We had never tried this place out before so queuing system was confusing and staff were only being friendly to people who were clearly regulars. Breakfast was okay but my plate had butter and sauce all along the side which made it really sticky. Pastries were nice but I don't think it's a good spot for sit in dining - more for takeaway

Lovely selection of cakes and buns. Hot meals also served. First floor window seat is ideal for watching the world go by.

I left Ireland many years ago and I was just asking my friend who lives in Drogheda, about Moorland Café today. I was a traveller during the Celtic Tiger days and in there regular for breakfast (best in Ireland). Always delicious food and great atmosphere, happy memories. So pleased to hear it's still doing well. Next time I visit home, I'll be calling in again 😋

Had lunch here yesterday opted for chicken and mushroom vol-au-vent with fries, my company had quiche lorraine with fries and vegetable soup with a toasted ham, cheddar and ballymaloe relish which was delicious. We then had lattes, tea, apple pie & cream, chocolate muffin and chocolate cake. Space a bit tight and extremely warm, hence witholding a star, but would recommend this cafe.

Just consistently great service,a beautiful bread and confectionery counter when you walk in ,makes it hard to resist buying goodies. But it's the staff consideration and attention to detail that makes the Moorland so great. Thanks guys.

Breakfast was sooo good at this place. They have two floors of seating area and a big menu. Lots of pastries and seats. 100% recommend if your in the area. We had the club sandwich and Irish breakfast and did not disappoint. Prices are fair.

Best buns in town. Inside and outside coffee shop. Order you celebration cakes, fresh cream or not. Excellent.

A Drogheda institution. Decent enough coffee with a wide range of choices from the bakery on display. Helpful staff, clean toilets, and the outdoor seating is very comfortable. I didn't have a sandwich but they looked fabulous, maybe next time!

Great little spot breakfast, plenty of variety on the menu, very reasonably priced. It's nothing fancy but in a good way,no fuss just decent grub. Lovely fresh cream buns as well grab a couple on your way out for later, they do fresh bread and cakes etc too.

Day out from Bangor. First stop for brunch after an early start on the train from Bangor. Greeted as soon as we walked past the bun counter. We had to go back to the bun counter for afternoon coffee. Staff wonderful. Food beautiful

It is what it is. Nothing posh or very fancy but very clean, lots of tables. Excellent bakery with fresh cream cakes etc. Birthday cakes are fab.Good selection of sandwiches and hot food including traditional breakfast. Price is reasonable too. If your out and about in the town and want to grab a proper cup of tea and lunch it's perfect or if you had a few too many and need a fry up its up to the job. Also a nice place to bring a nanny for scone or kid for a fancy cake treat.

👍 We drove from Dublin to have lunch here, and it was completely worth it. The food is excellent here and so is the selection of the menu. I like the food fusion places a little bit more than the authentic one. It shows creativity, and this place is awesomely doing this. The chicken parmesan was so...
