Lovely place, super nice guide, but the ticket price is actually exaggerated. To see a 15 minute video of the owner, visit 3 rooms and a staircase, they charge 14 euros for adults and 7 for children. Very disappointed, the tour could really be better for that price. The unexpected end of the tour ruined the mood of the day and the beautiful experience. It would be the case that, at the time of paying for the tickets, the cashiers would warn customers that the visible rooms are reduced to 3 because the others are being renovated and not that this thing is communicated at the end of the visit only if it is pointed out.

We visited Shane castle and the distillery both of which were a great experience. I would suggest to visit on a day when an event is scheduled to get the best of the place. The distillery tour is excellent and the merchandise shop has some great stuff

Beautiful place, unfortunately we were to late to take any tour inside, so we just went to a bar for a delicious drink with whisky from the distillery next door. Castle looks incredible from the outside so make sure to walk around. They also have a restaurant outside.

Fantastic tour of the distillery and a lovely walk around the Castle and grounds. Brilliant tour guide Gary was friendly, informative and helpful. Took time with the tour, didn't rush anything and the Whiskey taste at the end was enlightening.

I went for the Harry Styles gig. My first gig at Slane and hopefully the start of many more. I haven’t been to the site normally so cannot comment on tours or other things that go on outside of concerts. A fantastic venue for such an incredible artist. The view of the castle and river is amazing. I managed to get Gold Circle tickets meaning I had some of the best views in the house. The body/bag search was a stress free process and tickets scanning was fast and efficient with different queues for different tickets (circle, ga, pits etc). Plenty of food and drink stalls although the alcohol stand was at the top of the hill with none down near the pits. Lots of security and Gardaí on site so I felt safe. Harry, as always, is excellent and put on a show definitely worth the ticket price. The venue was sold out which resulted in long queues and wait times but that’s to be expected with over 80,000 people. Obviously the long walk to the car park and transport puts people off but I personally found this to be one of the best parts of the night singing along with the crowd going back. Overall, I fully recommend Slane for a concert venue and if an artist you like performs there definitely go ahead and go!!! Don’t let the walk to/from the venue put you off - it’s all part of the experience.

Grand castle, grounds and distillery. Despite grey weather, very enjoyable experience to tour castle grounds and visit local distillery. A delight to all castle lovers and a must visit to irish whisky connoisseurs.

Where do I begin. I have so many wonderful things to say about Slane Castle and the staff there. My husband and I are from America and we just had our wedding at Slane Castle in the beginning of October. The first thing I want to comment on is how helpful the coordinators Shiyra and Cheryl are. Shiyra made planning from a distance so much easier on me. She was quick to respond to emails and always worked with me to create exactly what we would want for our wedding. She had no problem meeting through zoom with me to ease my concerns of not meeting/seeing anyone or anything til the day before the wedding. I have to say, when we arrived to the castle, it completely took my breath away. It is just absolutely jaw dropping. I remember walking around when we first got there and I just kept saying that I couldn’t believe this was real. We met Cheryl when we arrived at the castle the first day. She was absolutely amazing I can’t say enough on how much she helped us that first day. We had tours of the castle and distillery lined up that day for all of our wedding guests. Literally everyone was running late that day as travel times with unfamiliar roads as you can imagine took longer than anticipated. She took charge and told us not to fret and we literally rescheduled the timing of the entire day. I felt so terrible but she just told me not to fret that everything is just fine. She even had the chef make everyone chicken tenders and fries when she realized people hadn’t eaten all morning. To top it all off, she even went to the grocery store for my family to pick up some snacks and drinks to keep at the castle when my family didn’t have time to stop on the way. She is just a completely beautiful person and really went out of her way to make me feel at ease when stress and tensions were high. The food throughout our entire time there was some of the most delicious food we had in Ireland. The castle tour was so informative and really cool to learn about the involved history of the castle. The team at the distillery did a great job with our tour showing us all of the behind the scene processes. Of course the whiskey tasting was great!! Our wedding day was completely magical. We felt like a king and queen and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Slane Castle. I am saddened that I never had the time to walk the trails on the grounds with all of the events going on but that just means we will have to visit one year on an anniversary! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone at the beautiful Slane Castle. I definitely recommend this venue to anyone considering it for any event. You will not be disappointed!

We drove to Slane to do a tour of the castle. It was closed for a funeral, but they didn’t have anything on the website to let people know. The outside was lovely. Would love to have the chance to visit when it’s open if we make it to Ireland again.

