Beautiful piece of history. But only viewable from a distance as area beneath is inaccessible to the public, which is a shame. There is the splendid old Ship Street nearby as well - Oldest surviving street in Ireland. A nice bench has been installed recently to relax on after "the stairs" (you'll know all about then if you come by train) and offers a beautiful Vista of the length and breadth of the River Boyne.

Fantasztikus lΓ‘tvΓ‘ny Γ©lΕ‘ben, ne hagyd ki!πŸ™ŒπŸΌ The Boyne Viaduct Bridge in Drogheda, Ireland, is a remarkable feat of engineering and a testament to the rich history of rail travel in the country. Spanning the majestic River Boyne, this historic railway bridge is an iconic landmark that has captured the imagination of both locals and visitors alike. Constructed in the 1850s, the Boyne Viaduct is a stunning example of Victorian-era engineering. Its towering stone piers and intricate ironwork showcase the craftsmanship and attention to detail of that period. The bridge not only serves as a vital transportation link but also provides a picturesque backdrop for the town of Drogheda. The Boyne Viaduct Bridge is not just an architectural marvel; it holds a special place in Irish history. It played a significant role in the development of the rail network, connecting Dublin and Belfast, and facilitated trade and transportation between the two cities.

A great piece and a piece of history. Although you can just look at it and take some photos, I would still suggest to go by and enjoy the view.

Great history in drogheda and all around the port and the Viaduct is pretty impressive considering the year it was built.

I love this bridge, it's always been part of my life. Growing up in Drogheda, Ireland has always been in sight. It was a focal point at the maritime festival over the weekend. Great entertainment. A big thank you to all the organisers.
