Visited from Dublin. Excellent breakfast. Staff making best efforts, but this establishment is not being supported by the local community, and they will be the very ones complaining when it closes down. Three stars instead of five- because although the full Irish Breakfast is the best I've come across- I went back and had an evening meal which consisted of a bland burger which could have easily been seasoned prior to cooking, and which came with some very unfortunate looking frozen chips 🍟

Over priced food that looks good on the plate but lacks a huge amount of flavour, I ordered a small bowl of pasta just for a 1 year old and they charged €3.50 for just plain pasta nothing with it dont get me wrong i dont mind paying but a bag of pasta is what .50c to buy just seemed way over priced, €2.50 for more sauce for the butter chicken curry that was as dry as a bone and had no flavour, salmon was not nice and the mash was reheated cold and dry. However the lady who served us was really nice and friendly.

No Welcome here for people with Dogs. Drove up from Dublin with the family, had a lovely walk on the beach, seen the fantastic Beer garden at Reddans, thought it would be an ideal place for us to get some food and refreshments as it looked very inviting and we had our dog, a four yr old Cockapoo on a lead with us. The beer garden is fenced off so you have to walk around to the entrance at rear and walk through the bar to gain access, so we walked around and in through the reception where our greeting was not a friendly one, a large, middle aged eastern European man with glasses saying repeatedly "No animals No animals you have to go" when we explained that we wanted to go to the beer garden he said "Adults are ok, No dogs" we questioned Futher "not even service dogs or guide dogs??" his reply was "No dogs" then attempted to frog march us from the building and we left. I think it's important to support local businesses in small towns when visiting on day trips or staycationing, if they dont want my money somebody else will always be happy to take it, but todays Really embarrassing episode could have been avoided if Reddans bar bettystown just put up a few signs saying No Dogs. Bettystown is great by the way, there are places for food and drink other than here which I look forward to sampling the next time I'm up that way.

Absolutely disgraceful the staff where useless absolutely no system in place waited 30 minutes on a starter on to find a hair in it. The child’s meal arrived and a half hour later our starters. We had to demand our money back and where charged for the child’s meal. The staff are terrible this place should be shut down in my opinion never again!!!!

This is our 5th stay at this b&b. Always loved it...HOWEVER, tonight we have decided never to return... we have a dog that has always travelled with us and not allowed in property(which is fine), has always stayed in jeep.she loves the beach... tonight me and my partner were having a drink and a refugee entered with a cat on a lead and went straight to her room.. Upon questioning manager we were informed this was allowed BUT our dog had to stay in our jeep after paying 155euro. SADLY, WE WILL NOT RETURN A 6TH TIME. double standards. A disgrace. Cannot be 1 rule for 1 set of guests and another rule for another. Avoid

Lovely B&B in what seems to be a typical beachfront town. We stayed here one night before flying back home from our vacation touring all of Ireland. The proximity to Dublin airport is really nice. The food was good without being exceptional.

Great atmosphere, comfy, well-equipped rooms (our family room for four is simply phantastic!), it really is a luxury B&B! Everyone is very friendly and helpful, our breakfast was delicious (the girls just loved their freshly baked waffles with Nutella and bananas or fresh berries) and we also had supper at the bar, which was wonderful, too. We can recommend Fish and Chips, Curry, Cannelloni with Spinach and Ricotta or the Caesar Salad! A great place to relax and indulge yourself. The beach is phantastic, too. Highly recommendable!

Lovely location but the foot is just not good!! (Other words come to mind). It explains why the restaurant is always quiet and you never see a local dining there.

It is a lovely spot in the heart of the small town of Bettystown .on arrival we were so looking forward to a overnight holiday experience.we straight away went into the restaurant for a carvery lunch. The place was empty except for a family 8 at one table. There was no one in the beer garden as it was a showery day and bearing in mind this was BH August Sunday maybe 5/6in the bar.later in the evening it got busy with locals in the bar and the band The David Bowie brother were very good all in all the holiday atmosphere just is not there.Did not meet anyone else that was staying there, yet we were told we got the last room.Very strange indeed. The staff are really lovely, very pleasant and willing to have a chat.5 stars for the Staff.

