A beautifully appointed Gallery. A must visit. Knowledgeable staff and a genuine warm welcome. It also has a cafe/restaurant attached. So a wonderful destination point. Beautifully designed incorporating the old Abbey Church.

Highlanes Gallery is in what was the Franciscan Church, Laurence's Street, Drogheda. Art exhibitions are held here. This is a wonderful place to visit, memorable. The building itself is large, a great sense of light and space pervades. Staff are very helpful & informative. There is a small shop where postcards of Drogheda and copies of some of the paintings on display can be purchased. To the front of the building, opening onto Laurence's Street is Relish Cafe. This super eaterie serves breakfast, lunch, casual meals to a very high standard. Great food & excellent service. Various items, suitable as presents, can also be bought in Relish. Visiting Highlanes Gallery is an experience to be savoured & enjoyed.

Great little Art gallery. Entrance is free for all. Modern and classical art works on exhibit there. Great references to Drogheda's history and works from international and local artists.

It's a decent art gallery. Better than a lot of the bigger ones. However, I did find the staff to be quite overly attentive, and felt like I couldn't leave when I was ready.

This space (actually a very old church built in 1830), owned by the city council, has been turned into an art gallery 11 years ago, preserving some amazing architectural details from it's past. A must see!
