😐 I guess it was OK, nice decor but cappuccino was weak and watery. I fancied a bacon sandwich but it wasn't on the menu, so I asked if I could have the Guinness bread with butter and jam minus the jam with added bacon. I was told I couldn't have that so I went with the "standard" version. Presentatio... People often mention staff, breakfast, good, service, nice, coffee, menu, friendly, time, great,

I guess it was OK, nice decor but cappuccino was weak and watery. I fancied a bacon sandwich but it wasn't on the menu, so I asked if I could have the Guinness bread with butter and jam minus the jam with added bacon. I was told I couldn't have that so I went with the "standard" version. Presentation was pretty but the bread was burnt at the edges and the flour was not milled finely, it had chunks of split cereals that get stuck between your teeth. At least I don't wear dentures :) It's a shame because I read the reviews from many happy customers but regrettably I won't be back.

Eat here! We had the house fry up and an endless pot of tea. It was the best fry I've ever had. Highly recommended. The place is spotless and the distancing is maintained nicely🥳

Soup and Guinness bread was good. (2/5 green stars) Visited the Salthouse for a light lunch a few months ago and thought the food was good but their coffee was not great. Their parsnip soup and the Guinness bread that came with it were both tasty, and decent value at €5 (the soup was very substantial). Service was not very attentive; the server couldn’t answer a basic question about their coffee and they were very hard to get hold of when it came to paying. I’m probably being a bit harsh about the service, but when you decorate with chandeliers you fancy upholstery you are also setting expectations about service. I prefer restaurants that are more down to earth and rustic, but having said that, the Salthouse is nicely decorated and the huge images on the walls are nicely done. I’m also giving them 2/5 “green stars” for social and environmental impact, based on these reasons: • Having reviewed a hundred places for social and environmental impact, Salthouse gets the prize for sheer lack of information. No website or info available online (on their Facebook page, etc.) and no statements on their menu about their ingredients (sources, sustainability, certifications, etc.). • I do get it that you just want to run a restaurant and not bother with all the rest of it, but sharing info with customers is important these days – even just on the menu is fine. • I did find their coffee supplier (GreenBean Roasters) and, fittingly enough, found that they also provided almost no information on their social or environmental impact! (i.e., no mention of direct or fair trade relationships, or whether organic or shade-grown, etc.) • Not many plant-based options on their menu (vegetarian/vegan). • For ingredients like salmon or prawns, no info on sourcing. • It’s entirely possible that they have wonderful relationships with local organic farmers, sustainable seafood suppliers, etc. There’s just no information available. Will update if I come across more info. Interested in writing green star reviews? If so, contact me!

Found this place via a Google search, couldnt even find the menu online but they responded very quickly when I messaged them on Facebook and the menu looked good so we decided to give it a go. Its super cute inside with basic but comfortable decor, big windows keep it bright with a lovely view of the bridge and river outside. The staff were very friendly and efficient, we were in and out in about 45 minutes. The breakfast was really good - possibly the best black pudding I've ever had and I loved the variety of toast and the little parcels of butter. Would definitely go back to try some other dishes here next time I'm in Drogheda

All good. Had a nice breakfast in a nice room served by nice people. Lovely start to a Saturday, had a really nice day in the end, went for a walk and listened to some Fleetwood Mac, then had a nap

I am very happy to work so close to this place 🥰 food, staff and place are absolutely the best in the town. The best steak sandwich! Amazing spicy noodle salad and the soups 🤩🤩🤩

Food excellent, nice staff but the music was loud and clearly for the staff, not the clientele. This is a sadly common mistake that the owners would do well to avoid for the future by playing appropriate music for the clients and time/day. I.e. sunday morning is not the time for club music!

Visit Salt house sometime. The food is always amazing. But egg benedict is not really my taste, looks good but the bread is very sweet. My son ordered cottage pie, the gravy sauce is very salty. Maybe it is just my luck.

Greatly improved of late. One of the better full Irish breakfasts in town. Good coffee, good service, great mimosas made with freshly squeezed orange juice

Consistently excellent in every way. Versatile menu, always specials available. Casual dining but suberb staff and service. Eggs benedict so yummy, and the chicken schnitzel Consistently excellent. Not to mention the divine French savignon blanc. Thanks Fidelma and your brigade for excellent experience every time we go. 🥰

I went to have breakfast with my family, and the food took a long time and although it had a good presentation, it lacked flavor. Oh! and the toasts I ordered with salmon and scrambled eggs were burned, but I think what left me most dissatisfied was the attention of the waitresses, they did not make me feel comfortable at all.

👍 We drove from Dublin to have lunch here, and it was completely worth it. The food is excellent here and so is the selection of the menu. I like the food fusion places a little bit more than the authentic one. It shows creativity, and this place is awesomely doing this. The chicken parmesan was so...