Friendly helpful staff, room (family) very clean and well-stocked, plenty of parking, on the beach. No problems with wifi. No A/C but weather pleasant. Breakfast and bar menu good, not "amazing", but you're in a small town so not much to compare to. Live music in the pub on weekends. 30 minute drive to Dublin Airport.

Didn't stay so can't rate the rooms. Staff are nice, food was nice, but there are a lot of restrictions if you have kids with you. Can't site outside in front garden area, you can sit out the back but only if you eat. Won't serve you a drink unless you order food first

Went for a beer and dinner with my kids. Good food, very tasty, excellent beer but above everything, excellent service. Always feels familiar even when it's packed

This is a good B&B, beds were fine for me .. ( my wife couldn't sleep) everything was clean. Good Breakfast in the morning, nothing special not bad either. The beach ⛱️ is 5 minutes away, the weather wasn't great but that happens in April in Ireland.

Oh my word! My Brother and i had a wonderful long weekend at Reddans. All staff without exception were totally brilliant and couldn't do enough for us. A big shout out to the Manager Rory for running a tight ship focusing on a good customer experience. The Rooms were spotless and views of the Strand and Sea was amazing. Breakfast again totally brilliant and freshly cooked. The same for food ordered from the Bar. We'll Be Back!

My family: partner, two sisters, dad, his ladyfriend and my uncle stayed here for 4-5 nights and can't say enough about our idyllic experience. Every staff member treated us amazingly! They all were so warm and accommodating!! Truly wonderful people that really cared about good service and getting to know us. The rooms were good sized, clean, and comfortable. Our breakfasts were delicious. The pub and lounge were perfection. I'm a vegan so we ventured to restaurants in the area for dinner which were fantastic. Such a cute little town with the train a town over, only a 15mn walk. Taxis were booked for us to get to airport with such a lovely driver. We will make it a point to get back- we hope in the next couple of years as we live in the states. We need to stay here again!!!

To be honest the man at the bar counter is appreciative but the food is a real disaster.Me n my family had a sea food chowder from this place. Before he gave it , the bar man said “ everything is fresh here and it takes about 10 to 15 minutes “. But once I had it, felt like raw fish from freezer and not even cooked properly, and tasted like salt fish, so my humble request is that, some one please give the chef a real seafood chowder. Thanks

Very nice place, I come here often, but the last two times my waiter was a young girl, I think her name is Rona or Roma. Compared to other waiters, there is no desire to leave a tip... She did not treat me sincerely at all, she brought it with such a displeased face... But the establishment and hers are very good and tasty!

Attitude of bar staff and bar manager was atrocious. We had a light hearted incident and they flew into a fit of rage . The red mist descended for both of them and they were very aggressive towards us . Won't be going back .

Went in for lunch with a friend Monday the 11th and where the only two there, I get it's kind of out of season now but I don't think that's the only reason. the staff member who waited on us was lovely. Unfortunately the food was some of the worst we have had. I asked for mozzarella balls, which they where out of so ordered the veg soup. My friend ordered the goats cheese and red onion crostini. The crostini was burnt, the goats cheese looked gelatinous and the salad underneath was slimy. My soup was extremely salty and just horrible which would make you wonder how old it is. The server must have known of the extreme low quality of the food as they didn't once ask was everything ok when we didn't eat anymore and my soup bowl was full. Nothing mentioned, they seemed embarrassed.

Thought I booked in to a hotel but it’s basically fully of Ukrainians who are being housed there and some of them working there ! Very dated rooms need a total revamp ! Irish barman originally from Finglas rude and aggressive has been reported many times but no action taken ! There making vast amounts of money from the tax payer housing All sorts avoid this place at all costs !!!!!!!

Wouldn't recommend to anyone unless you are over the age of 40! One staff member large, middle aged eastern European man creepily waited at the girls toilets to ask my girlfriend her for ID, bearing in mind we had only walked In. He then proceded to parially block her from leaving the toilets demanding it even though I had her belongings. Once she got by this creep, she met me at the bar where I was confronted by him. The bar men where suprised, said she looked 22 and not 18 and were quite happy to serve her. This is extremely Unprofessional, if yous are that worried about young people in your pub get bouncers or at least let the bar man decide! Not a member of staff waiting outside of the ladies toilets!! We regularly went here without issue after tonight we will never return, nor will local family.

