What a lovely, old gothic style church with such a rich and interesting history. It's building was started in 1793, during a time when Catholic chapels were forbidden within town walls. A beautiful Shine of St Oliver Plunkett is there. His Holy Relics are awe inspiring. More so after reading about those who preserved and protected them at great peril to their own lives. We could have spent hours looking at intricate stone work and artwork throughout the church. There was a profound sense of peace there. It also is a vibrant and growing Parish with lots of young families.

I love this church it's stain glass windows are magnificent. The way the light shines on to the Altar is beautiful. If you are in Drogheda pop in and see this magnificent church.

Gothic limestone church. Decorative. But has a ghoulish tribute to Saint Oliver Plunkett - his charred skull and various body parts are stored in the west chapel.

Thank you Jesus, for dying on the Cross for our sins. The St. Relic of the Holy Cross is there. Praise The Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

A very beautiful church (not a cathedral in a technical sense) containing the relics (including the preserved head) of Saint Oliver Plunkett, patron saint of peace and reconciliation in Ireland. There is also a relic (a splinter) of the true Cross of Our Lord. The music at the Mass here is wonderful.

Many thanks for allowing us to come in to see the head of Saint Oliver Plunkett and also for stamping our credentials.

Love this church, adoration offered throughout the majority of the week. Mid week confession available too. Real presence can be felt here.

My father and I visited this church in Drogheda while going on a day tour in Belfast in July 2013. It's a beautiful church. We're the visitors from Dublin.
