They say that you should not judge a book by its cover, nor should you judge a restaurant by its street entrance. The entrance may not be inviting, but the actual restaurant upstairs is very plush, modern and comfortable. It is not wheelchair accessible, however, and the stairs may be a little tricky to navigate safely after a few drinks. Delicious food at very reasonable prices. Great atmosphere. Choice of set menu or à la carte. Personally, I would recommend the à la carte menu. The wine is particularly good value. The service is very good and we were fortunate to be served by the ever attentive Cris from El Salvador. The place is busy and popular and it is advisable to book in advance. It was our first time there, and it won't be our last. Somewhat of a hidden gem. Highly recommended.

We walked in to eat and were told to come back after 1h which we did. We still had to wait for 50 minutes when we came back and got told multiple times that the table will be ready in a couple of minutes. We sat next to the bathroom and every time somebody opened the bathroom door a really disgusting smell emerged. The toilet of the women's bathroom would not flush. One of the staff members even realised our long waiting time and made jokes about giving us free drinks which never happened. The food itself was very tasty.

Hands down one of the finest restaurants I've been to in quite some time. The food is of the highest quality. One of the few places to go for quality over quantity. The staff could not have been more pleasant, I felt so welcome. Special thanks to Douglas for the oustanding customer service and kindness! The interior is fabulous. Cozy vibes and stylish. The food is reasonably priced as well. I recommend booking before hand as this gem isn't as hidden as one might like it to be!

There is a great italian atmosphere in the restaurant (restaurant is placed at first floor) friendly and serviceminded staff. The food is very nice, and tasty. Good portion size at a fair price. (If you need a split bill, it is recommended to tell the staff in advance) i recommend you visit antica toscana if you are in the area and looking for italian food.

Went here with a group of friends for my birthday and was greatly disappointed. We were seated for almost an hour before our orders were taken and at the end of the night, when we tried to split our bill, our server was extremely rude and unhelpful. She rolled her eyes at us, handed us a calculator and made us sort out our bill ourselves. She then said we owed her extra money but wouldn’t tell us what food it was or help us sort it out. In the end we paid the extra €27 without knowing what it was for. Very shocked and disappointed with the service. None of us will be returning.

If you want to eat real Italian pizza this is not the place. It tastes like a normal take away pizza. The mozzarella is mixed with some other cheese, def not an Italian thing, and they don't have any typical Italian ingredients. The only good thing is that the place is nice. Owner is serious and not very welcoming.

Food was gorgeous, got starters and mains and they came out so quickly! Even before we got our starters we got complimentary little garlic bread which was nice. I’d gotten a chicken and mushroom dish and it was divine. Chicken was so soft and the sauce was really nice. The staff were friendly and attentive, the restaurant itself had a nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and will be going there again in the future!

We went there in Valentines day and we were disappointed. 30€ for a veeery cheap menu, and drinks were not even included. Food wasn't good enough for the price we paid. Won't come back.

I would not recommend this restaurant if you like to enjoy your meal, we were asked to buy more drinks or leave after 80 minutes. We had not even finished the bottle of wine we’d ordered.. The manager spent the whole time tapping his watch at the staff and even seen him cleaning the wine glasses in his shirt and putting them on the shelves. The offer of free shots wouldn’t have made up for the way they treat customers. There’s to many restaurants in Drogheda to have to put up with this kind of experience..

Had a really nice meal here last week. There was only a set menu on offer rather than a full menu that's found online so that was a slight disappointment, as mains in particular were a little limited. We had calamari, chicken wings, brie and garlic bread for starters - all nicely presented and good flavours. For mains we had sea bass, beef medallions, pizza and a chicken dish. Again great portion size and all beautifully cooked. Had there been some more pasta dishes on offer it would have been perfect, but it will have to settle for very good.

Went here with my wife and daughter a couple of weeks ago on a Friday night. The place was fairly full but the service was excellent coupled with wonderful authentic Italian food and wine made for a perfect night out and very reasonably priced.

