😠 Three of us. Regular customers. Waited today 45 minutes for lunch (two portions of scrambled eggs and a burger - very simple). It was busy, so we were asked if we wanted to sit at a tiny table for two, we politely declined. Eggs overcooked and potato wedges looked as through they'd been thrown into... People often mention lunch,

I happened to stop here for lunch on the first warm day of the year. The large glass area of roof let the very welcome sunlight in. I had a delicious chicken wrap with my now drink of choice, decaf coffee. Great service and lovely food . I will make this my Drogheda place to go to.

Have had a couple of Good experiences but went in today with my wife and 3 kids ordered off the kids menu or so l thought then meals arrived and we got four adult meals and sausage and beans for my son which was what he ordered. However the sausages were not fit for consumption and the wedges that l received were completely burned. My wifes fish cakes were luke warm but she didn't want to complain. When l brought it to their attention was still charged over 30 euro for pancakes and french toast with some fruit, not impressed.

Three of us. Regular customers. Waited today 45 minutes for lunch (two portions of scrambled eggs and a burger - very simple). It was busy, so we were asked if we wanted to sit at a tiny table for two, we politely declined. Eggs overcooked and potato wedges looked as through they'd been thrown into the mountain of Mordor. Burger bun was dry. Everything went wrong here today. Manager's explanation - "it's the lunch rush, and the burger held it all up" - yes, it's all my fault, perhaps I should've ordered some overcooked eggs instead, maybe we would've eaten a little sooner. Thanks, Relish. I'll pass next time (and every time from now on).

Fave place for coffee or lunch in Drogheda (4/5 green stars) There are a few good places to eat or have coffee in Drogheda these days (such as Salthouse, down on the Quay) but Relish has been my favorite for a few years. They make nice flat whites, their scones are great, and every lunch dish we’ve had here has been good too. I also like the feeling of the place – it’s situated in the old Franciscan friary, next to the Highlanes gallery (free entry) that occupies the church. Apparently the Franciscan monks had been in Drogheda for 760 years before they left in 2000 and donated the church and friary to the town. Relish café has lots of light and staff members are always friendly. I’m also giving them 4/5 “green stars” for social and environmental impact, based on these reasons: • They have a reasonable number of vegetarian/vegan items on the menu but could do with a few more. • For meat-eaters, all of the meat is Irish. • They use free-range eggs. • They say that they use “fresh and seasonal ingredients from local suppliers” but could be a bit more forthcoming with details. I wrote to them for more info but didn’t hear back. • For a few items they do name their sources. For example, Hegarty’s cheddar, which is made in Cork using milk from their own small farm and vegetarian rennet. That’s about all I have – I’ll try and pay more attention next time and pick up more info : ) Interested in writing green star reviews? If so, contact me!

I adore Relish. My favourite place to go for breakfast. The menu is fab, with something to suit everyone, whether you want a fry or a healthy balanced choice you'll be happy! The food is always great, the staff are very friendly and can't do enough to help you. I also love the decor, there is a nice and relaxed vibe. Added bonus is that the cafe is attached to the gallery, so you can get a bit of culture after you eat!

Like a tardis! Take away or sit in (popular place). Coffee is worth a visit, but would recommend the relish burger. Meat cooked to perfection. Cajun spiced wedges. Lush! Sits within an old church so lovely setting. 2 minutes walk from the main high street (opposite the shopping centre, by St. Laurence's gate) so no excuse not to pay them a visit. If we're ever down that way again it'll be first on the list. A local favourite.

If I could give zero stars I would without hesitation. When we entered we were handed 2 menus and told to take a seat wherever was free. We sat down and waited 20 minutes for a waiter. We tried to place an order with the waiter only to be told that there would be another 20 minutes wait for food. No offer of complimentary tea or coffee while we waited. Will never be back. They also have a child play area at the back of the dining area which created slot of noise from children playing with the toys.

Lovely lunch, in such a nice atmosphere, such nice stall and tasty, excellent food. I had meant to rush in, scoff and go. But I ended up relaxing, as I enjoyed the whole. I stayed for a delish coffee and desert. Made my day!
