We didn’t have a lot of time, so we skipped the museum and just explored the tower. It was fascinating, and we had a most excellent guide named Shane. He was so knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the history of the area. We really wished we could stay longer for the museum as well, but we still learned a lot about the Irish War of Independence and other history of the area.

We had a great guided tour throught he Millmount tower. Please be aware that during windy weather you won't be able to visit the tower, thus, plan your trip considering the weather conditions.

Amazing and full of history about Drogheda.

There's a challenge for local museums in terms of how best to cover their entire community history. And a challenge in relying on enthusiastic volunteers. There is much of interest here but the guided tours/talks skim the surface of some and avoid others. A new centepiece of the major Irish contribution to the Battle of Waterloo now overshadows the local aspects of the Irish Civil War and the sieges of the Wars of the Three Kingdoms. 6 Euro entry for adults.

An eclectic collection from Drogheda's industrial history over 3 floors, plus for an additional charge access to the Martello tower with its military story.

Fantastic tour guide, rich history, and expansive knowledge within. If you have time, I would highly recommend stopping in here to meet some of the most knowledgeable people around. Not to mention the wonderful view!

Great day. They had a family fun day. The kids loved it. They loved seeing the museum and recognised their nanas house on a town map in it. They loved the tower too

The star attraction is the the tower and its views of surrounding Drogheda, or as the locals call it 'The Cup and Saucer'. The Tower and Museum are definitely a way to spend some time seeping in history, from settles bed memories to call cards to making butter to the tall ships in Drogheda port, check out the old beautiful photos of postcards of old Drogheda. The guides are very informative and I'd recommend a visit.

We enjoyed our visit, really good guides, they made the history very interesting, model of Waterloo was a great aid to the story of the battle, also being able to handle the weapons helped bring the whole history to life. The museum in my opinion could be better put together it's a bit all over the place and certainly needs a clean up.

Very eclectic with random stuff throughout but worth going to see as there are some interesting collections, particularly if you're from the area and want a walk down memory lane. I would definitely like to see more in the museum and I think they could make better use out of some of the spaces.

Very informative. Recommend it to any local as there's a ton of stuff you'll find out about the town that you never knew. Thought I'd be here about an hour and ended up staying for around 2. Views from tower are great. Guide, Mark, was very good. Wish the town and county put as much effort into restoring the rest of the old town as has been done here. Drogheda's potential is massive and it's being let go to waste by the negligence of the political leadership. Definitely recommended.

I had a fantastic experience at Millmount Museum in Drogheda! The exhibits were well-organized and informative, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I particularly enjoyed learning about the history of the area and exploring the old military fort that the museum is housed in. The panoramic views of the town and surrounding countryside from the top of the hill were breathtaking. It's clear that a lot of care has been taken to preserve and showcase the heritage of this fascinating part of Ireland. I would highly recommend a visit to Millmount Museum to anyone interested in history, culture, or just looking for a unique and enjoyable day out.

Visited the Museum yesterday. The steps and climb a challenge, especially in the company I was in, but really enjoyed the whole experience especially hearing the history of Drogheda town. Thank you Ian.

I didn't have a chance to go inside. They said they were closed but the time was 4:15 when I went and it should have been open till 5.

Was here to promote a charity publication for Temple Dark Books, in aid of SOSAD Ireland. Staff were friendly and accommodating and the venue is seeped in history. A must visit for everyone this side of the country.