Had a very nice lunch with family and was so happy to be given a choice 😊 of vegan and vegetarian 😋 dishes. So often it's plain pizza or pasta and tomato sauce! The staff were welcoming attentive and the Guinness was good 👍

Came to stay here for the last few days of my vacation from the USA and I'm glad I did! Not only is this a great location on the beach, but it didn't feel like a long drive to get into Dublin. The staff was excellent and not only remembered my name, but made sure to make jokes with me every time I came in or out of the B&B. The Irish breakfast was excellent and I highly recommend it. The attached bar had great drinks and friendly staff. My only complaint was the room got a little hot for my liking. I couldn't turn the heat down, but I also didn't ask, so that's on me. I hope to visit Ireland again one day, and when I do I'll start it at Reddans!

Room spotlessly clean, food lovely. The full irish is like a dinner and lovely. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Reddans is a great place to stay, its a pity there is not much to do around Bettystown. The beach is lovely but the town uts self leaves a lot to be desired. It could be a great holiday town with a bit of investment. 10 out of 10 for Reddans though👍👏

Delightsome B&B facing the seafront (some rooms) with a nice bar n ok food. Rooms were very spacious n i loved the cove windows with the desk n chairs. Worked from here on a Sunday and the view made it not as bad (working on a Sunday). Ample parking spaces. Needs more charging port and perhaps a more interesting brekkie menu.

This B&B hotel differently give you the English feel. This was our last few days in Ireland for my husband grand 40th Birthday before we departed back to the states. This hotel is about 30 min to Dublin airport so it allows us not to rush super early to get to our destination, we loved that they feed you every morning with there free breakfast, we had the full Irish breakfast and boy that filled you up till dinner, we came with a couple and the were on the first floor only complaint they had was they could hear the band playing clearly from the room but it didn't make them too mad, their room was pretty good size compare to ours and we paid more, but we got the view of the ocean (that what the extra paid for) our room was great! the internet was sketchy so the TV was having a hard time staying on signal and the shower water was not as hot as we liked, the most annoying thing for me the shower curtain kept sticking to our bodies when we showered but other than that great! Shannon the reception was outstanding and hilariously funny, she remembered our names especially my husbands but the room was under his name so i can see why, she said hi every time she saw us and made she everything was OK and comfortable, also making sure our friends were as well. I would stay here again. PS. the gentleman that was playing at the bar was awesome. made it easy to get up and dance.

Bar wasn't too busy maybe 15 people.. Don't know why they constantly have 5 televisions on.. When we left about 9.30 there were 3 people in bar (women) having a chat but still the tv were left on showing sport. Food ok fish /chips was ok . I ordered butter chicken curry.. Which it wasn't.. It was terrible chicken was dry and hard like leather.. The chicken wasn't marinated in yogurt and spices over night (which you do with butter chicken) it was some kind of sauce with chicken thrown in.... It ok for a drink won't order food again....

Reddans was such a delightful place to spend a few nights. On the last leg of my Ireland vacation, my friend and I shared a very spacious room with 3 beds and wonderful accommodations. The included breakfast was delicious, dinner was wonderful and night life at the Neptune Bar unforgettable. I would absolutely stay again!

Absolutely lovely staff who would go out of their way to ensure you are having a lovely stay. The chef was able to make a special pasta dish for my friend which was a lovely touch. The rooms were comfortable and spacious.

I was there to meet some friends. The live music was way too loud, we couldn't hear each other. One person in our group left. Shortly afterwards we moved out to the front lobby and it was still loud there.

Lovely choice of delicious food on menu, superb breakfast and the kids loved the pancakes and waffles, very family friendly and great location for day trips, right on the beach and close to Tayto Park, New Grange, Hill of Tara and Dublin City, if you don't want to drive into the city you can get the bus or train. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.
