest salad I have ever had. Not a sign of any kind of dressing at all, 2 slivers of orange, supposed to have been goats cheese! Very hard to find the cheese - at least I won't upset my cholesterol €15 for a really bad dish. How a chef could actually send this out. Had tge same dish in Harvey's in the same area and what a difference

We were a group of 14 celebrating my mam's 85th birthday on Saturday evening. The service was exceptional and the food was top notch. We had a wonderful night and will definitely be back.

We group of 8 walked in on Saturday without booking. Even though the place was busy, staff was so kind to arrange a table for us. The food was delicious, and the staff were very helpful and the prices were good. The ambience of restaurant was nice and they do support celebrations such as birthdays, anniversary etc.

Second time here in 3 weeks for Sunday lunch. The food is among the tastiest I've had in a long time. The presentation is great. The waitresses are very friendly and helpful. The only complaint I would have is that the food could have been a bit hotter, but I still enjoyed it.

A group of us had dinner and drinks here last night and we loved it! The food was amazing, the owner was so welcoming and friendly, and the live music was fantastic too! Highly recommend!

Good, not that old, uncle need no introduction in the Black Bull Inn area. He is known everywhere for his hospitality and lifechanging advices. Having a Chat with Charley will transform u into a better version of yourself. Unfortunatly I met uncle Charley only once (for my Bachelorparty in Dublin he was our Host and tourguide), but it was a such a pleasure and the most fun ever to hang around the corners of Dublin with him and all of his unnamed friends. Special THX to out gemeinsamer friend FastLaneFelix who connected us and all of our other crazy friends that participated. Is was hilariously well prepared and done... Couldn't be better! I dearly can't say anything about the food... Somehow we missed all the foodtimeslots. But we will be back... For sure Greetings Robert

Ordered the vegetarian sizzlers, i wouldnt recommend this at all, for the most part the bowl of vegetables were made up of half an onion, half a red onions, a couple of mushrooms and a few slivers of a pepper. Frankly id get better in a takeaway, the cost of the dinner cant be justified. Disappointing as its my local pub and would love to support them

The waitress we had was outstanding. She well informed on gluten intolerance. The food was delicious, however we were waiting about 25 minutes as our food ticket went missing. We did get a drink on the house though. The seat we were at was near a draft so it was cold sometimes. It was new year eve so the function room was busy with loads of young people so the music was loud as the door broken so it was left open all the time then the band in the bar started so it got very noisy.

Went for breakfast. Had the full Irish. Nice breakfast. Unusual sausages they looked like normal but tasted like smoked frankfurters. Would have preferred normal pork ones. Rest of the food was lovely. Would go again.

Lovely informal dining experience here after a hard day umpiring at a sports event. I found the staff very attentive, beautifully presented burger and dessert. The Pub had a great atmosphere, with diners on one side and punters in the bar.

Food is OK, staff members are OK although I felt I was being pushed from one course to the other. Prices of special menus a but expensive and hated the approach of the lad who robotic told me "here's the specials, I recommend the new chefs menu, it's good" and disappeared. The waitress from Croatia was a good craic.

We went for an evening dinner. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. A plus is that they have really good options for vegetarians and vegans. The size of the portions was slightly less than I remembered but they are ok for the price, which is fairly reasonable. I enjoyed the Guinness. The service was quite good. They got us taxis quickly after we asked them. All around a nice evening.

Had my daughters 18th birthday party at the Bull. All was perfect!!! All the staff were super helpful & friendly, amazing food, beautiful venue. Good price for money. The manager went the extra mile to make us feel very welcome. Thanks everyone for looking after us!!!

Held a baby shower here last weekend. Absolutely gorgeous food, fantastic service (especially from Rachel who looked after the food our bar man Cormac who couldn't do enough for us) and just a lovely spot in general to hold a function. Never disappoints food wise

I was excited going in, as I had read some positive reviews. I left a little disappointed however. While the food was tasty, it was cooler than I'd have expected and liked (turkey and ham). After dinner I ordered some dessert for both my daughter and I. This took far longer to arrive than it should have. Just after having started our dessert a waitress told us she'd need the table back in about 25 minutes. Staff were pleasant, as was the manager. It wasn't a bad experience by any means, just a few small issues that made it what it was.

We had a party for over 30 people in the restaurant yesterday evening to celebrate my wives special birthday. Firstly, a massive shout out to Dave who helped us so much with the organising of the event and last night he was on standby to ensure all was going to plan for us. Secondly, Tara and the team who served so promptly and efficiently and managed the entire food and drink service without any delays. As for the food, it was delicious. So many options to choose from. Not one person was left unsatisfied, thank you to the kitchen team for catering for us all last night. We’ll see you again soon Sharon & Orla

Arrived on spec, no reservation but accommodated by nice maitre'd who squeezed us in. Very tasty pub / bistro type food. Thai curries, burgers, steaks, etc., and separate vegan and vegetarian options. Excellent service, friendly and efficient and good portions if that's your thing.

Nice ambience and nice food , well most of it ! The fish was undercooked slightly. The portions are far to big. Couldn't finish mains after huge starters. Staff very pleasant also. Won't stop me returning. Love the bar area !

Evening meal with children. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff (especially the tall girl who served us). Kid's meals are well priced and the raging bull burger is the best burger I've had in a long time. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff, pleasant surroundings. Ample parking. Food good but some items listed on menu were not available. We also had to call a member of staff to order desserts/tea/coffee quite a while after mains were cleared away.

Lovely, unique environment. Busy but for good reason. Had a VERY tasty chicken burger. Staff was very attentive. Would've said 5 stars but the gents loo was a bit gross. But sure, that's probably just my bad luck.
