Staff were very welcoming and although our room and bathroom were quite small, the place was very clean and had everything we needed. Shout out to Michelle and Ann-marie who were amazing. Thanks ladies! Would stay if we were ever visiting Ireland again from Western Australia.

The Glenside Hotel has one must-fix item to ensure better hospitality for guests. It is a make shift fire alarm directly inside the front door. Around 3AM during our overnight stay, someone at a group function accidentally pressed the glowing red button, thinking it would open the doors. But at Glenside, pressing the red button at the front door sets off fire alarms in all rooms. In most venues, the fire alarm is a red curved fixture with a pull-down lever. It does not look like a door button. Recommend the Glenside Hotel replace the make shift fire alarm with a real fire alarm. Or don't permit late night finctions without having a staff member standing to the inside right of the main door.

Myself and my three kids got an amazing deal for a family room at the Glen side over the phone with Christine who is an absolute diamond. From the moment we checked in everyone was so lovely. Hotel is absolutely spotless and the rooms are the same. We went to funtasia one day which was only a quick drive, emerald park another day which was only a half hour drive and got the train into Dublin zoo also from drogheda. The breakfast was fab, and there is an enclosed back garden for kids. Everything was 10/10 and I will definitely be back. Thank you Christine.

Had a lovely afternoon in Henry's for my daughters confirmation. The food was spot on, very tasty, generous portions, and a reasonable priced set menu with plenty of options. The staff and service were so nice and professional. We'll be back and I'd recommend it to friends.

The lunchtime carvery is nice but very overpriced it's not worth the price they charge for standard pub grub. I would expect table service instead of queueing up for my food for prices like this. It's awkward when I have to negotiate 2 trays with dinners for elderly family members who can't get up to queue and other bits like gravy boats, etc. because I can only carry 1 tray at a time, so it's stressful when there's a queue of people behind me waiting to come back to get the 2nd tray. I do not recommend the desserts because they don't taste fresh and are just sitting on a cold shelf to help yourself. There are only 2 choices of starters, soup and breaded mushrooms with garlic dip, which is extremely expensive. If my memory serves me right, it costs €7.50 for a mushroom starter. I do love the gravy and white sauce here. They never change the menu. It's the same every weekend and they have not had roast lamb in such a long time. Increasing their prices and reducing their menu is no incentive to go back regularly. BTW I am aware everywhere has had to increase their prices, but it's over the top for a carvery that doesn't keep the nice thing's they used to have on the menu. They also dilute the mint sauce to a very runny vinegary solution which I'm sure they think we don't notice. When you request extra things with your dinner, you have to ask a few times or you're forgotten about and almost finished your meal by the time they arrive with your order

Staff were friendly & attentive. Busy at lunch times with a steady flow of locals coming in for lunch. Food quality was good & reasonably priced. Free jugs of orange & blackcurrant juice left out for the kids.

We had a lovely meal today in Henry's restaurant at the glenside for my little girls communion. The restaurant was lovely and the food was really nice. The staff were so friendly, professional and accommodating. The little personalised communion menu was a lovely touch!

Stayed here for work. Whole hotel has been modernised since my last stay, it looks fantastic and rooms were lovely. Food was fabulous and staff so friendly.

Stayed a few weeks back. Couldn't have been happier here. We tied the stay in with a trip to a local amusement park which I highly recommend doing what we did, that way we didn't have to hit the road at 3pm like a lot of others so had the park all to ourselves for the last 2 hours then went to the hotel. From the minute we entered the hotel it was hilarious, we were a group of 6 adults and 6 kids, the lady at reception was very funny and had a great laugh with the kids. The same lady had actually rang us a few days before to check as we had said one kid was sick and may not need that extra bed but it was the care factor of her call was really appreciated. We then sat outside and the kids played on the safe enclosed grass area and the lady from the bar was equally as lovely. Great personality and took the time to ask about us and the kids. Dinner was gorgeous, good wholesome food with a great variety, very accommodating towards the kids. Rooms were lovely and beds super comfortable. Spotless and staff ensured all the kids were sorted. Very good value for food and rooms. Looks to be the ideal spot for a wedding, confirmation etc. Highly recommend this place and the staff.

Lovely carvery on a Sunday, we visited a half hour before it closed and the food was still lovely, hot and fresh. They give huge portions so I ordered a half dinner and it was more than enough! Very pleasant chef and servers. Very clean dining room too.

We had our Aunts 90th birthday party, 23 people attended. The meal was delicious (Scampi was fab) the staff were so attentive. We needed more seats at the last minute and a table was added on for more guests in seconds. Everything went to plan. I will most certainly be back. Thank you for making the day go so smoothly.

Didn't stay the night. Ambiance in the hotel was very special, it was a beautiful place to have the wedding I attended. The food was excellent. Music was really good. I enjoyed every minute from 2pm till 2am.

Everything in Glenside is perfect, staff are management couldn't make myself or my wife to be any more welcome or comfortable. They catered to all of our needs and requirements, so roll on our wedding day at the Glenside 9th of September. One of the best days of my life I get to say yes to the one I love and will spend the rest of my life with .

10 years the club is having their awards night at this venue. It's a perfect location for all participants, from cork or Kerry to Antrim or Derry.

The staff here is awesome and very friendly. I will admit i was little concerned driving up as what did we get ourselves into. But as soon as you walk through the doors the smiles and clean atmosphere put you at rest. We had to leave early for a flight and the Night attendant waited on us and made us feel like we had a personlized chef. Great guy. The food was great with many Gluten Free options. The beds were a little too firm, but thats my only concern. We would definitely stay again! Thank you to the staff! You make this place what it is!