Amazing place! We went for the Viking festival last week 20th May and it was great experience I 100% recommended to assist either to the castle or any event on this place 🙌🏻✨

We visited the grounds of Slane castle for the Harry Styles concert! Wow! It was such a beautiful venue for such a monumental night! The event was so well organised, with over 60,000 people attending they did so well to make sure everyone was safe! I did not manage to get any pictures of the castle itself, but it was beautifully lit and looked incredible!

1st timer courtesy of the one & only Mr.Styles, and wow what a unique, incredible day. Venue, atmosphere, all excellent. We didn’t drink any water for fear of losing our spot in the golden circle.. we saw 2 girls collapse & my husband felt faint so I think water should’ve been handed around like at Belsonic. The walk is mammoth but all part of the experience! An unforgettable concert. Well done for reviving Slane for the younger generation

Lovely grounds. Very pretty. Village isn't very used to seeing brown people. Everyone kinda gave me the once-over. But no one said anything. *shrug*

It was Amazing. The history of it, the premises, the staff, and the distillery absolutely fabulous. Open back for the public Saturday and Sunday, and the farmers market on a Thursday.

Worst concert Show place experience ever. No infrastructure, 4 hours to leave, at least 1 hour to have food, at least 25 minutes to have a beer, bathroom not enough and not organized it was “mixed”. Never again for any shows. Also impossible to watch the show, really far on standing. Don’t go! Maybe to visit a out of a show should be a nice experience.

I was delivering pots for an upgrade they were doing at one of the areas of the castle. I was lucky enough to get a mini tour around the grounds. Hoping to go back sometime soon for a proper visit and really get a feel for the place and its history.

I've never been to Slane Castle before even though it's on my door step. Visited the Christmas Market today and there was plenty of hand crafted items for sale with artisan foods. There are food stalls to get a bite to eat and have a coffee. Highly recommended the hot mulled cider well worth a look and spend a few hours and help local crafters.

Magical Slane Castle, experience the history of the famous Rock concerts and see the castle grounds from the objective you always wished you had. Hear the history of the Conyngham family and Slane Castle. See Rock farm and the Slane castle distillery and taste the fine Irish whiskey. Really what else would you be doing!

We spent a terrific morning walking the Slane Castle concert trail. A day of reminder of some of the great concerts especially those that we attended. A very friendly welcome from Tina followed by a Stoll around the rear of castle and on to the stage area and on along the river, great views of castle and concert venue with fan snippets of info along the way. Some seating along the way especially after lady's well would be a great addition, to rest and take in the sight.Tina welcomed this suggestion. We will be back for the house tour and to visit the distillery soon.

Today I spent a beautiful day in a spectacular place. The castle looks very good, the landscaping is neat, there are benches where you can sit and a kiosk where you can buy a snack or a soft drink. We spent a wonderful hour in the distillery yard, where we served an excellent cocktail. Unfortunately the restaurant was fully booked and we could not serve anything there. But will be back!

A wonderful castle in lush rolling countryside. We were so lucky to go to a wedding celebrated in the Castle.

We did not have a booking (party of 5 with an infant) but we found places for the guided tours. They have fixed hours for the tours, so it would be better to book in advance just to be safe. The tour is pretty good with some interesting facts, but is unexpectedly "short". As impressive as the castle is we only saw 5 rooms.

Take the extended tour. The castle and distillery are both worth visiting. The whiskey is excellent and future vintages promise to be even better.

Tour interesting. It is not thinking for international tourism. We came from visiting Newgrange, where there are triptychs in different languages, as well as audio, and Slane Castle consists of a video that several televisions could put on and one of them with subtitles, or have triptychs or a link where you can read what they explain in other Languages. The visit is interesting if you like the music of U2, since they recorded their first album there, it is short, only 4 rooms. The next visit could be at a festival. They have to be impressive in the middle of nature. It is worth going and seeing the surroundings.

Was here for the Viking festival and was a great thing for families to attend, had everything from bow to boats and even done some reenactment of a viking battle and I have to say they didn't hold back either.

I did the distillery tour with a group. It was fascinating and great fun. We did a cocktail making class afterwards which is definitely worth it. Loved the whole experience!

Our favourite castle in co. Meach. Great place for walk, lovely place to taste homebase slane whiskey and to buy one. I highly recommend castle Tours as you can find out more about history and see the actual place

Castle open on Sundays but a great place to spend an hour or so. Nice trail to visit plus decent outdoor coffee area. Slane Distillery visitor shop is there too. Recommended

👍👍 Visited this museum on Sunday May 28. The guide was extremely nice and gave us a tour even though it was very close to closing time. We saw Francis Ledwidge's original bed. as he lived in this very house. All the items on display were very interesting, and we saw the original of a poem that Seamus H...