Great food, fair prices, friendly staff topped with italian music, that brought back nostalgic memories. Don't be fooled by the entrance, I discovered the place by mistake and kept eating there every evening for the hole stay in Drogheda. Never thought I will eat the best vegan cannelloni in Ireland.😱 Thank you for the cosy experience! Totally recommend if you need a nice place, away from the traditional loud Irish pub's.😉

Very different now from what it used to be. Menu available on weekends is extremely overpriced. 60 euros for a starter and a main that have nothing special about it. In fact, my partner's Caesar salad was supermarket quality. There are much better options for that money around the area, so we won't go back and also won't recommend to anyone.

Nice food, nice staff...but...we were seated on the lower level near the bar and the smell from the toilets was awful. I can only hope this is a temporary issue but it's not pleasant. The staff were nice though as I said...and the food was nice..Manager needs to relax though..pretty intense for no real reason that I saw.

I'm not sure how this restraunt has been in business for so long. The staff were overbearing and made us feel uncomfortable. The food was probably the worst I've had in Drogheda. Like a microwave pasta meal but four times the price. 2 of 3 diners couldn't eat their food. It was chewy and bland. The garlic bread wasn't even cooked properly, the garlic was still raw. Would give 0 stars if possible.

Table of 2,ordered pizzas and desserts which were OK. Service was quick, different waiters/waitresses for each part of our meal. At the end of the meal we paid separately and were asked "where's my tip?" which made us feel uncomfortable and tainted our overall experience. Would not be in a rush to return.

Authentic Italian eatery. The owner who hails from Bologna was so nice warm and hospitable. The atmosphere and decor is really welcoming and the food is gets my seal of approval. Even the music suits the tone for a proper Italian experience. We were even offered complimentary liqueur before we left which is unheard of in Ireland nowadays

I went here for a meal at the weekend; it my first time in a restaurant since everything reopened after the COVID lockdown. I wasn't impressed with how the restaurant handled social distancing. The restaurant was completely full and contained the same number of tables that there has always been so it felt extremely cramped. Only one waiter wore a mask correctly covering his mouth. Others who wore a mask thought it was sufficient to wear it only around their chin, leaving their mouth exposed. What's the logic in that? And then the remainder of staff didn't attempt to wear anything at all. The only other COVID related signage in the entire restaurant was a couple of yellow stickers going up the steps reminding you to keep 2m apart, which completely ended upon entering the door. I didn't see any hand sanitising stations, nor were we offered to sanitise on entering. The cleaning procedures didn't differ to what you would usually see, just a simple table wipe-down when a customer left. Overall I felt this restaurant did not comply with social distancing procedures in order to stop the spread of the virus. I won't be returning.

Having visited several times before we were looking forward to a nice meal. However, on this occasion we left disappointed......the Caesar salad was average, the lettuce was starting to brown and there was a lot of fat on the bacon. One of the napkins was filthy and we had to show the waiter and ask for a replacement. The main courses, while hot, were over cooked and lacking in the meat requested....chicken in the carbonara (4 small pieces charged at €3.99 extra) and 7 small pieces of beef in the risotto de carne charged at €15.99. The chips were also burnt and overcooked. As we had another engagement we requested the bill early. However, it took 15 minutes to arrive, with watered down shots and no corks for our wine, which we had also requested earlier! The excuse given was that another table had the card machine! When I explained that we had to go, the manager was not impressed and was extremely rude to us!! Though the food was good the level of service we received was atrocious and we we left feeling let down by one of our favourite eateries 😢😢😢

Nice and cosy place, with good food and not so high prices considering that you are in town centre. Decent meal choice (pasta, pizzas, salads and few steaks) and a early bird menu is nice for 20€ (I had soup and lasagne with salad) and was nice, friend had other options and said it was nice as well. Atmosphere was nice with Italian music in background and stuff was friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend this place for lunch or dinner.