They served a very generous amount of Meat,Veg and potato this I do not see in many eateries. The staff were super friendly and very attentive. The place was spotless as were the bathrooms. We were thrilled with our experience while visiting the Glenside Hotel Yesterday. It is so easy to get to if travelling in the Dublin or drogheda direction. Keep up the super service. Today is my partner's 70th birthday and we went to the Glenside for lunch. We had our tea in reception and the wonderful staff surprised Eddie with cake to celebrate his birthday. He was absolutely delighted as was I. It was not necessary at all but very much appreciated. Thank you to the staff and also for singing Happy birthday to him, you made his day .

We, a group of 26 healthcare workers, chose the Glenside Hotel for our Christmas Party this year (2023). We were not disappointed. From the moment of booking until we left the venue, we were so impressed with the service that was provided. The staff were extremely professional and attentive to everyone, on what was a very busy night for them. The food was delicious and the entertainment had us dancing into the night. We just had my son's wedding there and 5 stars is not enough the Glenside is amazing not 1 of the guests wanted to leave the food was out of this world and all the staff were amazing they couldn't do enough for anyone the memories we have made there a truly amazing thank you to everyone at the Glenside Hotel for everything.

I find this place very good for a Birthday Celebration or Anniversary or an Every day Carvery Lunch. The Staff are so friendly and helpful. There is a lovely seating area out the back where you can relax with your cup of tea/coffee sandwich or even a glass of wine on a nice day.

We had your Wedding on Saturday 30/04/2022 in Glenside and what can I say about the hotel and the staff is only Excellent the hotel it self is lovely the rooms very clean and freshly decorated, the food is top class , never get the treatment like we did there was nothing they could not do for us To make the day any better other than the Weather it rained ! And we did the ceremony indoors but it was decorated so good my now wife was so happy . Thanks again all staff and Glenside hotel for making your day so happy would recommend to everyone

We had a meal at the Glenside for our mam's 80th birthday. The menu had mam's name on it and she was thrilled with the food and the service. Thank you to all the staff for making our mam feel very special on her birthday. I would highly recommend this hotel. Really worth paying a visit to here.

Fabulous Easter Sunday meal. Staff were so accommodating even though the restaurant was full. Every bite was delicious, especially the roast lamb.

Had Easter Sunday dinner. 4 course 30.00.had vol au vants. Had turkey ham veg and gravy. Then sticky toffee pudding. Delicious. Service top notch. Girls are so helpful. Will 100% be back. 10/10.

Tasty food, loads of staff on duty. Restaurant on the left of reception desk, carvery through double doors on right. You are not allowed to sit down in the bar/carvery section until everything is ready and staff give the go-ahead (around 12:30pm). There was a big queue of people waiting to be told where to sit in the carvery, so we opted for the restaurant, which was empty. Staff told us that you usually can only eat in the restaurant with a booking, no walk-ins, but very kindly let us have us a table from 12:30pm until 2:30pm, which was ample time for us. Our waitress wasn't sure what ciders they had on draught (they just have Bulmers) but kindly allowed me to go into the bar myself to check. Don't get caught out by asking/waiting for the bill when you're finished - if you queue at the till at the door someone will be with you eventually.

Everything was perfect just wish white sauce was an option as well , staff very good and polite. Tried booking for ten people Friday night but they are booked out no Wonder in 6 star rating from me .well 👍👍👍👍👍

The most amazing staff team and customer service. I love working in the Glenside. I also celebrate any family functions here too. Amazing food. A venue and staff team that really knows their customers and goes to the nth degree to deliver the best service.

Having our wedding here next Spring. The attention to detail and customer service is second to none along with their legendary menus. Easily competing with larger hotels who are not as friendly, hence our decision to use this venue.

Hospitality and food was 10 out of 10. Wedding suite is disappointing, IE, shower head adjuster broken, TV all HDMI ports ripped out , bed like lying on stone plus pillows. Would suggest spending a couple of thousand ,. May wire in usb ports and new TV. 2 inch memory foam Topper on bed or replace mattress and pillows with memory foam mattress and pillows. Take bath out put in walking shower and a round jacuzzi tub would be more romantic.

Went for Sunday carvery food was fab. There was actually too much food on plate. Only down side was by the time the chips came to table your dinner was cold or finished.

Second time here the restaurant had great choices, reasonable prices and the room was very spacious.

Absolute gem of a hotel in Drogheda, a little off the beaten track location wise. Food superb , staff amazing, rooms quality , comfortable and spotless.

We had a fantastic stay at the Glenside. We were travelling to Emerald Park and Funtasia over 2 days, so it was an idea location for us to stay not too far from either place. The food was excellent - breakfast both mornings was very tasty. Dinner on the first evening was bar food and it was really good. The chicken wing main that I had was a great portion and very tasty. We had carvery dinner the next day and it was excellent. Finally, the staff were amazing from the moment we entered on day one. Everyone we dealt with were so kind and couldn't do enough for us throughout our stay. I'd like to give a special shout of to Jenny and Katie who were so good to our little girl over the couple of days, even stopping and playing little games with her at points during the stay. You can't teach that kind of service!!

Had a function for a kid's birthday party today and I was so impressed with the service we got from the staff there. The function room itself was lovely and priced very reasonably but it was the service that we got from the staff that really helped make the day run so smoothly. From early in the morning they were on hand to help us get the decorations and other stuff we had in as easy as possible. They accommodated any requests that were made...even when we changed our minds a few times. Every staff member I dealt with was eager to help and had a genuine smile on their face. The food was beautiful and God Bless the staff that had to clean up after us!! But even then they were doing it with a smile on their face. Would recommend considering a function at this hotel. Thanks guys!!!
